Posted in the bugs thread. I couldn't learn Summon Creature IX, so I added that to the post too.

The Scribe Scroll feat seems to be working properly now. I tested it on the 'bugged' spell list and they are all working properly. Just remember to choose the spells lowest caster level (default spell level) to save yourself some gold for your RCR

Custom server spells are the exception. They still must be chosen on level ups.

Still cannot learn invisibility from a scroll.

Scribing to Blank Scrolls from the list highlighted in Yellow..

** Vitriolic Sphere - had to cast it twice for it to scribe to the blank scroll. The system charged me twice for the gold... acquired item blank scroll / Lost 1500GP *Success - item created!* / Lost item Blank Scroll / Lost 606GP / Lost item Scroll of Vitriolic Sphere / Acquired Item Magic Scroll.

**Superior Resistance - charged twice 1650GP and 21GP
**Avasculate - Charged twice 2275gp and 10gp

It seems several spells were charging twice for the scribing onto blank scrolls.. I'm wondering if it has something to do with the caster level of the spell since you have to click the CL 15 button?

** Mass Bulls Strength - had to cast it twice on the blank scroll then it worked.

*still testing will edit as needed.*

To avoid paying 'extra' on creating your own scrolls, select a caster level below the minimum default for that spell (ie. just make everything CL 1). It'll give you an 'error' and the spell will be created at its minimum, and therefore cheapest, caster level.

Does that reduce the normal casting cost of the spell as well as the extra bit added on?!!

Normal cost applies (25gp x Spell Level x Default Caster Level)

The 'default caster level' for a spell is usually the level on which that spell may be accessed for the first time in a spell book, eg. a 3rd level spell is CL 5, 6th level is CL 11, 9th level is CL 17.

The 'extra bit' in the new system is what you have to pay to increase the spell's caster level beyond the default, although I notice this is buggy for some spells (eg. Improved Mage Armor is a 3rd level spell, min caster level 5, but always creates as a level 10 scroll and no lower, meaning it always costs 750gp minimum. If you made a CL 15 scroll, it should cost 1125).

Other spells have naturally low defaults (Flesh to Stone is 6th level, but has a default CL of 5 rather than 11).

Note that spells cannot be scribed below their default CL, so if you choose a lower CL (eg, 1!) it only charges you the base cost (and therefore the cheapest amount) and gives you the scroll of the same :)

Bigby spells cannot be scribed.

When testing, there were several spells I had to cast twice to the scroll before they would be created... I think bigsby was one of them.

Learning spells before the spell count is done will cost the scroll being learned from. So wait to scribe scrolls to book until after the server tells you how many spells your spellbook has.

Hmm, this was working before. How bizarre.

summoning spells can be scribed and studied, but you still can't add them to your spell book. If you select 'none' you lose the scroll, nothing happens (no DC checks or anything) and the spell is not added to the spellbook. If you select one of the other options the scroll casts normally, summons the selected creature, scroll is lost, still no spell learned.

I just RCRed Aeili and she learnt Invisibility from a scroll just fine. I'm not sure why it wouldn't have worked in your case?

No idea.

But I did test it on that day with a scroll. It cast the spell, but no log stating it even tried a DC opposed test.
