Re: Order of the Radiant Heart Role-Play
"Loghain was seen with an elven companion of his named Shy'lle when their conversation was intervened by another elf who clearly had the look of a ranger about her. She pleaded to the both of them that she needed a healer as three women outside the baldur's gate city were infected with a horrid disease. Apologizing to Shy'lle, Loghain rushed out to the eastern farmlands where the three sick women were, laying on the ground. Loghain quickly knelt before them and placing his hands firmly on their chests, he called the powers of his god Tyr to strip the disease that had plagued them away from their bodies. They were still looking sick however and Loghain was able to carry two of the women back to the Tyr temple and bearing a closer connection to Tyr, called on him again to cure the women of their illness and the disease had been forcefully stripped away from them though they were still heavily weakened. The third woman had been taken to the illmater temple where she was cared for as well."
"Within moments, one of the women, named Alcarin Silversong, told Loghain along with the Darius brothers what had happened. She and her companions were venturing up north in the trollclaw mountains when they were ambushed by undead. They fled at every turn but undead shadowed them at every corner. Finally, they chose to head to the dwarven stronghold, where the gates were all but shut to all those outside. Loghain feared the worst as she mentioned undead dwarves had attacked them as well. Ash and fire poured from the mountains as they fled back down to Baldur's gate, along with the disease that had wracked throughout their entire bodies."
"Loghain shortly thereafter took them both to the illmater church, where they were both cared for and tended too by a priest of Mystra who proved to be an excellent healer. Loghain provided what assistance he could and left the three women in her capable hands. He returned to his room at the blade and stars and getting some parchment and his red seal of tyr, arranged to have a letter to be sent to Arkaine HalfOrken, where he would arrange to have it sent to him the next morning, explaining what he had found out.

Re: Order of the Radiant Heart Role-Play
Activity seems to be picking up around the Order of the Radiant Heart Auxiliary, and the project to reconstruct its Chapterhouse. The men-at-arms and knights not deputed to defence of the orphanage are busy with preparing for an expedition of some kind, outfitting wagons and gathering supplies.

Following an expedition south to the Ruins of Castle Uther by four of the paladins of the Auxiliary and the Sword of Torm Sir Redfern, who sadly fell in battle, the wagons of the Order of the Radiant Heart Auxiliary head south with the intention of retrieving stone for the chapterhouse.

