My starwars characters on the Ebenhawk server
Marcasl: Jedi sage, a master of telekinetic combat and force projection, able to toss a group of foes 30 feet in to a stone wall and then pound them by pulling chucks out of said wall, but less then a master in the art of saber fighting. Few get close enough for it to be an issue though.
Quote: "We don't have to fight, embrace the lightside" a line that almost never works...
Canton-re: Stern always professional Bounty hunter with hidden depths, and even more hidden weapons. Covered in weapons, shields, koto packs, tech galore, and with a loyal slicer genius Mako at his side to manage them.
Quote: "Dead, alive, or other?" or "No Mako I can't be more careful in this line of work" as she mends his battle wounds.
Baion: Trying to look relaxed while his left hand slips unnoticed to his blaster with a charming devil may care attitude. This smuggler is a crack shot with a blaster and the ladies. The rouge with a heart of gold, and Magnum Pi mustache to boot!
Quote: What? Me? No No that's some other guy, we get mistaken all the time. He's a real rogue though, I'd catch him quick before he gets away. Think I saw him go that way" followed by "Wow am I that good, or are they that dumb? ... I'm picking just that dam good".
Vicktor: While he's less then fully observant of the Jedi code he's a master at saber fighting, focusing as a defender and protector of innocents and friends. His will though the force can distract foes into focusing on him, or with his arsenal of bad jokes, and mocking. Marcasl's younger brother.
Quote: "We will always be together, the force binds us tighter then death can part us"
Kehls: Big man with a big gun. The model solder, very patriotic for the Republic, and Loyal to a fault. Uses a multi barrel assault cannon with different fire settings, complete with mortar launching tube in the center capable of firing incendiary and high explosive rounds.
Quote: "For the Republic!"
Xoth Bolkas: Master spy and assassin, loyal to the empire, but believes Sith are ruining it. Rarely uses his blaster pistol, the carbine on his back the most common sight. But by far most kills are up-close-and-personal with a stealth generator and a large verity of retractable vibroblades kept on his person.
Quote: "You called for an expert in wet work? Who or what is the target, get me up to speed."
Kita Shara: Imperal trained Chiss Sniper. Fun loving, though not very patreotic, but able to shoot off the nose hairs of a wamp rat, or ruining an adventures carerr with a bolt to the knee. Not cruel or evil, just good at what she does.
Quote: "It's the blaster bolt threw the eye you never see comming that kills you" Said as a threat before surprizingly stabing the slaver/pimp in the eye "Well the eye part was right" said amusingly.
Za'ak-mogii: An alien "crafted" with biogenetics and force manipulations by sadistic Sith to cerate a warrior utterly loyal to their commands, yet retaining intelligence, and can use the force. The torture used to brake him unknowingly destroyed the loyalty implants instead. He was sent as a prototype test to train with the Sith, but never allowed a lightsaber.
Quote: "Yes master" Said as a painful ruse biding his time, growing in power, until the day he can kill them all.
Tannai: Baion's sister much prefers her high powered prototype blaster rife/ion field projector on her back. A front line solder skilled in hand to hand combat with mutable techniques. Finding the day to day military life boring, she left to find battles else where in the galaxy freelance.
Quote:How's it feel to have a girl kick your @$$, brake your knee, and toss you around like a toy doll? I can't hear you!" Said to an imp now in far to much pain to hear her, one that had dared to underestimate a woman Vanguard.

The Hero engine is less than ideal, but good enough for some projects.

A project a friend and I tinker around with on occasion. We're using assets derived from a medley of titles but mostly abandonware (SWG). There's another guy out there working on a Star Wars themed title, his video link below. His approach is significantly different than mine. For example we're less dungeon-run and more instanced multi-faction hubs, customization in vehicle tinting, multi-user / multi-role ships, etc. I tend to have a gravitas toward planned and long term player empowerment, sticking in darker roles where I can. Influences from EVE Online, SW 1313, and a few other games.

It's from the game "Jedi Knight: Dark Forces 2". It used live motion for its "cut scenes"

Tempted to play the mmo again. I always liked it, kind of felt it got a bad rap. The mechanics were not revolutionary or anything but it was still a solid game.
Would be nice to dust off my jedi....but it's such a huge time sink.
