Reports spread north into Baldur's Gate about a moderate horde of humanoids of all types that attacked the Trade Way with great ferocity not a tenday past... the bodies were found to be emaciated and sickly looking. Boils, ulcers, and bruising covered the majority of them.
It is whispered that even a small dragon was amongst the horde, though it is being dismissed as mere embellishment on most accounts.
Who or what was behind the horde, or what caused them to reach their sickened state.. is still a question up for answering. The barfly's, sages, and tongue-wagglers each seem to have their own 'true account' of the cause...

Over the last few days fishermen are reporting the daily catch has diminished. Some tell bar tales of a large swirl on the water close to their ship. One old and salty captain reports talking to a "Sea Creature" that asked him in Elven where he might find Istari Tower.... His ramblings are dismissed as a "Drunken sea tale from an old and tired Captain".

A templar is seen leaving the temple of Tyr in haste. The knights enter some shops to equip himself and then head out the gate riding his gray stallion.

It is heard that some sort of stone angel has escaped the Istar tower. Citizens are urged to take extreme caution if seen. It also is reported that it devours magic, so no magic is to be used on it. Do not engage, if spotted report at once to the Fist or Weavemasters

Aearion tells the tale of multiple sightings of necromancy, possibly the same individual, starting in Nashkel, spreading to Beregost, and then to the Sharp Teeth. Although he's never witnessed these attacks, the reports he's heard include shapeshifting into a Nightshade, summoning a Vampire, and commanding a legion of undead. He has personally witnessed the Lathadarite guard on full alert in Beregost along with mutltiple civilian casualities following a reported attack.

It is said by many that there is a kind gnomish person looking to procure glass bottles and unenchanted bone wands, and that he will pay for their delivery. A poster, offering some proof to this rumor, hangs within the Elf Song Tavern.

A crazed looking man in chainmail and dragging the body of another man, apparently stabbed over twenty times was today himself executed for murder on the Wyrm's Crossing after he tried to claim the bounty on "The Taddler". After a cursory investigation of his story the Sergeant of Arms responsable determined he was a "chancer" and executed him to send a warning to others. This scene was repeated a couple of times over the last week and the Fist are begining to get rather tired of this.
Thus far, the bounty remains unclaimed.

A frail, wrinkled old man can be seen limping across town with his walking stick, mumbling and ranting on about the undead in the graveyard and trying to turn tieflings.

Rumours abound that the Wretched Hymn and their masked leader are even harder to contact than usual, and there is some speculation in the shadows as to the survival of the group.
In an apparently unrelated matter, the wyverns just south of Gullykin seem particularly well-fed today.

A tall figure has been making a ruckus about the elves in local bars of Baldur's gate, not leaving his somewhat racist comments about elves to himself.
After hearing of an attack against one of the elves, near Nashkel, he apparently said the persons behind them should be rewarded, and that he would have no quarrel with fine people like that, some say he even went to the extreme of hoping to find these persons, so he could join them himself!

Rumours begin to circulate about some kind of confrontation between a dark haired man and a Flaming Fist Officer. The Guards attempt to quash anything overtly malcious or mischevious but the word on the street is that the knight Kaden Asen has been expelled form the city.

A few travelers spread word of the great party that took place at the Istari Tower the past day in relation to the wedding of two certain half-elves. Gossip from those that were present speak of the presence of exotic dragon meat for the dinner. Other talk of note is mention of a song that made out the groom to be a hero and the richest man on the Coast, if there is such a thing. Also, of more unfortunate note, was a mention of a certain gnome that interrupted the party.
Some commonfolk among Baldur's Gate treat the gossip as fascinating, wondering what dragon steak tastes like and the great festivities. Others on the other hand couldn't care less as they grumble about adventurers once again causing a ruckus partying lavishly late in the night.
