"General, I come bearing word from the elves of the northern lands. Ahk'aegis Laisren has commanded that we might aid you in the recovering of your people from the Orcish held land. Villi Mendel and the Master Ranger Feralyn stand prepared to aid you in scouting the area in and around Triel. If you agree to this, I have been commanded to return this word to our village that they may begin their expedition to find the whereabouts of your people. What would I tell the Ahk'aegis General?"

The messenger awaits word.......
Uriel replies to the messenger,

"Please tell the Ahk'aegis that we graciously appreciate his offer. We currently have patrols scouring the lands for those still missing. Coordinating with their activities would be well appreciated. They are currently operating out of the Temple of Tyr in Baldur's Gate. I will soon journey to the Temple myself. Godspeed."

Uriel bows his head as the elven messenger depart.

The messenger returns to the forest with word from the General of the Silver Rose Order. The Ahk'aegis implores Villis Mendel and Feralyn to go to this Temple and aid the General in this mission. They are to take only one, perhaps two others that are the most skilled and well trained in such matters.

*Drifting in and out of conciousness for days, Seth begins to struggle against the fog that clouds his mind. He can feel his very being, being pulled by death's handmaidens to the halls of Myrkul. At the moment of almost succumbing to their beckons, he hears Elvinas weak voice murmur his name. At the whisper of her desperation Seth's will becomes anew. He forces himself to conciousness.

Awake, he does not open his eyes, but overhears someone talkin in the background. He hears them speak of their confusion, his lack of physical injury baffles them. Seth knows they must speak the truth, for he feels no pain. Seth knows his injuries are deeper than that of the physical. His injuries are to his lifeforce itself, that only time can heal.

Seth slowly and groggily opens his eyes, fighting for every treasure of light he can see. Then turns his head to the side and see's Elvina laying there beside him. The corners of his mouth begin to curl into a smile, and says to her " your not gettin rid of me that easily", then pauses as he smiles mischieviously "Ma'am"

Sitting in the lounge drinking Gus' Tea, John pens a note to Revenark.

"Lord Revenark, I had a very interesting conversation this afternoon with Bagnose. I am concerned for his mental health as he has suffered quite a trauma. I am afraid that I don't know much about Dwarven culture, and he could probably benefit from talking with you or one of the other Dwarves. I am not in a position to discuss the substance of his and my conversation, suffice it to say one look at his armour will tell you what to ask about. No, he was not in a jousting match.
Sincerely, sir John"

*Uriel posts a memo to all available Knights and Squires. He also extends an invitation to the dwarves of Stonebar.*

Brothers and sisters,
Even though the catastrophic events of the past weeks are still fresh within our mind and many are still recovering, I think it best we look forward instead of behind. In this regard I am calling all available Knights and Squires to fully armed combat training tomorrow evening at the Keep. I am also extending the offer to the Dwarves of Stonebar to join us if they are available and of the mind. Let us stay ever focused on our duty and oaths and ever ready to combat the agents of vile darkness.

*Revenark reads over the message sent by the Knight John, stroking his beard with a stoic face that's hard to read*.
"Hmmmm" *is all he says. Rev places the note within the nearby fire, stoking and watching it closely to make sure it's completely burnt. Revenark pins a note of his own in response*

- Knight John Bridges
My thanks for the information. I doubt such a fate could find it's self in a Dwarf respected and honored enough to be blessed by our King as a Clanwarden of Stonebar. I do speak with him often, but at your honest request I'll seek him out sooner.
Signed: Revenark of the Stoneholds, Kingswarden of Clan Stonebar -

*Rev gives Rand enough coin for John's drinks the next time he comes in. After talking with Rand about old times, and new dangers he leaves to seek out the many people he needs to speak to*.

Uriel dismisses the Knights and the Squires from the lounge, excluding Rand, and occupies the Lounge of the Silver Rose Keep with guests. As Uriel leaves he motions for Rand to watch over their guests. Rand winks as he heads upstairs to rest. Upon passing, he motions for guards to occupy the lounge as well.

