A large black cloak lies crumpled and trodden on the road leading to the east gate of Baldur's, covered in dusty footfalls and holes worn by the shoed hooves of cart drawing horse coming and going. Some would have seen it's owner discard it while in quiet but passionate exchange with a young woman.
The cloak was left, to sit in the road even as the same man and woman walked past it to enter the gate some time later.

Late evening. White haired girl arrived at Soubar carrying a package, meticulously wrapped in thick canvas. Without hesitation she directed her steps to Winding Way Inn.
-I have the mirror, Captain. - She placed the package on the counter and sat next to her former employer. - I could do it myself, but he is your friend too.

The Scribe enters Soubar by caravan, dusting his cloths, he begins walking towards the Winding Way Inn. Clearly looking out of place with embossed garbs, the scribe begins ordering a drink. Wine, delicious after hours of work, drunk with a nice hunk of cheese. This is where his wait for The Captain of the Ebon blade begins. Scrolls, packed neatly into long tubes, hang out of his messenger bag; which he keeps very close to his body.
The scribe sits enjoying his wine, as he looks through the tubes and scrolls.

He would jump at the sound of the familiar voice, almost spilling his wine before placing it down with both hands.
Well, hello there sire, I've four examples.
Placing four cylinders in front of the man the scribe would then let the captain choose.
Just so you know, if you wish for these to stay up, we have a vandals insurance of ten bags. Whenever one is defaced, or torn down, a new one will take it's place.
Giving the captain time to choose. The Scribe would then continue drinking.
1st Cylinder
2nd Cylinder
3rd Cylinder
4th Cylinder
After the Captain would look through all four, the scribe would then say.
"Sire, if I may be so coy and give suggestion. Please, take the fourth one."

The scribe sits waiting as the man contemplates. Taking out a very expensive looking cylinder. Opening it would make a hiss; as if pressurized. The Scribe would pull out a final scroll; before saying:
If you so wish, this one costs extra. Excuse the disrespect of raising the price, but this one was made special by one of our top scribes. They seem to enjoy your concept of "The Bloodening" So, they have added dyes from crushed
strawberries and roses. I do hope you enjoy this work.

Ebon Blade Daily - Lieutenant's return
After being gone on another southbound contract, El enters the fort carrying quite a lot with her. Loaded as a mule, she strides heavily upstairs where she goes straight for Captain's room. The woman carefully places the crate and bags by the wall before looking about the empty chamber for a moment with a slightly furrowed brow. Without further delay, she closes the door and would not be seen for few hours.
After having finally emerged from the room, El heads downstairs where she leaves a message for the mercs. A similar memo is also left at the Winging Way Inn with Mag.

Ebon Blade Daily - Body count, invetory checks, scheduling and Militia's overview*

In the late evening, Lieutenant walks about Soubar taking her time to talk to the locals.
She visits tents were the Militia is stationed and checks on their numbers and inventory. She can be seen dotting down some notes.
El spends a moment talking to the archers at top of the EB's small tower.
Finally, she makes a body count of able bodies within the company. When her work is done, she leaves a notice for the members and recruits both at the Fort and at Winding Way Inn.

Ebon Blade Daily - Company Meeting and Patrol
Lieutenant did not waste her time and dived right into work planning a new patrol schedule and trying to get a hold of everyone, both old and new members and recruits. Soon mercs that were available gathered at the fort around the meeting table to discuss contracts, Militia training, and few internal matters.
When the meeting came to an end, El took the Company to the Northern Trade Way for a group patrol. Not a single bandit or an orcish scout was apprehended or seen. Only the ever-present pack of wolves. Pelts were collected and later sold to a merchant oprating from Soubar.
Lieutenant made sure that the company also had some exercise in formations. Response time to commands was commendable.

Ebon Blade Daily - Patroling Soubar's environs and Thundar's Ride
Having heard from the archers and scouts about some more nasty thugs lurking in vicinity trying to harass and extract some payments for crossing Boareskyr Bridge in a manner more obtrusive than usual, Lieutenant embarked outside the hamlet's wall to check for herself. The reports proved correct, and soon the woman came across some pesky wannabe bandits waiting for travelers a little too close to Soubar for Lieutenant's liking. At first, she tried to reason with them, trying to offer these halfwits a job but they wouldn't have it, so she struck them down swiftly.
Eleanor went back to EB's Fort to see who is available and having found Drogo she ordered the hin to join her. The two successfully performed a thinning among the ruffians.
After Soubar's and Bridge's environs were yet again a little more peaceful, El and Drogo decided to make sure that some of the bugbears that appeared too interested in travelers, caravans, and hunters were eliminated.
Before returning to Soubar, mercs took a moment to look over Thundar's Ride and unable to spot any threats they returned to the village.
The mercenaries' methodical killing and portioning did not stop even with the undead minions growing stronger the deeper they ventured. All were subjugated to the same fate. Become a laboratory material for Master Alchemist. 
The last victim of mercs efficient work was the Dracolich. The black clad bunch donated the jaw bone to research while a quite different decision about the skull was made. 
Drogo polymorphed into Umber Hulk to help the boys carry the peculiar trophy. 
But the demon was eventually beaten into submission and killed. His body parts joined the rest of the collection.
