Rumors of a long winded fight between a veteran Ebon Blade and three mercenaries of Iron Company start to spread. After the dust had settled the Ebon Blade man stood over the body of one of the mercs with his foot firmly on the neck of the victim. Some say a deal was cut to spare the mercs life, while others talk of the origin of the fight. Something about a head of a necromancer and information about her body could be heard in the gossip.

Not long after the brawl had taken place, the head of a necromancer by the name of Batibat was staked in front of the Ebon Blade fort. Also a knife stabbed through a note was left on Soubar's bulletin board that reads..
"For those who seek information or the head, leave a note for Zeland. It won't be cheap."

A large commotion is raised along the southern route of Soubar nearby the Boareskeyr Bridge as locals might rumor of a large skeletal army marching towards the town from the distance. The scary force of three humanoid figures a legion of skeleton warriors and large devil spawn loom over travelers moving too and from the southern way moving along the bridge. The horde finally halts awaiting something with a smug competence of uncaring regards towards the locals and adventurers who would dare move amongst the roads.

A man finally walks towards the horde slowly from the direction of town... He would seem heavily warded with his mace drawn showcases the obvious signs of an eminent fight.

A few words were spoken. . .

Threats. . .

Promises. . .

Show-boating. . .

Non the less the end result was the the knight by name of Zeland fleeing for his life away from the forces along the route. The good out of it was the horde blocking the way had left afterward allowing the folk of Soubar to travel past the bridge freely again.

A few locals may have noticed a large group of heavily warded individuals leaving Soubar some time ago. Rumors may have spread that group spoke in mild tones about heading out on an expedition to collect hordes from dragons. . . 2 black dragons, a green, a red and a white.

The group would soon enough begin to leave town to set off on the expedition under the lead of a hin who is said to have tucked away a strange obsidian gemstone.

The inauguration of Marietta Starling as Dreadlord of Darkhold will commence in the courtyard, accessible by wagon from Soubar or Corm Orp, or through the Sunset Mountains. Knight-Commander Bob Thairo will perform public executions, and gladiatorial games among prisoners will commence afterwards.

It is open to the public.

Rumor has it that a group of adventurers were seen attacking a woman near the campfire at the Friendly Arm Inn. An eyewitness saw them surrounded her, provoke her into a fight, then attack her all at once, aiming to kill her within spitting distance of the eyes of the Inn guards.

The eyewitness says two of the adventurers identified themselves as Sia and William, Sia being an armored knight and William a blonde Luskan mage, who summoned a giant scorpion. Further, there was a hin with 'fey blood', and another woman wielding a warhammer and dressed in heavy armor with a symbol of ruby lips hanging from her neck. The other adventurers refused to identify themselves to the eyewitness, likely in guilt, he says.

The eyewitness further states that these adventurers claimed that the woman was a necromancer after she had escaped, and called him a nitwit for not believing their claims. He points out, however, that regardless of the truth of their claims, the adventurers still broke several laws including:
- Violence, involving harm to persons, murder, and all-but-Lawful Dueling, will result in imprisonment and possible banishment from the Lands residing under Duchal Law (as has been decreed). Violence in self-defense will be judged by the appropriate authority. Violence against the Grand Dukes, Officers of the Court and the City Watch and Flaming Fist, shall be punishable up to death.

-Disorderly Conduct, including disobedience, brandishing a weapon, disruption of official business, harmful spell casting, and summoning creatures, will result in fines or jail time depending on the severity, as determined by a Captain of the Flaming Fist.

- Spell casting — forms of arcane or divine usage of magic that result in physical harm or manipulation of the other, are forbidden.

Rumour has it that a strange purple bog of sinister magic has been spreading all across the northern sword coast region of late. The bog itself many would know as a bad omen only as a sign that the living dead are or were once following along to it's sweet scent. Within the veil of the morning some wandering travelers along the roads near the Boarskyr Bridge may have noticed this heavy purple bog linger around the bridge along with the smell of rotting flesh. Other news may have spread that they heard a subtle pulsating sound at dawn once traveling around the region to cross the bridge. A small shadowed silhouette of a halfling women and the disfigured silhouette of the unearthed began to take stride north from that time.

Skilled trackers or travelers wandering around the High Mor and Serpent Hills region may have come across a plethora of countless half eaten corpses all along both regions leaving a trail of purple bog and heavy desecration in the carnage. The trail of blood and gore would lead first through a ransacked a desecrated hob-goblin village and all along the lower region of the serpents hills.

Others may have sighted another purple bog entirely along the northern trade-way later that day.

Gossip and rumor may have soon enough begun spreading across Soubar quickly about two dwarves walking up on a hin nearby the auctioneers and charging at her with hostile intent swinging axes and rebukes at the hin in question. Rumor has it the hin was showing them up with ease at first. . . simply bobbing and weaving through their flurry of axe swings her direction without lifting a finger to fight back. It wasn't until the dwarves starting lobbing fire grenades around town did it seem like the hin was struck by three or four of them before fleeing the scene towards the Boarskry Bridge with a trail of smoke marking her escape route.

In stark contrast those who visit Kraak Helzak in the next few days might learn of a story circulating the local tavern of two Local boys chasing a halfling necromancer out of subar to the sounds of "Oh gods not the face!" Drunker insistence put forth that this was done to "Protect the Ale."

Under the glow of the morning some of the locals may have spotted a hin dressed in dark clothing public-ally known by the named of Batibat the Necromancer, struggling a bit to haul an over-sized piece of meat over to the wagon-man in town. Those keen to their knowledge of survival or anatomy may have noticed that the piece of flesh seemingly bigger then the hin would seem to be the liver of a black dragon. The liver itself would seem rotted and reek of spoilage and there would still be some acidic glands splattered all over it lightly corroding and melting the foliage the hin drags the liver over-top to get to the wagon-man in town. After a while of speaking to the wagon-man Bart in Soubar, Batibat and Bart seem to get into a verbal argument about something before she ends up sucking her teeth and continues to drag the rotten liver down the road south with a bit of a huff and puff. . .

Keen listeners may have heard the hin muttering to herself in her departure repeating the words in a daze. . .

"The finger of a Lich. . . The finger of a Mummy Lord. . . The fingers of a Witch. . . The fingers of Lord. . . The finger of a Lich. . . The finger of a Mummy Lord. . . The fingers of a Witch. . . The fingers of Lord. . . The finger of a Lich. . . The finger of a Mummy Lord. . . The fingers of a Witch. . . The fingers of Lord. . . The finger of a Lich. . . The finger of a Mummy Lord. . . The fingers of a Witch. . . The fingers of Lord. . ."

A man on horseback trailed by a spotted dog could possibly be seen on the horizon racing through the Fields of the Dead giving wide birth to any shambling deceased that made themselves known. Without warning the horse would would slow in its gallop as the man atop lifted his right leg over the back of the beast and on the ground before it made it's complete halt, the dog finding itself next to the man soon after.

He would be get down on his haunches and observe the earth before him, as a hand reached down to inspect the ground further. His head tilted questioningly. He then would then take the same hand that was upon the ground and motion to the horse with a single snap of the fingers. The horse would shift to start it's gallop as the man made no hesitation to reach up and find himself on its back once more in a single motion, racing across the landscape with the dotted canine in tow as he continued on.

"Blackrose" forces would continue their usual patrols of the "Northern Tradeway" to "Thundar's Ride" keeping Bandits and wildlife in check. They would only engage if they threaten caravans, travellers or to protect themselves.

A ranger and his partner are beginning to become a sight again on northern roads, particularly in the area of Thundars Ride and the Boareskyre Bridge.