Come morning, Knights and Squires alike come across a curious scene, an old barbarian woman sleeping on the couch and a young one sprawled sleeping on the floor in front of the fireplace.

*Elvina, resting on the couch infront of the fireplace in the lounge, looks around the room slowly then over to her trusted spirit guide Spike. He hasn't left her side since she and Seth were dumped found. She shakes her head with a chuckle as he tries to get on the small couch with her. I told you, not on the couch… You're Not a lap dog. He looks at her making some growly noises and settles back down again. She takes up her staff in one hand, planting it firmly on the floor and grabs one of his glowing razor sharp spears on his back with the other and slowly stands. A grimace of pain shoots through her slowly healing leg as she manages to stand upright looking around.

The pain quickly turns to anger as she begins to speak to Spike in her Spirit Shaman language. Those FOOLS! She shouts startling Rand as he prepares the bar for the day. He looks up and quickly finishes wiping down the bar and makes a hasty exit from the room. He knows better than to stick around when Elvina yells. The room quickly fills with all manner of Spirits as she speaks... like a hazy fog on a cool spring morning.

They left those innocent people to Die! And used us for cannon fodder! The spirits knowing well "they" meaning the Dukes of Baldurs Gate. Then they call a meeting and try to get out of it by turning all our allies against one another??! IMBICILES! She says staring into the fire. I warned them, NO Begged them to come... they sat back and did Nothing! She throws a vase from the mantle, smashing it against the far wall nearly losing her balance.

Like I told Arkaine and the others last night the safety of the people are our concern. That means our allies as well… I want answers! She begins to calm down, her broken ribs aching from yelling. She turns to spike and the other spirits swirling about the room. All of our carefully laid out plans – Ruined. How in the hells were we ambushed? It’s not everyday a 20 foot tall war troll can sneak into a town undetected by our scouts... and not just one, how many... Six?... Nine? Impossible!!… we should have seen them coming for miles. And the Mercenaries? I want to know who hired them and how the hells they got past us… Every day we were there filling the palisade with supplies. Had I seen even one of them from Soubar I would have killed them myself after what happened to Sir Thomas Rothwild, may he rest in peace.

Now we find our missing … and our dead… RAND! Is my armor repaired yet?! She yells again clutching her ribs.
Damn good thing I wasn’t at that meeting. She says quietly, hobbling to the door as the cloud of spirits leave the room. *

From the library, Cyrus perks up has he hears the sounds of vases breaking and sees Rand sprinting from the lounge, not something you see a knight of his age doing everyday. With a quick muttering to himself and a gesture or two, Cyrus vanishes from sighte, and quicklyi adn quietly makes his way from his library to the lounge, opening the door just a bit to peek inside.

Witnessing the events inside, although he has no idea what Elvina is saying, her body language and destructive rage speaks volumes.

Cyrus returns to his desk, a grin on his face for the fist time since he returned from the Abyss..."Now, things are going to get interesting around here."

The deep belly laugh of a dwarf can be heard eminating from the Library in the keep. Should anyone come by, that would hear the disembodied laugh, but see no one.....at least not until the invisibility spell wore off.

The gate guards would have reported Cyrus meeting with is brother shortly before this happens.

Loud noises of crashing and slamming can be heard emanating from Cyrus' sleeping area, and then the library. Chairs being knocked over, books being packed, and strings of dwarven (what one could most assuredly be taken as cursing) precede. The other knights steer quite clear of the library, giving it a wide berth.

Cyrus can been seen tossing a pack over his shoulder and heading out the front door. Hands a note to the gate guards and walks off towards the inn.

"Rand, have you seen Lady Elvina?" John asks, almost in an impatient tone.
"Is it urgent my lord?" Rand replies, with concern in his voice.
Shaking his head sir John says, "Only a matter of... well concern. I will ink her a note and leave it in her office. Taking a seat in the Knight Warrant office, sir John wirtes.

