Kaienrai, an elf often seen wandering the roads from north to south, is seen less and less in the last few days and spending more time within the confines of the Misty Forest and the village itself. When he does leave, his hood is tucked low and constantly looking back and forth, eyeing his surroundings and wary of each traveler he passes. He does not venture south of Baldur's Gate and stays well away from the roads leading to Darkhold.

Sehlanna, after a Sending conversation, travels north to watch over and walk alongside him. Casually tries to get him talking, and sharing her wards in protection of this troubled kin.

Kaienrai sat on the forest floor next to Sehlanna in the outskirts of the Misty Forest Village, close to the stream. The beauty and the blessings of the Seldarine were bountiful this day but did not seem to ease the troubled Moon Elf. The sister of Doron Amar sitting next to him did her best to calm his mind, offering words of comfort and even a joke or two to make him smile. But all without success. He half listened to Sehlanna, his mind lost in thoughts of his mother, his mentor and his family. Thoughts of the human god Bane and the two humans whom wore Bane's symbol he saw that fateful night.

Some days the meditations lingered extending themselves across time. Often these moments simply existed, no thoughts, just body and spirit. Daily worries evaporated into misty clouds. Similarly so did plans and cares. Awakening awareness would begin with a conscious wiggle of finger and toe. Her breath would deepen bringing fresh energy to her mind. Her eyes would begin focusing and the world reappeared and formed before her.

This day, her concerns and worries rushed fully and completely back brushing away the quiet calm or reverie and meditation. And so she rushed to the plaza to demand of the Rangers "Have our kin returned? Did they find the north path?" Her voice trembled with more questions. "Shimmering? Luth..?"

After a few hours, Sehlanna leaves Kai to his thoughts. He thanks her as best he could, but even that was a half hearted attempt. His imagination often carried him away pondering the many "what if" scenario's in his head. He made a mental note to thank her better at some point in the future...if there was a future for him. He sat on the banks for another hour before feeling another's gaze upon him.

After seeing both Sehlanna and Kai at the edge of the village, Ithilwen would keep her distance. Only if Kai would happen to be alone she would approach with reserve as if not to disturb the elf if he did not wish so, but close enough to be seen by Kai. As Kai makes no movement, ste takes some steps closer.

''Brother, is there anything I can do for you? It is clear something is troubling you''

The elf sits there for a few moments after the First Mage speaks. His personal sense of protocol dictated he should stand and offer her the greeting for one of her station but his senses were eskew lately. He just sat there, blankly staring out across the river. Without looking at her, he speaks softly. "I believe them to be gone now. Mother, brother and my mentor.* He solemnly holds up his house crest still speckled in blood in his left hand. "This is all that would be left, it seems. My sendings go unanswered." In his right hand, he holds the symbol of the God, Bane. Bitterly, and coldly he says, "My sendings to my family go unanswered. If the worst is true then I take comfort in knowing they take their place in Corellon's Glade. This came alongside my house crest. I spoke to the Caercilcarn of the incident that brought me here. Well, I believe the time has come where my past has caught up to me." He gulps, going quiet once more. He sits there quietly for a number of minutes, finally allowing him to share the quiet comfort that a friend brought.

"They know I am here, my friend."

Ithilwen nods slowly as she listens to what he has to say. Glancing towards the symbol of Bane and his house crest, she shakes her head. She then lets herself lower to the forest floor and leans with her back against a tree, silently sitting as she looks up to watch the sky. After moments of silence she speaks.

''In the end, we can't truly run from our past. It always seems to be able to catch up with us in whatever way. Your way however, seems quite direct. I remember what you told me concerning your reasons that brought you to our village. You say they know you are here but I do not believe they know of this village so deep in the forest. For now you are safe here. Outside of this forest and village, I am uncertain to say. This message they send you, it is indeed a dark omen.''

She takes a deep breath and turns to watch Kai.

''Know that you stand not alone in your fight. We are there for you. You are one of us now and if there is anything I can do for you, do not hesitate to ask me. If I may ask, and I realize this could be too soon, did you think of certain steps to take?''

Sehlanna would stand and extend palm out in traditional greeting. A respectful bow of her head with serene smile, "Mae govannen, etrielle." A hand rests to her kin's shoulder during his tale of woe. Offering hand to hold on sisterly comfort.

When Ithilwen waited for her departure, brows knit vexed, then turned away as her eyes watered, easing her breath. Moments later she looked to her ailing brother, "You have kin in the south as well, with aid for the asking."

She left in peace before Ithilwen spake.

Fhaeo, Levenil, Gabriella and Mendel, enter the village after their mission to the North. Immediatly the group look for Elethineth. They explain to her that after following all the clues from their vision, they managed to find the item they were looking for. Some petals from the silver flower.

The group mentioned that the Lizard Shaman that was holding the flower, was able to cure curses with it and was not willing to part with it. After long negotiations between the Shaman and Levenil, he agreed to give the group some petals from the flower.

