If you take Divinate you lose smite evil and aura of courage, you can no longer use smite evil since you are now a divinate paladin. Likewise if you take Cavalier you will not ever get Turn Undead (so no EDM Cavaliers).

Sorry! Ment turn undead. Get the two confused.
So can you get a turn undead edm divinite if you take divinite at level 2. Meaning do you still get the basic abilities with divinite kit on?

You only lose what the kit says you lose. In the case of divinate
Loses access to:
- Smite Evil
- Aura of Courage
You dont lose TU so you can make choose EDM.

Followup question, since this is a kit, and the base is still paladin, do you get the paladin bonus epic feats?

And why are both kits 'only 19 levels' ?

19 + 1paladin level was enough for what the kits give.
Maybe in the future we will implement epic paladin kits...

Question posed, can two kits be taken in the same class?

Can solar be a PRC then?
Divinate + Solar Channeler sounds too much fun!

At a minimum this would delay the implementation as I recall there being several bugs related to the PRC that as far as I understand are not an issue for the kit. It's been a while, but when I tested SC builds I recall there being quite a few abilities, including BAB that was not applying correctly.

So as to not derail the topic too much, I will say that the Solar Channeler seems to be a specific paladin that more or less would probably pray to the sun god itself lathander. I always saw this more of a PRC anyways.
On topic, I think it would be great to be able to take this PRC with either of these new kits. The kits change the class enough that its a small tween. If you could change the PRC to not require a turn undead or synergize with the new kits, I would GLADLY wait longer for it.
Just seems like too much fun to go without the combo. Plus it would actually add more paladin customization options.. Which is something they lack if you want to actually have a paladin spell book and not get dispelled.

1. That are mechanical reason why this class was made as a class kit. It fits class kits better as well
2. By introducing class kits, we will be extra careful what prcs each class can get. Solar Channeler is a very powerful class/kit and might be nerfed. Of course it would be nice to squize all those powerboosts ina build

A few questions that come to my mind about these kits:
1) Do them affect the bonus epic feats paladins have at 23, 26 and 29? If I have understood it well the build would look something like, for example, 11 Paladin / 19 Cavalier,
2) The kit can be activated in any level? If so, what happens if abilities the kit denies have been already chosen? For example, True Believer is taken at 6th level and the Divinate kit activated at 7th. This means that you would lose then both Aura of Courage and Smite Evil at this point, right? If the kit can only be activated at 1st level, it means that True Believer must be taken as initial feat to activate the Divinate kit.
3) Do the kits affect the 3b20 rule?