"To My Good Lady,
An incident happened a few hours past that I want to bring to the attention of the Order. While I was present for most of it I would like to try and give you an unbiased and Balanced version of events. Some of what I will tell you I did not witness directly myself as I was in another adjacent room, although others did and told me the story after it happened.
I had travelled to the Fields of the Dead to perform my daily ritual of cleansing those foul creatures and in there discoverd a small group who were performing the same task. They were comprised of various skills and abilities and I asked if I could join them. We ventured north to the crypt where I believe the source of the corruption stems, and prepared ourselves with spells and prayers to enter. There we were met by a woman that they later told me was named "Azmodeth" (sp?) who spoke in a serpant-style tongue, whom the bard said tortured animals, and who claimed to be a dragon. Again, I did not hear all of this, it is transcribed from those there that did, but it would describe the strange actions she took following.
We went inside of the crypt, carfully watching for undead spawn, and killing all we saw. This dragon lady followed us in asking if she could join in, and we agreed for who wouldn't want assistance on such a dangerous journey? Upon entering the last of the crypts rooms and slaying an unsavory gargoyle however she made the unusual step of checking a chest for treasures and claimed she found a set of mithral full-plate armour. Requests from the party members came up to decide by lots who should recieve such a treasure as we all participated equally in reaching this area, and miss Anna verified that Azmodeth indeed was in possession of this armour. Requests turned into demands, and the mood got quite heated. In hearing a disturbance down the hall I left the room to insure that we had not missed and undead creature, and I was several dozen feet away when I heard sounds of a battle back where the party was. I returned to find the party embroiled in combat with Azmodeth and the dwarf severely wounded. I yelled and attempted to end the fight, but no one paid me any heed. Azmodeth cast a sending spell that miss Anna attempted to disturb by pushing her, and powerful aid was sent for. Again, I asked my new-found comerades to leave with me and avoid further escalation, and they did albeit some a little reluctantly.
Back in the farmlands my group discussed each of their feelings on what had happened, and that the dwarf had given Azmodeth fair warning to cease and desist and she pre-emptively smote him. The discussion cooled tempers and we decided that we would leave the area, when an unknown person ran past us towards the Fields and smirked at us and said, "mitral full plate?" Discussion began anew and we felt that perhaps as a group we were set-up for this encounter by at least Azmodeth and this unknown woman for purposes of chaos and lawlessness attempting to draw us into a fight which served no purpose, perhaps to rob and loot us, or perform evil ritual upon our corpses. Their true purposes are unkown to me.
My Good Lady I would request you pass this information on to the Knight's General and the rest of the Order to watch for this unstable woman and her companion or companions as they are extremely powerful and very dangerous, and have questionable motives.

In Good Faith

sir John Brydges, Knight Warrant, Palidon of Tyr"

((OOC: we could read the contents of the sending, but I left it out of this as I am not sure if ICly we would have heard any of or known who it was sent to.))

*Lady Elvina Replies, posting his letter and her response on the bulletin board in the patrol log for all the Knights and Squires to read*

Sir John,

Yes I am in agreement with you. This seems to be the theme lately, first with Dominic and now with this Azmodeth. This quite possibly is another attempt at a smear campaign to gode and or lure us into conflict or a fight in an attempt to sully our reputation or worse like you said.

With that said, please add Azmodeth name and description, as well as the description of the second who you mentioned in your report to the Watch List alongside Dominic's name. We must be vigilant and devout in our Code now more than ever as we are tested in this way. I would also ask everyone who notices this odd behavior from others to post their accounts on the Patrol Log for all the Knights and Squires to see and be aware of.

Sincerely,
Lady Elvina

Cyrus sits in his room at the Friendly Arms Inn, and ponders on recent events before he starts writing in his journal.

"It has been several days now since the incident involving mi brother and the hin occurred and I moved out of the keep. The thing that speaks to me louder than most is what has not happened since I moved out of the Keep. It speaks volumes to me. I think i will go seek advice from the Elders....that will certainly have good advice."

Cyrus closes his Journal and sighs, stands up from the desk and lays down for a nap.
