Word spreads that the Nashkel Trade Emporium has been sold. The rumors around Nashkel say the new owner is named Delphinn Veil.

Rumors spread about a robbery in the Nashkel's barracks that happened a few days ago.

The thieve had been seen leaving the town north, back in the flaming fist territory, leaving Nashkel. The man is said to be bald and wear a red scarf hiding his face features. He is quick and can hide in the shadows.

The Amnian guards offer 5000 gold pieces for the recovery of what was stolen, and for the capture of that thief who killed a guard during the thievery.

Word begins to quickly spread of the return of Mathias Kleesor, the leader of the Adventurer's Guild found in Nashkel. The old man is seen entering the building of the Adventurer's Guild where he quickly returns to work.

Other rumours begin to swirl throughout Nashkel and Amn. The guards seem to be the ones most nervous or angry about something.

Rumors start to spread around Nashkel that speak of mind flayers in the Nashkel Iron Mine, underdark slave traders, and a gathering duegar army. Rumors also say that a group of adventurers led by a man named Mealir and hired by the Nashkel Trade Emporium. It's said that of the slaves only one young girl survived. Although she is now in the care of the NTE's Delphinn Veil, the word on the street is that she was saved by none other than Captain Kalma Hellstorm.

"When I'll be older, I want to be just like the captain! A hero!"

Those are the words that the little girl can be heard saying in Nashkel, while in the care of the N.T.E owned by Delphinn Veil. The villagers don't seem to know how to react to this, some of them knowing the captain's history. A few songs at the Northern Lights Inn sang by random bards can be heard about that man whom, despite a dark look and history, would make a great father, for the ones interested.

Upon sighting the little girl, and overhearing her proclamations, Maximillian can't help but smile. While she's in the Northern Lights Inn the following afternoon, he has the barkeep prepare a tall mug of sweetened milk, and claims it before approaching.

"You're rather energetic this evening. Here, I've got something for you, little sparkle.."

He turns, resting the mug on the nearest table. His attention quickly fixates on the girl again, giving her two swift pats on the head.

"Why don't you tell me a bit more about the Captain, Mm? Is he tall? Is he bold? Is he.. a true hero?"

He listens, careful to appear attentive and responsive throughout. Almost child-like himself in his expressions. As they approach a lull in her exorbitant claims, he laughs.

"He sounds like quite the man, and it seems you owe him a favor. Do you imagine the Captain likes flowers, or perhaps.. ?"

He flashes in one palm a silver buckle, with a ship engraved on the face. His smile broadens. As she either reaches out to claim it, or displays great interest, he conceals it again.

"Now, now. Let's not get ahead of ourselves.. How about we trade for it, Mm? It will give you something to do with all that energy, aside from dancing about the Northern Lights all afternoon. Do you like rock candy, little sparkle?"

Without awaiting a response, he continues.

"I thought so. Who doesn't? The neighborhood children like it as well. Why don't you -- While you're playing Captain, play Merchant as well? Mister Delphinn is a merchant, you know. I think he would admire the commitment. It will make you seem so, very adult."

Between his thumb and forefinger he holds up a single, angular red piece of sweet rock candy. A moment after, he rests a satchel on the table with a small clatter.

"This one's for you! The rest are a copper. Sell them all, and I'll give you the buckle. Deal? You might even make a few friends in the process."

Maximillian awaits her response, with a charming smile.

Rumours spread around Nashkel that the little girl who was saved in the mines narrowly escaped a grim fate after this.
Only the presence of the other adventurers prevented Kalma to run off with the child to Roaringshore. What did he have in mind, no one knows but the captain is known for having sold men to slavers ... and worse.

Word quickly spreads that a man garbed in black encountered three Drow near Crystal Frost Keep. Apparently he managed to dispatch two of them, but the third, a stealthy archer, remains at large.

Two men have been found with their throats slit in an alley of Nashkel. Three more bodies have been found outside of the wall, seemingly killed by sword cuts. The men has been identified as bounty hunters, apparently running into their prey... an encounter that proved fatal for them. The identity of their prey is still unknown.

During his time in Nashkel, those that know Delphinn Veil can see him speaking frequently with the soldiers and guards of Nashkel. As people pass by, Delphinn seems to be asking questions about Amnian Law. Specifically, he seems to be asking about the victim of violent crimes being given possession of the offender as part of the restitution. He also asks about thefts, fines, and offenders requirements to be indentured servants. An indentured servant in Amn sounds very much like a slave elsewhere.

Word spreads around Nashkel that Delphinn Veil wishes to speak with the Mayor. Some rumors say it's about aid for the Ironfaar. Some say it's about the war, and some say it's about the iron mine.

A black-armored earth genasi was seen heading south, into Amn. The reasons for his travels were not clear.

Shortly afterwards, his dead body was found by Amnian travelers outside a lizardfolk cave. The corpse had been scorched and blasted, probably by spells. Around his neck was a holy symbol of Helm.

For those that know him, Dephinn Veil wanders from the Adventurers Guild to the Mayor of Nashkel. He seems to insistent on meeting with him.

Delphinn Veil can be seen walking the streets of Nashkel with apparent purpose. Rumor has it that the Nashkel Trade Emporium is preparing to resume operations again.
