Has the Flaming Bastard been mentioned yet? Seems to have it all, but does require exotic prerequisite (+4 enhancement, 1d6 fire damage, on hit stun DC18 5% - 2 rounds)
Yep, that is a good one, though honestly dropping the 1d6 fire for the on hit Stun to be increased would be my preference. As I said in the OP, I will take those on hit effects over a little extra damage any day! Even so, if I was using a Bastard Sword that would likely be the one I wanted, unless I could find one that had on hit more often. At 5% it's only likely to fire off once per ~4 rounds and at DC18 most epic mobs are only going to fail on a 1, so basically it's only going to actually trigger 5% of 5%, so not very often. That is why 25-50% with a DC14 is often better than 10% with a DC20. Making the enemy save more often is usually better than having a higher DC, because the DC is almost never going to be high enough that the enemies will fail on a 2 or higher in epics. Still better than nothing and a pretty decent weapon, for sure!

Or M11/F12/WM7. Such a staff would be good defense since a stunned enemy can't take advantage of your low AC.

Found a rather interesting mace yesterday, with 50% stun for two rounds (DC14) - I could imagine some good uses for that one as well...

On a separate note, is it common for monsters to have immunities against effects at higher levels? Any effects which they are not immune to?
