NEVER! Druids only :P considering what we need to be a dragon it would be incredibly unfair to give it up as a spell.

Well... the stats can be different. We sorcerers just need a flashy dragon form to complete our high Charisma getup. :P

Wouldnt be fair. we have to have a huge wisdom score and take a feat to gain access to the shape and you need 30 levels pure druid for it to even be really worth it.... if you start handing that out to anyone who can cast shapechange.... No.. just no.

It's ok, Wolf, just give them the Juvenile form and stats.

Dragon Sorcerers are latent with dragon blood. It'd be awesome to have your heritage came full circle. What if it was an epic feat that Sorcerers could pick to turn them into a dragon (of their color and type)? Besides, it's not like we could cast spells when in other forms like Druids.

Ok.
When I added new forms to "magical beast shape" I also overhauled the existing ones. I did this by changing their natural weapons, fixing their hide properties and increasing their AC values slightly. They are now in the middle of dragon and elemental forms.

Since Cavestalker uses the phase spider form from "magical beast shape" it also got buffed through this change and became way too powerful.

You can argue, but I think vermin shape is not a cavestalker's main ability and it shouldnt be stronger than an epic feat.

The progression is now supposted to be:
STR CON DEX
6: 16 13 13
10: 19 16 16
14: 22 19 19
18: 25 22 22
22: 28 25 25

Despite the lower stats and due the magical beasts changes it should be slightly stronger then previously but not overpowered.
On the other side.... since I added vermin shapes to underdark druids we could simply remove this feat and grant surface dwelling cavestalker druids access to these vermin shapes.

Cheers.

So if the new progression is +3, then:

26: 31 28 28
30: 34 31 31

??

If we compared the new stats to the old ones:

26: 30,24,30
30: 34,27,34

What are the changes to "...natural weapons, fixing their hide properties and increasing their AC", and how do they make the Vermin Shape—in this case Phase Spider—slightly stronger?

I get interested in the details! Especially having a Druid/Cavestalker in the UD. Cheers.

No, the progression stops at 22.

Magical Beast Shapes got 2d10 base damage and their base AC increased to 8-12 (Elder Elementals have ~8 and Dragons 20). They also get Blind-Fight feat as a special due ethereal shifting & how it works in nwn2.

That means, if you want to be a Druid Cavestalker Vermin-Spider character, there is no reason to go beyond Cavestalker 10 / Druid 12?

Right now? Yes.

Not much different from the other 30 classes. :o
