Champions of Valor does not have the Order of the Radiant Heart listed. It has every other Order listed though.

Its likely been disbanded for some reason come 3rd edition, so sticking with Second Edition lore seems ok(since its more current with the server timeline).

Thanks. Do you know if existence of their chapter in Athkatla was ever considered a canon? Volo's guide to BG2 says that all temples in Temple District (where Radiant Heart HQ was in BG2:SoA) are practically destroyed.

Baldur's gate is considered canon because they wrote novels about the events.

Leo wrote:Hi. I would like to ask what is the server lore on the Order of the Radiant Heart. The only official mention of it that I found was in Complete Paladin Handbook (2nd Edition). Is there more accurate, 3rd Edition guide with information about it? Was the existence of Order's chapter in Baldur's Gate lore-accurate? And is there really a chapter of it in Athkatla or was it just included in game? (I haven't found any mention of the order in Volo's Guide to Baldur's Gate II.) If it was just in SoA, what is server's lore position on this?
Not to doubt you but the only paladin orders I see mentioned in the Complete Paladin are:

Most Noble Order of the Radiant Heart
Radiant Heart Auxiliary
Ancient and Revered Order of the Thorn
Distinguished Order of the Crystal Dawn
Righteous Order of the Iron Dragon
Order of the Divine Hand

Also, it was my understanding that the Order of the Silver Rose is not canon lore from any source books but actually a player guild that migrated from the nwn2 server called Forgotten Realms. There is one article that mentions the order but it seemed like the order was actually created by the author for a campaign he was DMing though I could be mistaken. Relevant links that might help you:
http://www.lenholgate.com/blog/1992/02/ ... -rose.html
http://sotl.freeforums.org/
Perhaps ask these two if they can help since they are the ones that brought the order to this server:
LISA100595
gfya1369
I completely misread the question and thought Leo was asking about the order of the Silver Rose... my apologies. I will see what I can dig up about the Order of the Radiant Heart within later editions.

Meteor Swarm

Meteor Swarm, my newest favourite spell!

I was wondering, does it summon real flaming rocks (it does bludgeoning damage), or just massive fireballs (Think i saw something brown in the animation)?

Also... it's effects : Do the meteors disappear once they impact, or remain in place (and can be used to RP with... like anyone need a boulder?)... do they create smoking craters?

And in a siege... what are their effects? (This one because I used it to storm the Orog fort by the Iron Mine... It looked as if catapults were firing at the walls).

Meteor swarm is a very powerful and spectacular spell that is similar to fireball in many aspects. When you cast it, four 2-foot-diameter spheres spring from your outstretched hand and streak in straight lines to the spots you select. The meteor spheres leave a fiery trail of sparks.

If you aim a sphere at a specific creature, you may make a ranged touch attack to strike the target with the meteor. Any creature struck by one of these spheres takes 2d6 points of bludgeoning damage (no save) and receives no saving throw against the sphere’s fire damage (see below). If a targeted sphere misses its target, it simply explodes at the nearest corner of the target’s space. You may aim more than one meteor at the same target.

Once a sphere reaches its destination, it explodes in a 40-foot-radius spread, dealing 6d6 points of fire damage to each creature in the area. If a creature is within the area of more than one sphere, it must save separately against each. (Fire resistance applies to each sphere’s damage individually.)
This is just my interpretation but it sounds like your creating very powerful fireballs, just like the fireball spell. The force of impact would cause bludgeoning damage. Its not conjuration so i dont feel like it would summon rocks.

So much for using it to get some barricade in a DM event! Thanks anyways.

It is perfectly suitable for destroying a barricade in most cases.

Charraj has used it to plug a cave entrance with rubble before. The DM running the event did not say that a big meteor fell from the sky and plugged the cave entrance; the DM just had the cave entrance covered up by rubble.

I am not sure about that. From some experience, I can say that maybe it simply was not reintroduced. Champions of Valor does not cover all organizations. They probably chose most remarkable. There should be confirmation before calling them disbanded.

Are the caster players playing in Nashkell, Nashkell iron mines, Beregost, Xvart Village, South of Beregost/Ulcaster Ruins, Nashkell foothills, Cloudpeaks pass, Cloudpeaks Descent, Speartop Peak, Frost Giant Fortress, Lizardfolk cave, Lake Weng and Vault of the Dead considered outlaws in amn, or the Cowled Wizards don't care about the Cloudpeaks and the adventuring areas?

Was merely wondering if all the spellcasting in amn territory is againts the laws, or areas are exempt?

I remember asking DM_Xzar about it IG, but I was lagging bad and I don't really remember the answer.

Hello, I have a Druid question here. Are we allowed to RP shifting into shapes beyond the ones allowed to us in game? Like for instance could we shift into a deer, or a squirrel, or a bird? And if the answer is yes, does a Druid need to practice and hone their shifting skills for each shape, or is it something that comes naturally for them to shift into anything they want?

Also, if a Druid can shift into a bird, does that mean they can fly as well? What about if a Druid takes dragon shape, can they fly as a dragon?

Thanks for answering my barrage of questions!! :)

I think this will fall under the "play what is on your character sheet" guideline... though it would be awesome to have more shapes available for druids! From what I have seen from developers, it is hard to do though :(

Though, think it's acceptable in a DM event that a druid shifts into a bird... scouts ahead and returns. (rolls survival)

It's not hard to make new shapes... it's impossible to include more than certain amount of choices to each spell (5 or 6, I think?)
