Re: Rumours of Baldur's Gate
A group of angry men and a young woman has appeared in Baldur's Gate asking about a red-haired man. Rumour has it that he tricked them and their cousine of their fortune just before he was to be wed with the young woman.
He's described as charming, witty and good-looking. He has bright red hair, emerald green eyes and is often clad in red and black.
Surprisingly, the young woman kept pleading her family to not to pursue her former groom.

Re: Rumours of Baldur's Gate
Several witnesses claim to have seen a female halfling dressed in a bright blue chainshirt and a hood of the same colour to wander around the northewrn parts of the city and the bordering region, asking odd questions about other halflings and Amn as well as Waterdeep.
She never seems to stay at one point though....
Other witnesses claim her to appear deeply deranged and confused....

Re: Rumours of Baldur's Gate
Rumor has it that a certain bald mage angered a small group of halflings near the farmlands' caravan fire, within minutes the halflings dramatically grew in number and a fight broke out.. ending in the near death of an elf that decided to take the mage's side. Many thanks goes to Aya of Ilmater for bringing the issue under control and calming the enraged little people...

Re: Rumours of Baldur's Gate
Rumors tell of a large battle which took place near the ruined temple on the trade way.
The Fist, it is said, had erected a barricade on the road in anticipation of an Orc raid, which was not late to come, but was eventually driven back by the efforts of the fist and a band of adventurers.
Those spreading the rumor take great care to mention that the Orcs were most certainly not led by Drow, and did not have any Duerger or Orogs amongst their number.

Re: Rumours of Baldur's Gate
Sheyvya hears this rumour at several times as she is on her guard near the former themple of Bhaal. Her reaction is always the same - she hisses and snaps at the one speaking:
"So you tell me there were only Orcs? You really want to tell me that a bunch of lousy Orcs brought about a dozen experienced adventurers and about as many Fists near to defeat?"
*hisses again*
"Let me tell you one thing, you git:
I, Sheyvya Jr'ei'makiir, huntress following The Hunter, was among the poor ones that had to stand their ground against those attackers! And I clearly saw Orcs.... as well as Duergar along with their war dogs, at least two Orogs and a handful of *another hiss* dhaerow!"
She then storms off, followed by a huge Snow Leopard....

Re: Rumours of Baldur's Gate
Half a dozen bodies are fished from the harbour in the small hours of the morning as a small crowd of on lookers gathers. Spotted by a docks fisherman floating in the lee of a trader the four men and two women defy identification. All six bodies bear the marks of extreme violence, severed limbs and a myriad of lethal cuts.
Ruthlessness is the mercy of the wise.

Rumor has it that a certain human named Fowl is to be considered as a "Honorary Halflin'" thanks to his dedication and repeated assistance of Halflin' Glory.

Rumor has it an old Druid of the Keepers was seen in the city of Baldurs Gate buying supplies...the dust of the road on his boots and cloak. He spoke only business till he passed beyond the bridge to the fire searching for old faces and friends.

Several witnesses claim to have seen a female redhaired halfling in a bright blue chainshirt wandering through the street of the Palace District, finally entering the White Mask Theatre.
When she came out again, she seemed frustrated as well as deranged. She was then seen again at the northern farmlands before she vanished towards the north.

Re: Rumours of Baldur's Gate
Travellers that passed the former Bhaal Temple in the last two days were to see a female elf with only one eye eft, that sat at the campfire, dressed in an armour consisting of large white scales. The armour was largely covered with dried blood, as well as the huge cat laying in front of the elf. The elf seemed to desperately try to bandage the animal - despite being in dire need for a healer herself as the two severe wounds to her right shoulder and right upper leg stated.
She barely noticed anyone approaching her.
The few ones that managed to draw her attention at them quickly wished they didn't have done this as the elf seemed to be short-tempered and almost crazy.
Her only ways of express were short yells in a strange language and strong hisses.
After the second day she suddenly disappeared to the Cloakwood, carefully carrying the dead-wounded cat.

Re: Rumours of Baldur's Gate
Rumors along the southern road tell of a Fist member that was actually a secret, powerful necromancer in disguise. Apparently this Fist member has been arrested and awaiting trial, but not before eliminating a whole section of forest and wildlife by himself! They say he was also accompanied by a huge army of shade creatures, and that a heroic set of druids managed to stop them.

The corpse of Eric Lightbringer can be seen impaled on the Gate at Baldurs Walls. It is rumoured that recently promoted Captain Rocshanks had his body impaled there as an example to all those who defy the Flaming Fist.

Go and see the land for yourself...good man. His Necromantic arts, even if waning, still show the rot upon it. I merely pity the course of events...but I will not apologise any further...we may be protectors of the land, but that sure in the hells does not mean we will tolerate being pushed around. I just pray that the Nobles of the Gate will see reason...for all our sakes.
