I still don't see the point of doing this except to be an ass. Given that they are attacking multiple servers and only RP servers (as far as I can tell) it seems like they have some sort of grudge against the game itself. Maybe they are radical members of a certain religion that mistakenly believes we are all devil worshipers and trying to save our souls.

Down again, unfortunately. Oh well, time to take care of some chores I've been putting off.

Now I'm having trouble connecting to the forums as well as the server. . Is there a chance that is related?

Did they take the server down? It's not even showing up on the list now and hasn't for about ten minutes.

I'm in the server now and so are two other players. Seems to work fine now

Do you choose the server in the list or do you direct connect? The IP for direct connect is at the top of the page. That's how I get in.

As far as I can tell the server isn't crashing (though I might jinx it now) although the lag spikes makes it seem like it might be down when trying to connect with direct connect. Simply trying over and over might get you in. It seems like it lets people on in between the spikes.

You think the lag here is bad... you should try some of the other servers. OMG!!!

Server only seems to lag at certain times. usually starts around 8 to 9 in the morning. then stops around the same time at night, so what ever is casing it seems to be on a timer.

I was laughing at all the people disconnecting, then I got disconnected and now I can't log back in I don't even see the server on the list.

ok I managed to log back in. Learned my lesson. No more laughing at scrubs.

Seems my IP ranges were blacklisted by the server provider during the ddos attack and I couldn't connect afterwards for a few hours.

We're still being attacked, unfortunately. The best we can do is try to be boring victims for the attacker, who's sure to be reading the forums of his target servers.

People like this get thrills from frustrating other people. They like to feel like they're having an impact. So the best thing you can do as we harden our defenses is to not let them get under your skin.

Let them waste their money paying for attacks and their time initiating them. Don't let them waste yours. Maybe find something else to do for an hour or two whenever the server becomes unplayable? We'll do all we can do to get it back up and running as quickly as possible for everyone.

I've got to admire the patience of the guy, It's not exactly a large audience he is trying to annoy.
It seems to stop once it's getting late for the EU, probably bed time or he/she is done with the daily tantrum.

Anyway good to know that it is the server that blocks the IP's.
Was wondering why me and some others could see the server but not log on.
Wasn't related to continent either US/EU/Nope Island.
