A group of armed guards from the School of Necromancy are seen escorting one of the high necromancers out of the city, off in a direction towards one of the school's crypts. The necromancer seemed to have had a backpack with her and one of the guards was carrying something rolled up along with them.
An hour or so passes and the guards return to the city, without either the rolled up object or the necromancer...

A large explosion went off in the tunnels in front of the construction site of the Zau'afin Compound. Upon closer inspection, you see wisps of light everywhere and a gaping hole in the ground, which must have been the source of the noise. The corpses of orcs, goblins and umber hulks litter the ground, and before you can get a good look at the grisly scene, multiple fire elementals appear in front of you and chase you away.

After reading a note left for him, he heads in the Darkwoods. After some time, he returns to Glouras, his pouch full of gold. After having some wine, he walks out and once away from Sshamath he calls his trusted companion and heads out.

Escherichia Dev'lin, Arch-necromancer and second daughter of house Dev'lin, has vanished. Rumors have begun to spread that she is no longer among the living. Some think that she'd been killed by one of the many houses Dev'lin has had conflict with, others say her magic back fired and killed her instantly, and the rest seem quite convinced that it was someone within her own house that killed her.
The debates go on for a short time before no one seems to really care anymore about what happened to the Dev'lin wizard. Life moves on...

Rumors begin to spread in and around Sshamath that a human priest was recently dragged through the tar pits by a group of drow heading North, bearing the insignia of House Dev'lin.

A hulking Orc wanders around Sshamath, chains tightened around his wrists and ankles, though not bounded to anything seen to the untrained eye. "ZAU-FIN." ... "ZAU!" he demands, his grunting echoing throughout the nearby tunnels.
Should an insignia'd Zau'afin approach, a rolled parchment marked with a golden spider in his hands would be released.

*In West of Verallas a head of a drow male rests on a pointy stalagmite it has clearly been brutally severed from its belonging neck, the insignia of house Zau'afin has been branded into its cheek to those who knows the drow it would look like Mas'vyl Xarran*

Beltree Xarran, brother to the be-headed Drow -- and the one whom he was visiting the city to meet with -- was following after his kin that way when the familiar, disembodied face struck him with instant grief.
His harsh whispers filled the immediate area, "Fool! Just can't resist thrusting yourself upon my people! Can't you be happy with being equals!"
Some time passes, and a small rumor begins to spread that Beltree is seeking to find the culprits who murdered Mas'vyl. No doubt to discover the whereabouts of the rest of his body. He keeps his eyes open...

Israe comes across the severed head in in her travels. No words are spoken, as she would watch with neutrality, automatically assuming who left the severed head there. She finally sighs to herself, and moves on to the city where she comes across the orc. She would take the golden parchment from it, always on guard and listening to the nearby streets, before moving to quickly get off the streets as in her mind the odds are raised.

A rumor goes out, started by a wizard who frequants the Great Elixir, that an ambassador from Dev'lin and Zau'afin met the other cycle at the Great Elixir. The rumor goes that the Zau'afin emmisary, a skilled male wizard, was the first to arrive. The Dev'lin ambassador, a stunningly beautiful female, arrived later and said little and ended the dialogue by slamming her glass on the table and storming off angrily. The male wizard emmissary of Zau'afin paid the bill and finished his drink and meal at the bar.
If the barkeep is approached by a visitor and bribed, he will reveal that the emmisary of Dev'lin apeared greatly offended to have been dealing with a male wizard and demanded that next time a female be sent instead.
If bribed again he will reveal that the Zau'afin emmisary would only offer his Matron's terms after the terms of Ilharess Quilintha were made known.
The Political intrigue of this meeting has caused a stir amongst the curious in Sshamath. Most are waiting to see what happens and to see if Dev'lin can be negotiated with.

Rumors spread from Gloura's about a conversation between Ril'vyr and one of his students, the rumor clearly states Ril'vyr laughing at the Zau'afins and calling them dim-witted.. A sentence has been caught up in the rumor.. "The city is indeed of Honored Lolth, the Zau'afin ambassador said"

After what would seem cycles since the Dev'lin had been seen, they enter the Gloura's Wings, drenched in a sticky thick ooze, smelling of sulphur, hair and armour ashen with what looks to be bone dust. Ril'vyr carries a bloodied woven sack, silken white hair slipping through some of the holes as he flips a Barrirahel insignia, specifically, one of the First Daughter. Tedia plays with a heavily jewelled necklace around her neck, twisting it in her fingers between the glares at the males within the tavern.
Qilintha is seen to drink some of her blood wine, a rare occurrence indeed as she takes in the triumphs of their journey. She caresses a curved bone in her hands, ancient script running down its length, a look in her eyes that would suggest she has, and would again, fight to the death for it.
They all speak of the glory of Lolth, and how their tests should never end. They speak of the relic in hushed voices, and how it would never be lost again. They hint at what might be in the woven sack, and what uses might come of it, but mostly, of what is to come of their status within Lolth's eyes.

Amongst the thousands in the Sshamathan market metropolis, a new face was seen striding through the hundreds of stalls lining the trade district. He was seen walking for hours, shopping and viewing wares and was not as subtle as he thought for eyes also noticed that he was analyzing the stall locations, escape routes, setup and merchandise as well as eavesdropping in the daily news abuzz around him.
Keen eyes all over the market place were on him, one of which belonged to a drow that walked in shadows. After a while, the viewer approached the new face and as he walked by each stall, the bartering and noise of the marketplace dimmed down to hushed whispers, obviously a drow of some respect and power.
The two drow were seen conversing for some time but not much could be heard from their conversations. Every now and again names such as Valshar, Isendur and Irrtana were overheard and those hearing it took some involuntary steps back out of fear and respect.
Both merchants and citizens relaxed noticeably as the two male drow departed the marketplace and roamed Sshamath, almost as if the new drow was getting a tour.
