Amidst the comings and goings of double doors, unmoored but approachable, scores to surround occasional presence, rumor is sooner turned fact with public declaration: the White Mask Theater openly extends its reach in the seek of witnesses, participants, and personal accounts pertaining the ascent and inevitable fall of the half-celestial, Castus the Zealous.

To delve into so tragic a tale is to pen magic - classic a tale, trailed and traversed as they have been; the roads of creativity. Might that they find rise from that place and be commit to memory in the wake of all faced, assistance may take the form of personal anecdotes, written reports, in-person interviews, or delivered information to the theater's doors. Any insight into the major events of the period may assist penmanship.

Hidden: show
(( OOC: Intention at last revealed! This is a long-term personal project born of the desire to create an original musical based on the events of Amn's inquisition, Tyrelius, and the fall/redemption of Castus as per DM Mimic's event series. Having only been present at the tail end, however, the majority of details are unknown both to myself and to Oona. If your character played a major part in the narrative or observed these events as they progressed, any IC/OOC insight would be greatly appreciated. Please note: that this is intended be a fictitious/condensed retelling with creative liberties. Portrayal accuracy is not guaranteed. ))

In the aftermath of destruction visit upon the district, a quiet word is shared with the theater's custodian, Karl, granting permissions unto any of House Vale's displaced number seeking refuge. Liberties are given to come and depart as they please and, should any take up the offer, those visiting are afford the same provisions as any performer: a bed for wearied heads, a trunk for aught kept, sustenance in food and drink, a chamber to bathe, and clothing to clad. Humble comforts, these, when compared to the majesty of former estate, yet no limit is placed upon the length of stay.

Mayhap some are come, or perhaps none at all; the doors remain open all the same.

Earlier portioned that day, a quiet rendition of Wind by the Fireside is performed unto an empty audience, lights low, lone the performer atop the stage; or so perceived by any therein or passing. Gossamer clad, otherworldly featured and gracefully ethereal, the maiden's melody drift from solitary spotlight to all reaching corner and crevice of artful auditorium. Tinged with melancholy, heartful and hopeful, home and haven, the recital is one caught in conflicting clash of despondent and defiant.

Several hours later, a small plaque is affixed wall in memoriam and below: three masks carved to mimic particular expressions in recollection, alongside a gemstone, shade ruby red, and suit to solemn oath. Stood a'fore, less whimsical than the hours before, aught of the maiden's countenance promises penance.

Any with backstage access find the following dedication, finished with a particular passage of earlier lyric:
Miriam Armstrong

Too soon taken;
a star extinguished.
"You are not forsaken.
You are not forgotten.
"

Marpenoth, 1361 DR
Over the next tenday, a curious increase in haunting rumors circulate the city; though far from the first or the last of claims made relate to ghostly apparitions within the theater. Patrons and performers are offered reassurance, though little is publicly offered by way of explanation or confirmation. Any press is good press, when you're the talk of the town; a required return to form for dwindled number.

A large man with green hair and a red flower on his head was seen entering the White Mask. Upon an inquiry of the director's status, and being informed she was in a meeting, the man climbed onto the stage and looked out to the empty room, reminiscent of someone imagining a crowd. A few heartbeats later, a lute was produced, upon which was played a fun song as the man sang to a nearly empty room.

Satisfied with his performance for no one, the man smiled, and put his lute away. Director still occupied, the man makes his way out the front of the building, telling Karl to let the director know that he would be back another time.

And the wolf that shall keep it may prosper, but the wolf that shall break it must die."

What chilling mist might have been witnessed to subtly seep through crevice and crack is dissipate with the wildling's eventual emergence. Resurgence observed by aught preserved and persevered, all stirred within that place seems be in active preparation for an upcoming endeavor.

Unrelate, of the left message: a Sending soon follows to bestow the apology owed of an earlier unavailability.