xLegionx wrote:Loghain was running as fast as he could through the foggy plains of the fields of the dead having already been several miles away from any form of civilization, his plated armor dented and broken and the wounds on his body leaking his celestial blood in many places after having killed nearly an army's worth of undead on his own. He had already nearly exhausted every last strand of divine power that he had connected to Tyr and his divine spells which he had casted a while ago, finally waned. It was now just the undead, him and his blade. His self-punishing efforts however, brought the attention of an undead warband led by a lich of great power. Loghain looked upon them, anger and rage having taken over his mind.
Loghain layed flat on his belly on a wet, grassy hill and he spotted the warband from a distance with the lich in the front of the patrol followed by what appeared to be twelve undead corpses with each armed with shields and a variety of rusty-looking one handed weapons. Loghain, despite the wounds he beared, rose swiftly from the hill in which he viewed them, charging bravely with his sword held high in the air and glowing with a divine light. "FOR THE GOD OF JUSTICE!!!" he screamed and charged first at the undead warriors.
With every ounce of strength he had left he slammed his armor weight into the undead warriors as he charged, spinning swiftly in the center of the warband with his sword and shield arm outstretched n a wide arc around him, bludgeoning and slashing through half of the undead warriors. The lich turned and pointed to Loghain, speaking his devilish tongue, and the remaining undead charged and leaped upon the paladin with their rusted weapons raised high in the air slamming the rusted metal into the paladin's armor. The lich looked on amusingly as the injured paladin fought with all his strength, hovering in a mocking fashion with his arms crossed across his chest, and then began cackling at the paladin's pathetic onslaught.
Loghain blocked and deflected the blows from the remaining six undead warriors as best he could but a few blows were lucky enough to further open the wounds that were present in the open dents in his armor. He did not notice the pain insteading summing up every bit of weapon skill he could manage to swing one final arc with his outstretched sword arm as the remaining undead warriors closed in around him carving a brutal cut through their ribcages effectively cutting them all in half. The remaining undead corpses laid upon the ground lifeless as Loghain turned his gaze to the lich, who still looked on with amusement. The lich spoke with a hiss to his voice,"You were foolish to come hither fewlish knight! You hath breathed your last breath upon this land. Kneel before me and I shall at least allow your conscious soul to still be present as I turn you into a death knight."
Loghain nearly fell over and succumbed to his wounds but stood tall and turned his helmeted gaze to the lich, pointing his sword at him and standing tall in confidence to his faith despite his wounds. "I will never bow nor serve you foul apostate of dark magic! You are the epitome of evil and your very existence is a mockery to the maimed god! I shall come upon you with a swift sword stroke and send your bloody soul straight to hell!" The lich cackle at his response his laugh echoing in sound in the fields around them. The lich raised his arms outstretched in front of him and a large horde of undead surrounded him and Loghain in an instant. "You flatter me with your words Paladin. But you shalt suffer a thousand fates far worse than what the maimed god will suffer when I stand before him with my dark magic and usurp the weak god's power for my own. My undead warriors...tear him to pieces!" the lich shouted".
As his final act, Loghain charged before the lich as fast as he could while the huge mass of undead closed in around him. Loghain put his faith in Tyr that he would preserve him and called upon him in a shout as Loghain closed near the lich and leapt before him in mid air. His longsword glowed in a bright blue, holy flame and Loghain's solid blue eyes flared in blue smoke. He could not control himself in that moment and swung his longsword down upon the lich, effectively slicing through the bones and flesh of the lich like butter. The lich hissed a scream that was so loud it echoed for miles across the fields of the dead followed by bright shines of godlight that erupted from the lich's torso and then exploded in a bright light of holy radiance that casted a wave of white light across the field effectively turning the descending horde of the dead into dust.
Loghain dropped his sword on the ground which emanated smoke into the air and he kneeled onto the ground and finally realizing the painful wounds that he had previously. Loghain could do nothing as he had exhausted every last bit of divine essence in that fight. He fell forward to the ground losing consciousness...and the fields were silent.

Re: Order of the Radiant Heart Role-Play
Heaven vs hell
After much travelling, Loghain and his companions come upon the great and fabled Durlag's tower. After fighting through golems and undead at the entrance, Loghain stood upon the stone bridge leading up to the entrance to the massive tower that loomed over them. Loghain took a moment to survey the battlements and watched as the undead and helmed horrors scrambled to stop them from getting in. Despite all their efforts, the dead had fallen once again in the defense of the tower.

After the tower was under their control, Loghain's companions had departed on their own separate ways. Despite this, Loghain proceeded into the lower levels of the complex where he meant a far heavier opposition of powerful dopplegangers, wraith spiders, more undead, and other various oppositions that opposed his approach. Loghain prayed to Tyr and calling upon heavens might to aid him in his hour of need, he swiftly cut down all of the foul denizens of the under tower that stood in his way.

This was not the end of it though. When Loghain opened the final door he came into a throne room that was dotted with pillars on the sides and worn tapestries hanging from off the walls. Loghain looked upon the red carpet that lay on the floor as it was littered with the remains of fallen giants; their bones and decayed flesh strewn about. Loghain saw a dark and armored figure in the distance.

Re: Order of the Radiant Heart Role-Play
A notice was addressed to the Radiant Heart, left in several places, the temple of Torm, Tyr, Ilmater, and Helm. Each hand written, pinned personally by the same hand, and stamped with a plain red wax, no insignia was offered. It read as follows.
"I write in hopes of reaching the Radiant Heart. I, Alexander Marshall, do hereby and formally submit myself to judgement for negligence, and dereliction of sworn duty to the Order in the eyes of Torm. I have relinquished my weapons and armor, and would come peacefully to seek penance for these crimes. I will be staying with Baldur's Gate for the duration, and can be reached at either the Blade and Stars, or the Pathfinder's Guild Hall temporarily.
The note was signed in a simple, non-flourished pen.
