*Uriel slowly goes through the reports filtering in from his office, finally arriving back at the Keep. He composes a message to all the Knights and Squires.*
Well done Lady Angelina and Sir Cyrus. You have done the Order proud in your defense of the Inn and surrounding areas. We will hold a memorial service to properly honor and grieve for our fallen brothers and sisters. Well done again.

An excerpt from Aaron Lyonaler's journal
“A squire’s life is one of servitude, training, and study. The aspiring knight learns that these things are only the beginning and do not end with advancement from squire to knight. The lifestyle of a true knight is one of sacrifice, compassion, duty, and honor. If one cannot subject themselves to these during their squire hood, they cannot truly become a knight. True service: giving of oneself without expectation of reward or praise, is a challenge for many, as greed and pride can and has tainted many great men and women. A knight cannot allow room for these traits in their hearts, least it consume them.”
The sky was awash in light, as the noon sun slowly began its decent towards the west, as Aaron marched north along the Trade Way. Along the road an elven woman stood waiting several miles south of Baldur’s Gate, her armor bore the insignia of the Order of the Silver Rose. Aaron greeted the woman with a smile, bowing his head. The elven warrior returned the gesture and raised he hand to halt his progression. She bore a message from Lady Tara to aid a farmer outside the walls of Baldur’s Gate. After exchanging a few pleasantries, and refusing payment, the elven warrior departed south.
Within an hour of walking, Aaron was able to see the tall stalks of corn that grew on farmer Todd’s lands, the heads of scarecrows were the only things visible above the corn. Todd seemed a bit strained as he moved about his barn, shoveling manure and herding animals. Approaching Todd, Aaron asked if there was any way he could be of assistance. After wiping sweat from his brow he replied, “Well, me and me family can take care of the normal chores just fine. But, there are a couple odds and ends ye could help with, if ye like?”
After acknowledging that he would be happy to be of service, Todd directed him to the scarecrows in the field. The once full scarecrows now sat limp and half empty of straw. Hefting the bale of hay given to him by Todd, Aaron made his way to each scarecrow, stuffing each with fresh hay, and adjusting the clothing to make them appear more human-like then they had. His work completed, Aaron dusted off his hands and returned to the barn to inform Todd. Poking his head around the corner of the barn to see the work done, he nodded to Aaron with a smile.
“Here take these. I know it ain’t much, but I’d like t’pay ye for your work.” Todd said as he offered over a small gold purse. Shaking his head to refuse the payment Aaron replied. “Mister Todd, I did not help expecting payment. Keep the money for your family and repairs to your farm after the black orc attack recently. I was among those trying to hold the black orcs back, I saw the devastation to your and others farms.” With a smile Todd extended his hand, which Aaron took and shook.
Returning to his room in Baldur’s Gate, Aaron couldn’t help but smile. A letter was penned to Lady Tara to inform her that the task was completed and a runner paid to deliver the message.

Squires, we all thank you for your vigilance in your current assignment. While you are there, I have a task for you to aid the peoples of Baldur's Gate.
Squire Ellene and Squire Ner'lol - Your task is to gather food and medical supplies and head into the sewers. Seek out the homeless located there and give them aid.
Squire Gabriel and Squire Noah - Parts of the sewers are being over-run with rats. Your task is to find these infestations and thin them out. We do not want these plague bearing vermin to spread disease to those who find themselves in poverty.
Squire Missy and Squire Aaron - Your task is to patrol the sewers and seek out any who would cause harm to the homeless within the area. I have heard reports of bandits who may cause trouble for them. Please patrol and see to their safety.
Please communicate with each other and work together to achieve your tasks. If you have any questions or concerns please seek out a Knight immediately.

A young cleric of Lathander has been seen recently heading into the sewers of the city, offering food, blankets, clothing and healing to the homeless that now live there. For the First few days he makes small talk with them, tending would and examining them from head to toe to make sure they are in as good as health as possible, healing what and where he can.
He tries to learn who they are, where they come from in an effort to befriend them before moving on to more ominous questions leaning towards if there number has been dwindling, if anyone has had any mysterious illnesses that they recovered from later, anyone disappeared for a time only to show up again with an odd explanation of where they had been ,or no explanation at all.
Noah works on an assumption that the dead or dying may not be killed right away, but keep alive for many days.
Noah continues to work his healing and kindness among the poor, homeless, and the dregs of the city, doing his best to find out what he can. Many people in large cities tend to look through or around the homeless, and they forget they can see and hear as well as anyone.

Well done Squire Noah. Squire Ellene please join in the extermination of the rats. Squire Noah, I would still like you to aid the other squires in fulfilling their task with the rat extermination. Squire Ner'lol please join Squire Missy and Squire Aaron in patrolling the sewers for threats.

Noah reads the updated orders sends an acknowledgement to Sir Uriel, and sets out to find his fellow squires to go rat hunting......

*Squire Ellene heads into the sewers with Jughog and Plissken. As they are down there Ellene resupplies the Homeless and then with the Help of the others they destroy several of the rats nests. They then find the Headquarters of the Thieves down there and destroy it to prevent the homeless being harassed by them*

After talking with Lady E, Squire Missy heads to the docks area. She will surveil the area via the shadows looking for anything suspicious. She will stay in urchin rags appearing as a homeless hin when not in the shadows.

A small package is hand-delivered by a tall, silver-haired, woman of inordinate beauty to the order's headquarters. When unwrapped, a small, smooth, box that is very cold to the touch is revealed. In it can be found a delicate, crystalline, rose with a brilliant silver-blue hue. If removed from the box the exquisitely sculpted flower is revealed to be made of ice and in time begins to melt. However, if replaced within its magical case, the flower is restored and once again reflects light in a resplendent silvery blue burst.

Upon returning to the Keep, Knight General Seth Siger is given a small box by the guards. Seth asks who had given this box to them, in curiousity, the guards describe an attractive woman but was given no name.
He opens the box to reveal a delicate lookin small rose , silver with a blue hue to it. He reaches into the box to take it out and examine it, but pricks his finger with one of its icy cold thorns. Upon doin so he leaves the flower of ice within the box and closes it.
Seth then takes the box to the holding cell within the keep, sets it upon the bench in the cell knowin it would be safe there, as the cell is magically warded against majiks. He then sends word to Commander Elvina and Sir Cyrus of the curiousity and locks the cell door.

Upon receiving word, Cyrus seeks out Sir Seth and asks for a detailed report on exactly what occurred from the time the rose was discovered till it was placed in the cell. Asking that nothing be left out, no matter now minor it might seem.
Upon discovering Sir Seth had pricked his finger Cyrus directs him to the Infirmary at once, without argument, and sends runners with letters to Sir Zullo and Guild Wendel at CandleKeep asking them to come and inspect the item.
Once that is complete, Cyrus places extra wards on the cell area, and the doors as well as making sure the wards against scrying and teleporting are still in place.
Cyrus sends a note to Elvina letting her know what has transpired.

After examining the item in the holding cell, Svala considers its signifigance.
"It certainly seems to be of considerable craftsmanship, cleverly fusing natural and magical aspects. Both a gift and perhaps a message of some sort...what could it mean?"
