Rumours of Sshamath

The building work had continued for cycles upon cycles. Duergar beating into an open cavern, the cracking of whips and hushed words from patrols.

The beating of the hammers that once echoed out from the cave and around the lake slowed to that of one hammer. Though the area remained heavily guarded. Clink, clink, clink. It continued for what seemed like a cycle, before a brow beaten Stonemason left the cave, passing one of the first caravans to enter the cavern leading into the building.

Qilintha launched a thick gold coin from her fingers to the Duergar, a rare occurrence of generosity from the Ilharess. "Quite ironic." She closed her eyes waiting for her orders to be carried out, a soft laugh escaping her lips for only but a moment, an eerie calm kissing the air around her.

The calm is broken with a pounding of steel boots on the stone floor. A duergar carried by guards kicking and screaming into the cavern "No-no! But I didn't! I did what you said! I- I spent cycles carv-" The golden coin falling from his clutches as he passed her, the two gaurds marching towards the building. Soon the Yath'rin began their chanting, the begging turning from cries to blood curdling screams. "Lolth tlu malla!" The Ilharess proclaimed as she slid her fingers over the coin, swiftly pocketing it, her eyes set on the spider-headed spear forced into the stonemasons torso, sitting like hand to glove in the central cavity of the new stone spider adorning the building.

Qilintha stood a while longer admiring the scene, the intricate detailing of the stonework and the shimmering of blood enchancing its dark appeal. "Truly a skilled worker. Now serving in death." She spoke with amusement, turning to greet a new convoy of caravans.

A stunning jalil can be seen in Gloura's Wing regularly. It is rumored that she frequently sings songs to herself regarding the Spider Queen. Other times she can be seen walking the streets humming similar songs of worship. Patrons of Gloura's Wing have come to know her as Amiliir.

A rumor circulates of a jabbress named Zesstra Xune Thadalix carrying a glowing stone with dwarven ruins carved into it while visiting Gloura's Wings. The jabbress was overheard recounting a tale to another patron of her battle against a cadre of illithid sorcerers and their small army of duergar thralls in order to obtain the rare and powerful artifact.

With a flash and an inky swirling of black mist, three figures - two Dev'lin and one Xilaben - disappeared into the shadows of the Darkwood district. Some time later, the same flash of light is said to have been seen on the outskirts of Sshamath followed by whisps of shadows as the two Dev'lin return... a signed and sealed roll of parchment within the gloved hands of the youngest, Sabrae.

Ril'vyr Dev'lin has been seen walking around Sshamath with some young male drows, ordering them around like they were his slaves, with each order he gave followed a quick response from the young males " A'dos quarth Quel'Saruk "... Moments pass and they were all seen leaving the City trough the portal.

Lis'intha Dev'lin is seen more and more out searching many areas from the Crypts to the Ilithid mines.

Escherichia Dev'lin emerges from the Dev'lin compound for the first time in months. She is seen meeting briefly in Gloura's Wings with the first daughter of Dev'lin. After their conversation, she returns to the compound.

Bardax Zau'afin

Bardax Zau'afin is seen at the head of a Zau'afin caravan returning to Sshamath. Tied tightly by ropes are many new rothes, 2 ogres, several goblin chieftans, goblin elites, and a few goblin shamans are seen moving in formation into the Zau'afin compound. The Zau'afin soldiers around the newly aquired slaves keep them in line and one particularly dangerous looking grey orc shouts in their faces and slams his hand into their faces and guts, often crumpling an ogre with one hit. It seams this grey orc is teaching these rothes how to obey submissively their new masters.

A rumor is heard that these creatures attacked a Zau'afin trade caravan destined for Shamath from Schyndrylyn to enhance the stores of the fat one, the merchant Adenith Zau'afin

Several heads from Barriahel soldiers are seen littering the area around the Dev'lin construction site in the mist lake.

Lis'intha Dev'lin is also overheard in Glouras, the spiders kiss and the great elixir as she speaks overly loud to other members of her Quellar. Quellar Barriahel is so weak and so misguided they call for devils .... can you believe it -devils- to come to their aid against us. They know that Lolth would most likely use demons against -them- should they ever try and ask Lolth for help against her most favored. Those poor pathetic sour full excuses of Lolths children ... tieing themselves to Faern and devils will -never- stand a chance against Quellar Dev'lin. LOLTH TLU MALLA !

Ril'vyr was seen leaving Sshamath towards the darkwoods district with a drow some may know as Lomendel, Ril'vyr was then seen some time later returning to Sshamath alone.

Two new well covered lithe Drow males whisper to each other in the Gloria's wings. One has dual daggers at his belt. The other has dual long curved blades. They both carry the insignia of Zau'afin on their soft leather armors. They walk with cat like grace and the whispers speak of deadly Velg'larn arriving to serve thier powerful Ilharess.
