A human man wearing red hood and cloak over fine chain mail and carrying a quarterstaff enters Soubar in these times. He trails an undeniable charismatic aura, one that would, without denial, turn heads would he enter a tavern or inn.

But the inn he does not enter. Instead, after walking easily through the gate to Soubar, he takes time to encounter each being that stands within the merchant area, taking account to whatever economy is left during the moments of change that Soubar experiences from the most recent past.

While he speaks to each with a calm and soft tone, it lingers in rumor after his passing, that this man, an Invoker of some Power, promotes that chaos will lead to the strongest surviving...and from his opinion, those not of the strongest sort, would best ally themselves quickly, to Them that seem most poised to conquer.

A group known as "The Bright Order" as been plaguing the Trade Way North of Soubar. Rumors have it this group has been using Vampires, Ghouls and other undead in there attacks. Patrols from the Northern Outpost have been combating the situation. The situation has been rough due to only a light garrison occupying the ruined outpost but nevertheless the struggle for the control and safety of the Northern Trade way continues.

The past week saw many visit the Northern Outpost whether it be to seek rest, trade, or just visit out of curiosity.
Many have had an active interest in the outpost due to its location. The Northern Trade way was a gate way to bypass ducal lands and reach the Southern part of the region.

More tents have been put up in recent days in preparation to house those that that wish to flee the frontlines wherever they be.

New life has been breathed into the Northern Outpost as its first Merchant would come and set up shop.
Rumor has it that requisitions for lumber and stone to rebuild the Outpost have already been send out.

The undead defending the Outpost has been minimized even further. Many Northerners have volunteered to help guard the Outpost until
a more suitable arrangement for a defending force can be made.

Skirmish's still frequently take place along the Northern trade way between Wildlife, Bandits, groups of necromancers and the Outpost forces as the all contest for control of the area.

It is rumored the Merchant who has set up shop is buying wolf pelts for 35 gold pieces.

Those passing through the Northern Outpost would hear talks of a dispute between the Blackrose sister's the end result leaving Amelia in charge of the Northern Outpost and all remaining undead forces laid to rest.
A Sign would be erected stating "Use of undead is prohibited within the Outpost" Also a Standard of the Black Rose would be hung high within the outpost.

Regular patrols would continue from the "Northern Outpost" making sure that supply lines continued to thrive.
With the elimination of the undead at the outpost and flux of those fleeing the front lines many of these refugees and travelers would be
approached and asked if they wish to help secure the area and in doing so help protect there families and friends.
A "Recruitment call" would be in-acted for all those interested to join the "Northern Trade Way Militia".

The veteran from the fighting against the devil may have noticed a new recruit coming to the field : a tall red hair woman, with a green skin, wielding a greataxe and wearing proudly a cloak adorned with 2 woman's eyes surrounded by stars.

She came with a magician in white armor and looked a bit frightened when she experienced her first attack. After being reassured by Nathan and Valan, she thrown herself into the fight and tried to follow her mentors.

A man in black with a helmet is seen arriving
At the norther Tradeway, speaking to a woman dressed in black, after some talk, he starts playing the lute to the refugees, he takes requests from them for free and tries to keep a cheerful mood.

After playing for several hours, he takes his leave, but not without promising to return.

SOUBAR, A CHALLENGE TO DUEL (Dreadlady Morgalia vs. Bueroza)

Bueroza, a warrior of Bane currently condemned as a 'traitor of the Zhentarim', made a public declaration of defiance toward the Dreadlady Castellan Morgalia of Darkhold.

Through the Zhentarim Agent Marietta Bueroza relayed his challenge, defying the Dreadlady Morgalia in the name of Bane to meet him in a public duel; this to avenge what he called 'harm on his honor' by her 'false and foolish suspicions' that led to her declaring the edict of his exile.

"By iron and blood let the Dark Lord decide between us."

When the possibility of the Dreadlady refusing his defiance was proposed, Bueroza - after condemning such as 'unfathomably shameful' - made further public display of the cast iron key he was entrusted on his initiation to the Zhentarim - a key allowing access to the halls, temples and dungeons of Darkhold - remarking not so subtly that it would be 'unfortunate' if it 'somehow fell' into the hands of the enemies of Morgalia, before he could return it to her personally...

More would be drawn to the Northern Outpost seeking shelter and refugee, though there would be many who pass on by continuing south unsure and weary of the Bane worshiping proprietors. Those that would stay would be those who's views were in line or similar to the doctrines of Bane and those that didn't care or had nowhere else to go. Regardless of the case they would find food, shelter, protection and even gold for those who joined the ranks of the rag tag militia.
The only thing required of them was obedience and loyalty.
Rumors have it that around fifty would take up arms at any given time ready to defend the Outpost and the families that dwelled there.
Hung high around the camp were a familiar insignia.

The merchant, Vaelen, can be seen from time to time at the Northern Outpost.
He seems to busy himself mostly with his trade when present. The mage can occasionally be spied seeking out the Mistress of the outpost, Amelia Blackrose, for private counsel.
Rumor has it that the two are making a deal that could see the Outpost prosper..

The bard dressed in black keeps visiting the refugees and militia men to play songs for them. This time he returns with a shiny new magical lute and also performs a duet with an illusory clone of his.

Rumors float around that at Amelia Blackrose behest a man would arrive from Waterdeep to assist her with the training of the Milita.
The man in question would wear the Colors of the House Of Black Rose.
Over the next few days the Man could be seen running drills, giving sparring instructions and engaging in forced march practices with a familiar bard lending his music to help with the timing and rhythm of the march.
At the end of a long day of training the Militia would be given a spread of food and a keg or two would be open in recognition of the progress being made.
