Hey guys, I have an issue RP'ing my character. Problem is I often find myself at a lack of RP due to the type of character I play. I feel like other people probably perceive me as a zerging newb who does not understand RP, really my character just has nothing he wants to say. So how do you think I could interact more and have RP relationships with other players with out changing the concepts behind my character?
I play Brock, a neutral fighter with no prestige class plans just picking feats i find most useful on the spot. Brock is an earth genasai with a wisdom & charisma of 6.
I Try to portray the gruesome, grim, quiet, solitary and socially awkward type for the CHA.
Making poor choices and being completely oblivious of most situations for WIS.
Brock is a mercenary who worships Tempus, he loves battle and that is how he makes his living. Rarely does Brock speak, he communicates through body language. The only thing I've thought of for his history is that his mother died giving birth and he grew up on a farm with his father who was not the greatest role model before he started getting in fights with locals and took off on his own.

Just because your character does not speak, it does not mean that you as a player shouldn't chat either. Try to express your character in emotes, what he lacks in words he makes up for in actions. If you've ever RPed with Karl or the thayans [Dimitri, Imperax etc.], you'll most likely remember them rarely talking, but emoting a lot.
Emote how you fight, emote how awkwardly your character stares at people in silence. Emote your stance. Emote emote emote!
I personally have a slight dislike towards people putting IC pauses into OOC pauses, during conversations. I would rather take it as an emote : *He does not reply for some time*, instead of just waiting silently. Why? Because I have no idea if the fellow is AFK or RPing being silent. Emotes make the world go round.

That. Awkward moments when you think the other player went AFK and it turns out they didn't...
I find it strange to RP with silent characters. Its just like in real life, you get the feeling of that you're the only one bringing the conversation forward. Emotes, like Hoihe mentions, helps A LOT. Even conversation fillers with no real substance shows that you're actually there and following what's happening around you. For example, my character Valge will say 'uh huh', 'ehh', 'ah', 'Mm..' when she doesn't have anything worth saying. Telia will often fix her hair or smooth imaginary wrinkles on her clothes.
Even if your charisma is very low you don't have to be entirely bland. Perhaps there is that one topic that your character does actively talk about, could be Tempus or battle or something unexpected. If you happen to be amongst people who converse, try to still show interest in what's being said - you don't have to say anything yourself.
*looks up from the ground and listens attentively to what Bob says*
*frowns and shakes his head at what Bob says*
*glances at the woman in rich attire and then looks awkwardly down at his feet*
Pay attention to other people's descriptions. Do they have a holy symbol or some notable piece of equipment? Use it as a filler in conversation instead of writing nothing.
*listens to Bob while eyeing his symbol of Tyr*
*suddenly takes an obvious interest in Bob's daggers*

Especially if someone is trying to emphasise something in their description, like the racial origins of equipment!
The descriptions if done well can give one topics to talk about. It can even lead to conflict that would otherwise have been looked over. (guy's covered in magic scars, for example, and has bloody stains all over his sleeve.)

Be super rude, reckless, let your fists talk first and plan your fights ?

"Intelligence is knowing that a Tomatoe is a Fruit, Wisdom is knowing not to put it in a fruit salad."
So for that you can RP being say "book smart" but not very "common sence" smart.
As for Low Charisma, You can do it the easy way as in your character is not very good looking, has a foul odor, has a very off-putting personality or some other characteristic that makes you not so likeable. Depending how low it is of course you could just be another "average Joe". There was a thread on here once that had the numbers that were concidered Low, average and High for each stat.

I'm playing a Lawful Evil Loviatar follower who is a monk from Calimport and I'm not sure if he should be bothered by warlocks or not or how he should react to them. So far I've just kind of been annoyed by them because of their chaotic nature.

Thanks for the input. I will try to stick to this on my other Character that I just rolled.

How about *emotes his dump stats so as to not appear a min-maxed build*?
( just kidding of course, I have dump stat characters of my own

)

Can I get any tips/critiques for Ivan if you've met him? I feel like he's kind of bland.
Or any tips/critiques for my overall RPing.
Thank you.

Ok you asked so... yes, I do feel he's kind of bland too. I see him often around the FAI but I've never interacted with him (or had a reason to). Perhaps standing aside and just looking at passerbys' is his thing. Don't take it the wrong way, as said, I haven't interacted with him and I don't really know what his RP is. I only know he's one of those weird druids who stalk close to civilization yet rarely talk to anyone (of what I know of)
@ Chexss - I enjoyed the RP I had with your druid. I think you're doing well with her RP.