Kaienrai smiles faintly as Ithilwen speaks. The first of his in quite some days. He bows his head to her in respect and silently chides himself for allowing the protocol slight to happen. "I believe your words Cor'Selu'Taar. Here in the village, among friends...among family...I am safe. I was foolish in my own pride and greed. I see that now. Making announcements of trade, and making my name known around the city and surrounding regionthrough merchants and contacts, I have erred. I am pathetic at this covert hiding style" He lets out a nervous chuckle, sighing. "Corellon take me my dimwittedness!". He pauses for a moment, contemplating her question.

"The thought on the way ahead did not occur to me my friend. But now, it is something I think I must face. I cannot make it known my ties to Dharasha and the village lest they attempt to seek me here. Foolish as that would be. I will take extra care when entering and departing the forest so as to leave no track nor sign. In appearance I must make it seem I walk alone, though I know Dharasha walks beside me. I must seek Sir Aelcar and the Lady Marigold and inform them of this greasly symbol *holds up the symbol of Bane* as well, for I would not wish something to befall the Order of Lions, and they must know."

He curses quietly under his breath thinking of everything going on right now.

"That is what I see my course as, First Mage, but I will gladly accept the wisdom of ages that you bring."

Ithilwen nods once more and leans back against the tree.

''You should watch your back double from now on Kaienrai, that much is obvious. Their network spreads vast. Now, is it clear to you what they want from you? What happened to your family and mentor, do you have proof, apart from what has been shown to you by them. Which divisions, which individuals, names...know your enemy.''

''As of the order of Lions. Yes you should inform them. I believe they might even be able to help you. I know both sir Aelcar and lady Marigold well. They will not linger to aid you with advise, perhaps more, if you ask me.''

She remains silent for a moment.

''Right now, it is the case to think of the solution rather than the problem. Your family, your mentor. There has been no word and I hate to say it to you but you must think the worst of it. However, we are not sure of it yet. They might be captured or they escaped. Who can say for sure it is their blood, how they got your family crest and what not. Keep your head clear until the danger subsides. It is the best way to help your family, whatever may have befallen them. Think of the solution.''

Kaienrai sat in the meeting pondering so many questions.

He relayed his finding and his fears to Sir Aelcar, Lady Marigold and the Lady Ithilwen. The collected wisdom of the group eased his thoughts a bit, but populated it so much more with questions and possibilities on the way ahead. Much needed to be prepared for and thoroughly thought out for this plan to come to come to fruition. But first things first. He thanked them both and through the might of the First Mage, steeled himself to for the magically expedited journey to the Misty Forest.

He must speak to the Selu'Onal.

The Misty Forest remains as quiet as ever while the crescent moon is about to dip past the horizon and the night turn to day. Along the barely noticable trail from the High Moor and to the elven village, the shadows shift and dance ever so slightly slightly as something unseen and unheard moves through the forest, leaving only the lightest of tracks.

The dance of the shadows halt and coalesce briefly near the entrance to the village, and a short, graceful figure walking very much in a dance herself, steps out of them. She is clad in tight black clothes with a hood from which a silvery-white braid hangs out of. She is armed with three short swords and a rapier, all sheathed - two short swords on her left hip and a short sword and rapier hanging down across her back. Whatever alarm this figure may have caused would quickly be dispelled by the two bright yellow, joy-filled eyes shining out from under her black hood as well as the wide smile that expresses genuine love for what she sees as she enters the village.

As the rangers notice her, she pulls back her hood to reveal the pointed ears and blue-gray skin of a moon-elf. She dances lightly over to one of the rangers guarding the inner village and give him a customary elven greeting, albeit with more cheer than most other elves ever show.

"Tell Kaienrai that the Shadowmistress wishes to speak with him!" she says dramatically with the training of a professional actor. After a few seconds however, the expression breaks into a soft giggle. "No, don't do that! I'm Nëa of the Order of Lions, same as Aelcar and Marigold. Rawr! I need to speak with Kaienrai," she explains and grins.

She them moves over to sit on the round next to Deacon's house while she waits.

The meeting was done; the Caercilcarn have been informed. He thought to himself as he paced back and forth under the boughs of two mighty oaks. There were more Dharashans in the council room than he expected but their overwhelming understanding and support filled him immensely. Indeed, the concern of all gathered meant more to him than they would ever know! “This is Dharasha” He said out loud to himself, strengthening his resolve.
Two days passed since Dharasha gathered to hear his tale. And he confined himself to the safety of the hidden village since that time. To protect himself, and to protect Dharasha. He used the days to contemplate the plan and course of action originally introduced in his meeting with Aelcar, Marigold and the Cor’Selu’Taar and knew it was time to speak with Mendel. The insight and aid of the Selu’Onal, of all of Dharasha, would be needed in the time to come.
He quickened his pace towards the center of the village when one of the rangers approached him hastily.
“Brother,
A sister awaits you outside our border. She introduced herself as the Shadowmistress at first, then announced herself to be the Lady Nea of the Order of Lions. A peculiar lot that one. Not from our village, that is certain.”
“Shado…NEA!? So far up north? I wonder what is amiss? Thank you brother, if you are headed back to her, I will follow.”
He looked towards the council room where Mendel normally conducted his business one last time before following the swift Ranger. “The dancer in twilight here in the Misty Forest. This is most certainly going to be interesting.”
