A strange sight was witnessed by travelers near the future site of the Friendly Arm last night. A man, clad only in the night, and the blood of his enemies was seem rampaging and slaughtering gnoll warriors with his bare hands. If seen close up his face would have been contorted in animalistic fury, his eyes wide, and his nostrils flared. He was heard to have shouted "Dog Face! I will kill them all!" accompanied by grunts, growls, and other inhuman noises.

Rumours abound that The Amber Court Mercenary Company is recruiting. Many speculate that this is just an old Guild under a new name. Many wonder as what to would prompt such a name change and point to the recent rumours of the death of aformentioned Guilds Leader.
The rumours say that he's looking for morally absent men. Those with a consience need not apply. Men who keep to themselves and can follow orders well. Any profession should do. The pay is good and even if work is not plenty. The man himself has plenty of internal work he'll pay for being done.

Rumors are heard of a figure clad in dark, drab colors that is seen at taverns and Inns of Baldur's Gate. She carries a lute and says she is scheduled to play. The barmaid asks the proprieter, who replies "No no. We have an act. That Alison woman is. . . " He stops as he realizes the darkly clad woman is indeed Alison.
Alison the Harlequin, once known for her bright, colorful and contrasting colors, now can be seen wearing dark colors, and a black and gray harlequin mask in place of the red and yellow one she once wore. Her music is dark and melancholy, where it once was chipper and happy. At every place she plays, she leaves the crowd more sober than when she arrived, and she isn't asked to return.
There is speculation about what caused this change. But mostly, nobody cares.

Sir Jonas Rokranon wastes little time spreading the news that his oath brother, Valerius, the Guide of Candlekeep, is once again welcome in Baldur's Gate as the banishment upon him has been lifted.

Commoners traveling the Trade Way speak about the odd sightings in and around the Cloakwood as of late. An enormous troll, calling himself Shigmosh, seems to have laid claim to the 'swumps.' Also, a mechanical spider easily the size of a small horse has been seen maneuvering about.

It has been said that the doors of the orphanage in the Farmlands is the proud owner of new mithril hinges that will not rust. This, obviously, is the work of some insane gnome.

Word spreads that Sir Jonas Rokranon was seen boarding a ship for Athkatla in a huge hurry. He only carried a rucksack along with his normally worn possessions.
Within hours of the ship's sailing, further word spreads that the paladin received word that his daughter in Amn has fallen ill and Jonas was concerned that it could be the same plague that already claimed several of his adopted siblings.

You hear a tale from a butcher, that says he was told by a cart pusher, that a goat herder saw a limping old one-eyed man seen carrying the head of a Minotaur slung over his shoulder walking towards the Gate...
Rumors abound of a party of adventurers that came across a Short Horned Minotaur near the ruins of the Temple of Bhaal, someone else says the body was burned on the blood stained meadow...

Word has it that a new Gnome has appeared in the city of Baldur's Gate and that he is already friendly with none other than the renown Gnome Istari Archmagus Foggy McGee who was seen to warmly greet and then guide this fresh faced Gnome about the many city districts making introductions and pointing out the many landmarks. Some even say that afterwards Archmagus Foggy McGee went so far out of his way as to leave the city to also introduce the fellow to Jorm and escort him a ways south along the Trade Way, safely guiding him in and out of those Kobold infested ruins on that large hill which overlooks the Coast Road. Still others have reported an uncanny resemblance between Archmagus Foggy McGee and this new addition to the Sword Coast.

A few elves claim to have seen a demon near the old temple of Bhaal, attacking a party of orc-kin that was travelling some way ahead of them.
That particular incident however was soon quite forgotten, when the small orcish gathering by a nearby fire to recover from the demonic attack became itself a matter of note and challenge by a growing number of other elves and hostile passers-by, and finally departed toward the wood of Sharp Teeth.
Some of the more wary elves seemingly disappeared into thin air soon thereafter too, so one may wonder if that was really the end of it...

The Old Temple area has been much occupied lately by gnome workers building Bentley Mirrorshade's inn.
A whole gnome colony, known as the Gnomish Gatherin' seems to have invested the Old Temple area where gnolls used to roam.
Gnomenguards, glyphs and traps secure the area while Bentley Mirrorshade's inn is under contruction.
A firecamp and some tents can be seen outside the Old Temple gate and even if some gnolls dare to show their faces from times to times, any adventure will receive a warm welcome and will be able to find the best gnomish trinkets, traps, wands, potions, tales and such down the Sword Coast.
