We can remove FS, hand to heart I have no qualms with that.
Some cleric builds are stronger in most regards anyway.

However if we go down that road for the reasons mentioned so far in this thread it begs for the removal of:
Orc as a playable race
Tanaruhk as a playable race
Genasi as a playable race
Warlock class
Every single one of our beautifully crafted and implented homebrew classes.
Every choice of selecting a deity that is at best questionable in the server timeline.
the list wold go on.

When we are down to the classes of:
Rogue
Wizard
Cleric
Fighter

Will everyone be happy then?

Cause that situation is exactly why I never even tested the Neverwinter MMO.

That is ready for implementation but it does not affect rest timers. What we're waiting on is a bugfix because it also increases the Quest timer to the same ratio. Unless ya'll want quests 1/month?
1/month sounds great to run quests. Just quadruple the exp gain. Kills two birds with one stone. You don't have to spend 2-4 hours running the same quests each week and you change the server rest timers if that turns out to be the decision. :)

That'll allow level 1 to reach level 4 without even leaving the city or doing any combat.

In the end It would be better to make quests one time thing or disable them completely, while boosting xp-gain overall or just introduce"xp stipend".

I play a favored soul. I think "we" are too powerful.

I think the class is a tad too strong and also the rp behind it hands down ridiculous unless you're playing single player, as thids said back there. Edit: I took the liberty of ignoring official favored soul rp and reinvented something more down to earth or tried to.

The best thing a server can do regarding this class imo is to disable it before being launched but it's too late for that! :D I don't think disabling it now is smart either, as it will undoubtedly upset people's established rp and I believe rp should take precedence over balance issues or builds, whatever.

I think the charisma/wisdom swap is kinda bad too at this stage because some favored souls have invested in items, some of them not really all that common let alone cheap, that we will probably not want to wear anymore with this change.

Can you guys decrease the class's power in other ways that don't fundametally mess with things? This would have been a good idea early on in BGtSCC's life. Take away the haste (no idea why this class has got to have self-haste 3x/day????) or the damage reduction?

Just my 2 cents, trying not to be biased but offering the point of view of someone who plays the class.

(A month after first post, only saw the thread now ^^)

As several people explained many times in this thread, none of those two is decreasing the power of FS builds. Not even slightly. Nobody would even notice.

Moreover, there are several character archetypes performing at the same level of FS as described in several posts.

This thread is going in circles, and the misinformation, for a game this old, is appalling.
Aelcar Lightbringer, Knight of the Merciful Sword: Disappeared after the victorious defense of the Gate against The Blight.

Olath M'elzar Valshar The Black, The Phantom Wizard: Retired Steward of the School of Necromancy and former Eye of the 7th Circle.

Well, this turned into a lively discussion! It'll take me a while to read through it all. Just about everyone has participated in it, too, so it makes moderation a challenge.

I don't do this very often, but I'm going to go ahead and lock this for now. This isn't a reaction to anyone's particular post, I just think it has run its course in terms of usefulness and is indeed moving in circles now. It might seem preemptive, but historically speaking when I have had a feeling a post needed to be locked and ignored it I end up always regretting it the next day or two when it's spiraled out of control!

No official statement or response of yet, but I'd urge QC to continue discussing this issue internally, and I'll touch base with the Lead Programmer and Developer and see what their feelings are on the matter as well.

Thank you all for your continued support of BGTSCC. If anyone has more to add or feels the thread needs to be opened back up for discussion, please ping me or Maecius here on the forums.
