RP starts at Level 1. Although everyone has their own idea of the "prefect moment" in which their Character/Build is ready to role-play, it should be said that role-play can and does start at 0 XP, on BG. This is directly a main-vein part of the concept of the Server!!

It is interesting to me when one thinks about Levels/XP as a sort of possession, a value outside of the Role-play concept itself, like, enduring credits, that can be earned and spent, infinitely. Sure, gaining XP takes effort and time and energy and commitment, but, that the result is also a continuous and constantly existing value that we "must" retain into perpetuity...where does that concept come from? Is that a need born out of lack of security over something? I as well, feel the tendency to covet my "earnings" in this game world, though they are truly meaningless and ephemeral. Thus, I am always fascinated by those players that can go beyond my own low level roll-ups and simply trash all their XP/items/Characters with regularity, and truly play "in the moment," without possession.

To have, but not possess.

The RCR tool, and especially when available, the 100% RCR, is really a Gift, with a capital G. But why is this seemingly so challenging to accept? I may be wrongly interpreting what is written in threads like these, but Levels/XP/100% RCR needs come across as entitlement issues, so very often.

The Server benefits greatly from Players starting at Zero, especially when veteran players start at zero. It is a build-in means for new players to find and connect with the Community here, and the regeneration of storylines and development of new Character ideas keeps the full spectrum of this Server alive. ALIVE!!

When the majority of Players can just wait out a year or two and remake a Level 30 toon with new, more superb Feats and Abilities, it caters to a top-heavy condition of Role-play. When things are top-heavy, they have a tendency to fall over.

That said...I'm looking forward to the 100% RCR myself! Thank you Admins for the generous, upcoming offer.

Never permadeathed a character, always mule items - sometimes the characters are made because of items i find. Some characters are involved with plots, others dont give a shit.

Joined BGTSCC on 2012. 2017 and still having fun.

This server supports almost everything. You want to call yourself a "heavy RPer", grinder, one who permadeaths characters, who doesnt mule.... Actually scratch the almost. This server supports everything.

What it doesnt support, is force one play-style over others.

We have decided that the 100% RCR period will end on 7 September 2017. This is everyone's one week notice!

It's always possible that we'll bring it back the next time we make significant changes to existing game content, but for now we feel that 5 weeks is enough time for people who were affected by the changes to evasion to have rerolled their characters (if desired).

If someone has been on hiatus and returns after the RCR period has ended, but was affected by the evasion changes, they should contact the HDMs and admins. Situations like these will be judged on a case by case basis, but may warrant a 100% RCR token even after the 100% RCR NPC has been turned off.
