Are there going to be any new Deities with Exotic Favored Weapons and the War domain?

War domain only gives Martial Weapon proficiency and Weapon Focus if the god's favored weapon is a martial one.

There are no War domain deities with exotic weapons.

There are no War domain deities that also have Water domain. The closest is Valkur, but he has Ocean, not Water.

Helm has War Domain, and his favored weapon is the Bastard Sword, thus when taking the War Domain, the PC also is granted Exotic Weapon Proficiency.

So, any "new" Deity with Bastard/Katana/Kama/Shuriken AND War Domain in their Portfolio, would also by Engine Default get the Exotic Weapon Prof.

Anyway, none of the new ones have Exotic weapons.

Now that we're getting an expanded domain list, we can start considering limiting deities to their canonical domains.

all the previous domains already follow strict rules, we need to check one by one these newly added domains.

Which ones receive domains outside of canon? It sounds like Torm for one. I see Torm has war in 5e. EDIT: reading comprehension

Helm has War as a minor Sphere of Influence in 2e. And I'll go further to assume another person like me was thinking of a Character that could be a Holy Warrior using a Bastard or Katana, and just how lovely it would be from a builder perspective to get Exotic Weapon Proficiency for free.

She is not. The Reckoning happened a long time ago and Bel is in the gist of things. He was still the ruler of Avernus in 1347 DR, as per the Cloak and Dagger sourcebook.

The lore is so contradictory on these things. Some sources say Zariel only even became a devil in 1354, and was immediately put in charge of Avernus, and that the Reckoning happens later.

The lore I found says: Tiamat was ruler of Avernus until 1346 when she became a demigod. Then Zariel became a devil in 1354, and Asmodeus put her in charge of Avernus until Bel betrayed her, and Bel was Lord of the First by 1372. Some things I'm reading on the Candlekeep forums place the Reckoning at 1370 DR.

You're sure it should be Bel right now?
