That memorial card is really nice, athornforyourheart!

And all of your kind words are truly heart-warming, and it's good to see the community come together to honor someone we all knew. It's still rather surreal, and I catch myself thinking that maybe it's actually a mistake, a huge misunderstanding, and that he'll eventually pop online and wonder what we're all on about. And yet... you know. Not.

But perhaps we can all learn something from it, and cherish what we have, when we have it, even more.

I was and still am greatly saddened by the news of Xanfyrst passing away. He was kind and funny and I always liked talking to him. While we were not very close, he has been on my mind a lot since I learned of what happened.

When I left the server a few years ago, I left behind some people as well as I wanted to close this book and move on somehow, so I cut contact with some. He was one of them. It was something that bothered him a lot he later told me and after some messages back and forth and explaining my reasons we never really spoke again. I wasn't doing well and it was easier for me like that at that time and I thought that if I were to return some day, we could always pick up where we left off.

Sadly, life does not always work out like that and now there's only regrets. I hope he would forgive me. It is a lesson in mortality and not to take others for granted...

I will remember him fondly as a friend.

I just noticed this thread... and, holy. Ouch.

I never got to RP much with Xanfyrst, but when I did, he was a class act and an awesome dude.

My condolences to his family, both online and off.

Farewell Xan, you are a friggin' legend.
