Powerbuilding shouldn't be the yardstick by which all server content is managed as far as difficulty goes unless you wish to create an environment where 90% of the server struggles. Considerations should be made for the majority, the middle of the bell curve, not the tip.

Anyway.

There are ways to make content applicable to groups without scaling the difficulty to impossible. Look at Dragonspear or the Stone giant areas for examples. More content that requires groups and or skills that are uncommon to successfully navigate would promote grouping into more difficult areas.

I also agree more content should be added to the Upperdark. It's both accessible to the surface and UD AND is interior areas to minimize server stress by size of area. Plus the upperdark COULD possibly mirror the surface with several alternative entrances eventually if it's done with some consideration.

There are already so many other things Vale did that are a pain in my arse.....Like getting breached but a lich in the VOD right before 3 dread banshees walk up and wail.......Try that sometime even being a "Power Build". (News flash Kory uses a spear one handed. Went FvS to make him viable.....)


I just want more areas for our CR at 25+ please? Variety is the spice of life and I need some spice!

i think i am unclear as to what i am bringing up. i would like to see content that requires something other than a really good build to defeat. are we discussing the same thing. i think so. i would like to see content that requires really good planning and effective use of player ability to achieve what a solo player (no matter how good) could never accomplish. i am not saying that this could not be done with less than optimized builds. i would imagine that a good balanced group would have some that are better at "combat" than others and they would have rolls in the completion of this effort.

I do not condone or sanction compromising the server's balance to powerbuilds or super self-nerfs alike.

its really not hard to optimize a build plan that is RP based. my buddy plays an orc wizard focused on divination and has no trouble staying alive above his CR. and i really do not think he is a very good player.
