Sons of the Second Dawn Mercenary Company seems to be operating within Amnian borders of late. What their task is, few can tell, keeping to themselves and resting in distant camps within the wildlands as they do. Even the inkeeper of Beregost where they sometimes visit seems at a lost to their current task at hand.

Members of the Whitewood Vanguard were seen, amongst a small group of travellers, taking custody of someone rumored to be a drow on the roadside. There is a wide stretch of road between Beregost and Nashkel, and the law of the road is often what one makes of it.
Talk varied between escorting the Drow to the Gate, or just removing it from the area as to not cause anyone harm. None in the crowd trusted the dusky skinned elf, and there were threats of violence at the first sign of trouble. Magic took the group elsewhere.

A warmly dressed easterner can be seen departing the cloudpeak outfitters within Nashkel leading a tailor towards the stables. Spending a few hours tending to a small roster of horses having each sized and fitted with cold weather blankets dyed in muted grays and whites to match the snowy foothills of the cloudpeaks.
Intructions are given to the stable master to ensure each horse fed as much quality hay as they will eat along with the provision of feed bags for each mount.

On a blustery, snow-ridden Nashkel day, a towering, ancient orcblood makes some inquiring rounds of the local businesses, apparently in search of some "hired help."
Should any of the subtle Cant gestures he offers be noticed with replies of their own, he elaborates in a shady fashion that he represents "Interested Parties" looking for "Corvée Hands" - Unfree, unpaid labor better known as Slaves.
He would go on to emphasize his own personal role in promoting "good business" by helping to preserve a main artery of the Amnian trade route through the Cloud Peaks and, perhaps, may show off a particular Mask as evidence of his mutual intentions.

"Preperations"
"A dwarf was seen at various stores buying supplies. He was seen buying a tent, a collapsing stove, bed roll and blanket, Winter coat and hood, a shovel and a sled to have it all pulled on. He was also seen by the common gathering fire in Nashkel digging out many apple pies from their baking containers and being shoved into enameled clay pots with some extra sugars after being heated once again, in an attempt to preserve. This is all put into storage in Nashkel where he has paid a man to store it, his legs too weak to carry it with him. A flip of a coin to rent a room where he lies down and cracks open a fresh bottle of rum after a hard days work. In-between head nods and looking out the window he finally decides to give in and lays his head on the pillow at high sun"

Following his wedding night, Aurelien Amon was seen in the region as well, gathering supplies meant for a long time out in the cold. A tent, thick furred cloak and blanket, a sustaining spoon, extra thick gambeson, including bits for his head, as well as regular padded clothing, all stored in a large backpack, the man didn't seem to struggle much with the additional weight as he filled it with gear that would allow him to survive the biting cold.

[...]

Suddenly a man appears near Nashkel, obsidian-colored armor and some whitish/light blue colored flames seem to come out of his hands and sometimes from inside of his armor.
The snow that falls softly on him does not seem to have time to rest, immediately becoming steam.
Slowly the figure walks along the road towards the Cloud Peaks, letting the fog and cold cover his trace.

A Snowy Tenday
Darkened clouds are seen from miles all around the Cloud Peaks, heavy snowfall coming soon after. Settlements and cities close to the mountain range hunker down as visibility falls and the world outside their homes becomes too much to bear. Trade is at a minimum, and even the hostile creatures of the mountains seem to be seeking refuge in their own caverns and shelters.
Almost all city activity comes to a halt as the people await the snowstorm, hoping it doesn’t last long enough to expend their resources. Those attuned with nature sense not wrath, but stillness, the mountains cleansing themselves as winter comes strong. A moment of respite, cold and forced, but respite nonetheless.

The two archers happened upon a crime scene in Nashkel. Someone had stolen a bench from out front of the Belching Dragon. They looked high and low, yet found not a trace of the culprit. Who would do such a dastardly deed to the fair loiterers of Nashkel's campfire!? It left one of them scratching their head trying to figure it out. The two hunters boiled it down to two theories.
- Firewood is getting scarce, and the dried wood of the bench was too much temptation for one citizen to bear...
- Or a group of the local teens were off using it as some form of sled or toboggan.
Either way it left the full blooded elf mourning the loss of his bench. Regardless of the wet bum, he sat defiantly in the old bench's spot.

For the better part of an candlemark a diminuitive elf gave instruction to metallic humanoid like construct, precise, organized, and well structured to handle snow clearing and firewood gathering operation. To oversee the results the elf sat upon the shoulder of the construct as it whirrled to life, disregarded all instruction, and sent both into the closest river at haste.

A Halfling lingers around Nashkel, impatient and irritated. He goes in and out of the Belching Dragon, asking questions about a wealthy buyer of goods. He canvasses a few citizens on the street, if they had seen a rather wealthy looking individual in the last days, arriving to Nashkel, then departing with a cart full of wares recently sold by the Half-elf Traegan Daershun.
"That...mercenary, yeah, yee know the type...he ain't naming names, but this Pawfoot has a scent..." says Panlos Pawfoot, the Hin with intention to find this buyer. "Gone and purchased a fine gauntlet, he has...and I be wishing to talk with him. You know him? You seen someone carting off some wares this day?" Panlos queries whomever he can get attention from. "The name is Panlos Pawfoot. That is P-A-N-L-0-S P-A-W-F-O-O-T..." spells out the Hin, just putting his tiny body into whatever couple, group or even does he speak at the guards of Nashkel, should they give him mind.
On another note, tis rumored that evening in Nashkel that a large dog was seen running frantically through the village, sniffing and running, sniffing and running, from near the Belching Dragon campfire and up and down the roadways....
If you are the player of said item, and you wish to talk with my toon IC, please get in touch. Cheers.

As the sun bathed the landscape on the borders of Amn, a half-elf archer could be seen whispering a few prayers over a rock cairn. He says his peace and remains in silence for a few lingering moments before taking to the trail back towards Nashkel...

In the early hours of the morning, a man of the Far East can be seen departing Nashkel towards the nearby hills. A heavily burdened packhorse following in the Eastern paladin's tracks.
Those magically inclined might sense an increased flow of positive energy within the foothills and note the brief presence of a planar gateway of a brilliant gold colour for a little over a minute

A half-elf wearing the badge of The Whitewood Vanguard might be seen leaving the southern gate in Nashkel in the coming days. He would converse with the gate guards briefly before leaving, sharing stories of what he'd seen the previous patrol. Trekking out through the foothills, the archer would make his way up the winding paths into the mountain pass of the Cloud Peaks.
If seen in the pass, most likely he would be felling a yeti or kneeling, looking for signs in the frozen environment. He would pass much of the time in a perch, above the frozen valley below. Just watching.

A small female figure makes its way to the the southern gate in Nashkel and slips through the gate into the darkness of the night. Cloaked in magic she makes her way up the mountain and past the lurking monsters. Unseen to the naked eye though she may be, she surely leaves a trail behind her. Once up in the snowy mountains, a rather visible trail of footsteps seem to move from area to the next. It appears as if the wanderer searched around in certain spots then stood longer in one spot before moving on.
She did indeed pause on specific spots and stood there a while with the moon shedding light upon her and the task at hand. Her hands joined together as she blessed the land, consecrating the ground beneath her. She moved where the undead had roamed the previous night and tried to cover as much land as she could with her blessings. Eventually the trail of footprints turned back towards Nashkel.
