Hi! Don't know if that's the right place for this issue, but it may be connected. I just reinstalled NWN2 (fully patched from GOG). I ran the game and logged in to the server, no problem. It starts downloading some 1.5 GB of PW files, but crashes midway (or at 2/3 to be precise) all the time...
It crashes while downloading the file "bg.tlk". It tries 3 times and then gives a message "RETR response: 550" and sends me to consult admins at
[email protected]. Is there still some problem with the server (in which case I'll be just patient) or should I seek the solution somewhere else?
Thanks in advance!

There are sometimes problems when trying to download some of the larger files required to play on the server. I had the same issues. Fortunately there is a link where you can download the larger files manually. It seems more stable to do it manually than to do it via the autodownloader.
You can find them here:
http://bgtscc.net/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=11116
IF you have any more difficulty, please post on the forum. Look forward to seeing you in game!

I've updated the linked thread for .tlk problems specifically:
Maecius wrote:If you're running into issues downloading the bg.tlk file, please download it from here:
You should put the .tlk file in your "tlk" folder. For most Windows installs, it's found under Windows (C:) > Users > Your Account > Documents > Neverwinter Nights 2. (My Documents > Neverwinter Nights 2)
Once you've placed the file in that folder, you should be good to roll.
As Ivan38Rus notates in another thread, if the "tlk" folder does not exist, just create one yourself and put the file inside it.

Downloaded the files from Endelyon's post and used the .TLK download as well, and I get an error trying to download the "faction_funhouse.trx" file when I try to log in

Yeah, server crashed again and seems to be hung. One of the issues you have to deal with on a Windows server.
Edit: well the server is not hung as I can still ping it, it's the server software that is not restarting.

Yep down for the count. Rust monster came up and ate the server apparently

I just wanted to point out I also need this file. Anyone willing to upload it please?

I put a new _faction_funhouse and new bg.tlk files in the ADL. No idea why they are causing trouble. Neither file has changed in six-plus months.
