You know I am a Nerys fan already... She stands out a bit from the typical barbarian, or the barbarians perhaps most of us have in mind. The traditions and sayings and everything around the Greyfox paint up a picture that barbarians are so much more than mindless, berserker killers. Nerys certainly acts her part as an Emissary, trying to bridge the gap between her people and those of the walled cities. When in the city or in diplomatic situations, she still acts as Nerys the Skald of Greyfox... being quite blunt at times and lacking the social graces of the city folk, which is always amusing but it is never from her being rude but because that is the way a Greyfox acts. She does not try to become something she is not.

Which is.. mischievous with a sly kind of humour at times but a woman with a big heart for those she considers friends and family.

Psst: Anyone feel free to let me know how you perceive Telia but please do it over PMs if you choose to :P

I would be interested to hear people's comments on my priest, Ameris, both generally as to his RP, and also regarding a couple more specific questions:

-what does it seem like I am trying to achieve with the character?
-how convincing has his development over time been?

So, I've been pottering about the server for nearly nine months, enjoying myself hugely, and enjoying a lot of you all as well. I figure time to get a little feedback...

I am a bit of an alt-o-holic, and so might well have met some of you momentarily on a few short term toons, but any feedback appreciated on my mains:

Umbral - the rumbly Silver Shield
Thom Sunder - the rotting monk

or for those in the UD:
Gnaw - the Tannaruk slave

Thanks in advance.

I haven't RP'd with him personally but I've been around when he was conversating and have to say he is one of the most interesting and entertaining personalities I have seen on the server, thus far. And I love the character concerpt of Overgnome as well!

Ameris is a treasure chest for RP experience (not points), and a goal to aim for. He is dynamic in a stotic way, which sounds contradictive, but isn't.

One of the best player characters on the server.

I meant to reply ages ago.

Generally, he really should drink more wine and enjoy life more instead of -suffering- all the time. ;)

As for what you are trying to achieve... Ameris has always come across to me as a quite realistic character. He is very complex and extremely conflicted. I would say the main achievement would be to find a balance in his life, come to terms with his past. May sound easy but this is Ameris, nothing with Ameris is easy!

As someone who has seen Ameris since I suppose the early days... with that tonsure haircut and Sebastian the Bear (I miss him!) I would say he has had significant character development. The development is quite convincing, there are always big RP reasons for any changes and in the core, he is still Ameris - with all the awkwardness and being overly polite. He has not suddenly woke up and become a completely different person. He went from a non-violence vow and a narrow view of the world to... whatever it is he is now. Lord Santraeger - The Wine Loving Knight-Healer with Emo Tendencies. That probably sums up Ameris nicely.

Bah no one has anything negative to say about anyone's RP. You guys are too soft.

The problem with saying negative things is that it just ends up in flame wars. Or people get insulted. And regardless it is unwise to negatively criticise someone publicly on the forums, even if they ask for it.

If people genuinely will accept negative (but potentially constructive) criticism, I suggest they state that they want their answers in PMs.

I'm getting in on this, as I've managed to salvage a machine together that crashes only 40% of the time, and get back to RP. I've made a new character, Ruarn Rysto (IG known as Jack). He's meant to be obnoxiously rude, yet endearing. Whatcha think?

Umbral- barely know him but he seems cool.

Thom- Interesting, true to his character, and he exudes an aura of strict discipline and causes very real uneasiness in those around him through his RP. You never know if he plans to snap your neck or if he's just going through his motions. Although his words seem straightforward, you feel as if he's holding something back that might bite you in the arse later.

Gnaw- Do you require meat and coins? *tosses some coins at his feet* :D (inside joke ya'll)

If its the hin that accused my hin of being a Bhaalist yesterday at the FAI, I'd have to say I like him. He's full of spunk and I loved his lil convo about crotch rot.

If this doesn't sound familiar, than I apologize and take back every nice thing I said about him. :P

I like Annabel so much that I almost feel real guilty OOC for having done such horrible things to her husband.

Classic adorable female hin who passionate and very protective. A small soft spoken halfling, but energetic and bold when the times call for it. I say bold because she basically ran The Red Sorceress off once with just a very forceful tone. It was like getting into a verbal fight where Red was supposedly a bear and she was some lil wolverine. In this metaphor, the bear just said #$% it! This #$% ain't worth it and started to back away slowly. 8-)

Ah screw it! I've said my piece about others characters so I suppose it's time to subject one of mine to scrutiny. Not like I care about your all's silly lil opinions (J/K), but what did you all think of the Red Sorceress AKA Sabel Faeria AKA Starla AKA the the NPC Vampiric Red Sorceress?
