One of these days, I'll be a real artist like Angevere. Freaking stunning, as always.

We've thanked you in private Angevere but a public thank-you is deserved as well! It has been amazing to see this come to life from a sketch, to see the work in progress to the final piece which captures the moment. It isn't a happy scene but one which carries much significance to our characters. The background is meant to be Triel, which also carries much significance to the characters as they were once on opposite sides trying to "save" the village.
With Telia still being a Zhentarim witch and Ameris a bloody Harper-priest.
The red cord is an Ilmateri one, symbolising a promise given but one which Telia never believed in - yet it ended up being true.

Thanks everyone
@BattleBee47
I started with traditional stuff like pencils, pen, ink, coal, watercolors, gouache and all that.
I first tried digital when I bought my first ever tablet in around 2010-2011, and it's been the greatest investment as I could now work with color, but without opening endless bottles of paint
I use Photoshop, but I tried programs like Paint tool SAI and Corel Painter. They were fun too but I felt too used to photoshop to properly ever switch from it.
I use a variety of methods to go from start to finish, but more often than not I have a rough sketch, then decide on values and light (also roughly) then bash color on top and begin the process of refining everything. But honestly, it really varies from artwork to artwork.

I was fortunate enough to see some of the WIPs for this piece, and the finished version simply stuns.
It's beyond beautiful, Angevere.
