I am curious, how long do these attack usually last?

So nwnlist shows the server up with 27/75 online. Does this mean that every time there is a DDoS attack that many of us will be banned from connecting for what seems to be 12 hours? I know tweaks are being done on the protections but I hope (for my sake and others) that this won't be the final tweak. However, I will say, no matter how much it sucks, if this is what it takes to combat this ass-hat that does this and lets the server continue, I'll accept it and just know to come back the next day and hope it will one day get resolved. Kudos to the dev team for staying the course and showing this extremely rude and, quite frankly, criminal person what BGTSCC is made of.

The attacks are usually very brief, but 9 times out of 10 they crash the server. This last one just lagged it to the nines for about a half hour or more and caused about 30 people to disconnect, but didn't zonk the server entirely.

I seem to have some troubles staying connected. I am online for 3-5 minutes, then severe lag starts and I drop out.

EDIT:
I kept a constant ping now and managed to stay online for about an hour. Then I dropped from the server again, but the ping didn't have any timeouts. I have no idea what happened there, but it doesn't seem like anyone else were having any problems.

EDIT 2:
Now I'm getting dropped often again. Ping kept constant still with no timeouts, and I'm continuously being dropped.

It's like the server is blocking off certain areas only in the NWN2 port or something.

Just got booted and now says password is incorrect. Server appears to be down

Are you sure it's not just resetting?

it lagged out for me, certainly seemed different from a reset. in any case I can get back in now so perhaps it was a reset or just me...

If the DDoS Defense is blocking Nodes, then you might just find yourself getting blocked, or dropped. Maybe the DDoSer is coming from Norway!

is the server being attacked at the moment ? i'm experiencing huge lag and sudden disconnections

omg, I'm hoping it isn't me - because we were connecting on two computers behind the same router (we have four in the house but only two were logged in), but the port numbers are set differently on each computer documents/Neverwinter Nights 2/nwn2player.ini

I had the second computer log off (which my roomate and I use for , and i double checked the files, but the lag still seemed to be there. so, I logged off as well.

I'm going to try logging back on with one computer only and see if that does anything.

Last time DDoSer came from Hungary

Hungary IP. Spoofing IP's is easy.

Since the recent server reset i am having a lot of dces and after the last one i cannot login anymore at all... server seems to be up tho

anyone else having this issue?
