Hi all,
Can someone explain to me about the true name summonings? I have some questions if someone who knows can answer.
So If I find a name in a dusty tome (which I found before but with no name in it), or somewhere else, I call this being and negotiate with it?
Do I need to negotiate and pass diplomacy and lore-planes checks to come to an agreement?
I have 9 Diplomacy and 17 Lore-planes right now. (No Buff) Do I need to increase these significantly?
do these cost gold to cast?
Are these really noticeably more powerful than regular planars? Do the conjuration focus bonuses apply?

-you cast Greater Planar Binding, Gate, or Epic Gate to a diamond, canary diamond, or blue diamond
-then you write the true name, name to the gem
-summon it
-discuss the payment(if you fail diplomacy check, the price goes up 150-300%)
-everytime you want to cast it, use the spell to the gem, and not to the ground

What kind of payment we we are talking about any range? And is it one off payment? What range of diplomacy required?

-payment range from 30k-150k(Greater Planar Binding) , 150-300k(Gate), and 300-650k(Epic Gate) one off payment
-diplomacy based on your difference of your alignment. if you are trying to summon the opposite alignment of your PC, the diplomacy check goes higher than same alignment. ranging from around 15++ to around 30++
