A Flaming Fist patrolman was found brutally murdered at the doorstep of the Pathfinder's Hall. A bloody rapier was found in the alleyway near the grisly sight.

Despite the vocal protests of injustice from one man proclaiming to be a Tyrran, and further attempts at interdiction from other eyewitnesses at the scene of the arrest, some of the other bystanders swore that a young woman at the scene was the guilty party, and she was last seen dragged off, struggling, to the Flaming Fist headquarters.

A rather dour faced elf wearing a blue cloak and a fancy hat would be seen arriving outside the Flaming Fist compound sometime after the woman was arrested. The elf would pause under the arch to the compound and cast a scathing look towards the soldiers gathered there before speaking in an incredulous tone...

"Congratulations on arresting perhaps the most notable pacifist on the Sword Coast... one that has never even been seen to carry a weapon, I might add. Perhaps you should heed the words of any of the dozens of individuals or so who are familiar with the fact that your new prisoner abhors violence, hmm?".

The hatted, and clearly piked off, elf would move to linger outside the compound and lean against one of the nearby lamps then, muttering under his breath as he did, "... unless, of course, their intention was to make themselves appear absurd to the point of complete ineptitude by arresting her, that is..."

*Ckal quickly makes his way back to his office and begins writing. A copy is sent to the Flaming Fist while one is posted on the bulletin board as well as sending copies to the local temples*

To whom it may concern,

Currently our dearest and most timid Sparrow has been taken into the custody by the Flaming Fist. She has been arrested for accusations of murder of a Fist guard whose body was found at the entrance of the Pathfinder's Hall. The weapon considered to have killed this guard is a bloody rapier according to what information I could find.

Some witnesses claim Sparrow did this heinous act, however there is no proof of such falsehoods. In fact, there is plenty to prove otherwise. Sparrow's demeanor alone would give one pause after hearing what is obviously utter fabrication. Secondly, she does not bear any true weapons let alone a weapon requiring aggressive training. Thirdly there are witnesses that vindicate our good Sparrow.

We the people of Baldur's Gate and beyond demand that Sparrow be released from the cells. If the guard would like her to remain nearby I myself will keep her with me in the Sword Coast Commercial Exchange. On my honor, she will not leave before she has a fair trial. Lest we become a city that arrests the innocent and tosses them into cells meant for true criminals, we should not allow this incident to taint the name of the Fist or our fair city, most especially our august Sparrow.

Despite the vocal protests of injustice from one man proclaiming to be a Tyrran, and further attempts at interdiction from other eyewitnesses at the scene of the arrest, some of the other bystanders swore that a young woman at the scene was the guilty party, and she was last seen dragged off, struggling, to the Flaming Fist headquarters.

A clearly worried bearded man could be seen at the Flaming Fist Headquarters asking about the young woman who was recently dragged off.

The bearded man could be seen leaving the compound soon after with a frown, meeting up and sharing a few words with an elven woman in blue before heading off into the Eastern District with her.

The same blue clad elfess may have been seen later melting a candle of blue wax and dripping it upon the petition presented by Cal of the Sword Coast Commercial Exchange. She then waits a few seconds before pressing her signet ring against the parchment, leaving the distinctive imprint of the eight-pointed star of Mystra and two Espruar initials, A.A.

Rumor has it that SCCE Executive Charraj Cain is looking to speak with anyone who witnessed the murder of the Flaming Fist patrolman in front of Pathfinder Hall. Charraj presumably spends most of his time working in the SCCE's bank, and can probably be contacted there.

"So... I'm listening." A grim expression is poorly hidden under his hood as he crosses his arms.

Several Flaming Fist guards are seen entering the SCCE building. After some time passes, they leave, giving suspicious looks back to the building. They split up into patrols and police the city once more.

*Rumor has it that Squire Eleanor is trying to organize a bake sale in order to rise the funds that would help not only the refugees present in the city but also all the others in need.

The young woman in company of few Wayfork women was seen entering the Soup Kitchen in the early morning. It is being said that few hours were spent on discussing the details, recipes, pastry and work opportunities for those willing to ear a little bit of coin.

Around midday simple posters were hung around the city and one even reached FAI giving out the details.*


OOC: This simple, mini fundraising event will be held Friday 19th June at 21GMT in the East Gate district just by the main gate. It's a player driven little thing so everyone up for some cake n' tea RP is welcome

Missives have shown up at various temples around the Gate today, passed to any temple guards hands if they were present, and otherwise left in the open near the doors. Rumors state that an elf-ish looking male in rough leathers, faded boots and gods awful looking feathered hat was seen leaving the Elfsong tavern and proceeding to the Temple of Tyr, Order of Lions Pathfinder hall, Temple of Ilmater, Temple of Torm, Temple of Mystra, Sword Coast Commercial Exchange, Thayan Enclave, Ducal Palace, the Temple of Helm, and lastly the Radiant Heart compound. The elf-ish male was seen conversing with an elf briefly about the missives he was delivering. If questioned by any of the guards, he would freely give his name, Narga, and explain that the missives anonymously arrived at his room with a large sum of gold and the intended destinations scribbled on an unsigned note.

If the missive were looked at, they would read as follows:

After leaving the last missive, unless held up by the guards, he could be seen heading south from the Gate.

... The elf-ish male was seen conversing with an elf briefly about the missives he was delivering...

The fancy hatted and blue cloaked elf that the elf-ish looking individual conversed with, in front of the Pathfinders hall, might have been heard to ask the tall individual if he was delivering copies of the 'Baldurs Gate Herald', to which the courier replied that it was '"some poem" that was "kind of catchy".

The hatted elf would then be seen peering towards the deposited missive curiously. It would only take a few moments for the blue-cloaked elf to loft both brows at the "poem" in question. After a brief glance around the hatted elf would scratch his head and wander off towards the Helm and Cloak inn wearing a bit of a bemused expression.

Rumors spread of a fire breaking our in a warehouse in the Harbor District of Baldur's Gate. The fire was contained, but the building was destroyed. Upon investigation, it seems one person was unlucky to leave this place alive.
