* A letter returns!* “I’m not at liberty to offer such permission, least when it comes to the steets of gate. Though if you wish to perform with your bear friend at any events I host outside of Gate and I’ll consider you two!”

A halfling leaves a note in an easily found location inside the theater, it is addressed to "Isang".
The note reads:
Dear Isang, thank you for hosting Splatball the other day! Everyone had so much fun. I can't wait for the next game! If/when another game is scheduled please let me know when that might be. Also, if I can be of any help, for anything, please let me know, you can count on me.
Yours always, Lars!

Somehow, someway—a short message appears at the White Mask Theater, written neatly in pine-green ink and signed by Tramahsthas.
“I will be away for a few days, called to assist my traveling kin. I expect to return by the end of the week, with my thoughts still upon our work here until then.
Kind regards,
Tramahsthas Auvrea'elrvis”
((I’ll be away from tomorrow—Thursday—until next Sunday. I can’t promise I’ll be back in time for rehearsal, but I’m looking forward to catching up once I’m back.))

The Director's door stood stalwart as it e'er had. Against time, against fire, absent of light, devoid of dark, beholden to a film of dust and dirt.
An ashen palm pressed gentle against the wood, stood at the fore, touched upon by so many come before. Akin an old friend, reunited, the feathered brush thereon spoke well of the grain, of the tree that brought it to be, of the history imbued in every splinter. A subtle smile shaped the smokescape that served as the woman's countenance, some small reverence come with nostalgia. Risen digits find the fixed plaque and slide free the piece of metal, a name embossed, undocked from its claim.
Another plate ascends the space to take it's place, slid through the brass track and attached: Oona Siofra, Director.

Early in the morning, a courier arrives at the White Mask Theater carrying a satchel over his back. Upon arrival, the individual would hand something over to one of the employee's there and shortly after some words were shared, head back to their horse and ride away.

Elsewhere, the maiden at morn, warm abed as expected whence arrives the letter intended. Come noon, however, aught writ finds its way to ashen hands, the time dedicated to its read a short span, only. A courier's seen departing the premises by eve, parchment in grasp, destination undefined sans the tasked.
Meanwhile, preliminary outliers surround and suggest an upcoming event in the manifest of small flyers, sooner circulating the streets of Baldur's Gate. Though seemingly little more than simple strips of parchment, they boast the use of colorful dyes in their elegant artistry. Whilst details are presently scant, additional information is certain to follow with the turnabout of one tenday to the next.

The second day riots were marked by the defacing of the White Mask Theater, whereupon rotten fruits and questionable foul-smelling substances were tossed, in some cases by people otherwise regarded as well-off and privileged. On it's doors were crudely written harsh and hateful words pointed towards the tiefling nature of the theater's Director. Before the defacing took on a more physically violent note, the group was displaced by the City Watch and escorted out of the Upper City, though the moral damage was done.
ShadowFox13 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 26, 2025 2:52 pm
Later, Sister Carys would likely be seen speaking with the Watch, and organizing time to clean away and clear the damage to the White Mask Theatre, if she were allowed to do so.

When the work is done in the infirmary, he also offers his help in cleaning away the vulgarity and filth from the White Mask theater. He takes on the lion's share of this work, being of greater physical endurance than his counterpart, and he happily takes up her share when she needs a breather or a water break. The two work through most of the night and finish in the small hours of the next morning, getting only minimal sleep before starting their tasks of the following day.

The White Mask Theater now bore the wounds of the city's unrest. Rotten fruit and filth clung to the stone steps, hateful words scrawled in crude lettering marred the doors, and the lingering scent of last night’s fury still tainted the air.
And in the midst of it, Maevyn stood alone with a near silent huff of her own frustration. She got to work.
With a bucket of water, a cloth, and quiet resolve, she scrubbed away the marks of hatred. She wiped away the slurs, picked up the shattered glass, swept away the refuse. When the last stain was gone, when the theater stood clean again, she lingered, dusky gaze tracing across each and every passerby.
She stepped to the front of the steps, pulled her violin from its case, and let the first notes of her song drift into the quiet morning. A gentle song greeted the onlookers as they went about their groggy morning.
The Theater's Director, however, is nowhere to be seen and any opinions regarding recent events, or offered aid, remain obscured.

Toward the evening, a plain-faced courier of middle age enters the White Mask Theater and bequeaths upon its Custodian a crumpled missive.

The day following, Sister Carys finds her way to the Theatre - perhaps answering some sort of summons? But what could the Theatre need with a priestess? She'd meet with the Custodian for some time, before leaving just after noon.

Sister Carys was seen leading a new arrival to the city to the Theatre, ducking out of the rain. The new artist, Ni Habati ((Hyjroku)), expressed an interested in the artist and perfomer's guild, so Carys makes a point to pass this on to Custodian Karl, with him hopefully able to get in touch with the more formal members.
This required some writing back and forth, as the Sister appeared to have taken a vow of silence, but eventually, both seemed able to communicate via short notes.

Sister Carys, red ribbons bound around her mouth in symbol of her silence, arrives again to the White Mask Theatre, to pin a careful notice upon the bulletin boards backstage and upon the public notices where those of the Theatre are most apt to see it.

Why? How? When?
Ah... those are questions only the sharpest senses might catch, and if not? Well, who cares? But hopefully, someone does.
Either way, a parchment letter finds its way to the White Mask Theatre. Maybe it’s placed directly on the stage, visible to all who pass by. Or perhaps it’s found somewhere else, easy to reach and waiting to be noticed. For those who pay attention... a faint trace of fey-ish whispers and laughter seem to cling to it, as if the wind itself carried it there.
And for everyone else?
A letter, written in stark white inked, elusively elegant letters, waiting to be read.
To the Esteemed Heads of the White Mask Theater,
To Lords and Ladys, Theydies and Gentlethems,
In the quiet of sounds,
I write with a gift untold,
Not of richness, but of humbleness,
Of something more subtle,
A presence that wishes to be heard.
I seek a meeting with you,
To offer my will and intentions,
For I am but the offering,
A voice to add to your vision.
Should you see fit,
I would be honored to step forth
Into your halls,
Where words and silence both find meaning.
With reverence the sylphes whisper,
A friend of the Arts
As the final words are read, a soft glow emerges beneath the ink. Small, intricate symbols weave beneath the letters, delicate yet purposeful, guiding the eye to the edges of the parchment. There, etched into the paper’s edge, a reference to the coming full moon is visible, the date circled in an almost hidden way...
a subtle marker for when the next steps may unfold? The moment of meeting int the Theatre? It is not hard to combine, the hint at the time of gathering, an omen, perhaps, or a calling that waits to be answered.
