Re: Order of the Radiant Heart Role-Play
The last few days have seen increased activity at the Radiant Heart Chapterhouse in the farmlands. More than a few people have been seen coming, and going from the Auxiliary's home.

A cloaked and hooded woman, known by some as Lady Althea Hartell, can be seen frequently back and forth between patrols and speaking with others in front of the stone gate. Her demeanor remains sullen, as she shares news of Alexander Marshall's temporary departure from the coast. Those who know it, would notice that she is wearing her former mentor's armor, as the cloak and boots appear to be too large for her feet and form.

For the Attention of Sir Anthem Arnmeiger of Torm.
Whatever it was, painstaking and laborious effort had gone into its manufacture.

Re: Order of the Radiant Heart Role-Play
A frightened courier arrives at the gates to the chapter house of the Radiant Heart Auxiliary deep in the night. Hastily, the messenger delivers a small package to the first guard he sees and hurries away.
A note was left with the trinket.
[parchment]The blind hand that reaches to far, returns missing fingers.[/parchment]
...a human finger lies at the bottom of the small box.

A letter arrived for Sir Anthem Arnemeiger stamped with ordinary red wax bearing the imprint of Helm, delivered by a pageboy of the same.

Re: Order of the Radiant Heart Role-Play
Upon the fading twilight hours of the early morning before daybreak a silhouette is cast in the moonlight of a tall humanoid figure with a dragons head. The woman's polished armor shining her path in the low light conditions. As the weary woman approaches the chapterhouse she motions with her head to the guard to open the gate in which he does. The gate closes behind her and casts the dragon's head aside upon the ground with a sharp grunt. Allowing herself to be overcome by the fatigue gnawing at her being, she falls to her knees hands placed firmly upon the ground. Minutes pass before she rises to her feet and enters the Chapterhouse itself.

In the dark of night, near the dawn, a messenger on horseback arrived at the Radiant Heart, carrying the emboldened colors of a templar from the Song of the Morning. He would stay for rest, and take his leave awaiting one more duty.

A finely crafted parchment is rolled and stamped with the seal of the Order of the Radiant Heart on the outside, tied with a yellow ribbon as a gesture of goodwill. It is personally handed to the messenger within the Order of the Radiant Heart's halls from Eldarian as he sees the man on his way.DM Wisp wrote:In the dark of night, near the dawn, a messenger on horseback arrived at the Radiant Heart, carrying the emboldened colors of a templar from the Song of the Morning. Re: Order of the Radiant Heart Role-Play
A tall sinewy figure stretches in the gatehouse, her hot breath clouds the cool winter air upon the dawn. More then one guard may look her way and she smiles. She steps lightly with a slop, slop upon the damp grass below her feet before emerging from the side gate to the south. Within a few strides she progresses into a respectable running pace, smiling as the light warms her face and a piece of mind is established. All the grief and worry fades into the blur of her silhouette streaks across the bridge. A tickle forms in her throat progressing rapidly into a cough which decenters her. She stumbles, barely tucking her head in time into a roll and another and another until she flops down upon her face. No harm is done, her face lieing upon the grass convulsing into a coughing fit. Taevermira takes shallow breaths trying to fruitlessly catch it before another fit hits her, this time spitting out blood. She traverses into a sukhasana, slowing her breathing and centering herself her eyes open sharply at sounds to the south where she pops up into a dead sprint.

Re: Order of the Radiant Heart Role-Play
Just after midnight, a fire-haired Sunite in golden, recently-battered armor approaches the Chapterhouse gate alongside the chaplain Brother Simon, the former bearing an unconscious man. His leathers are gouged yet he bears no lasting wounds, and he does not stir at all. The sheen of a cold sweat lingers on his brow, the after-effects of some disease or enchantment cured by the aforementioned monk.
After speaking with the ranking Order member on duty, the man is brought to a sickbed in the Chapterhouse sanctuary, where he does not awaken from his comatose state even days later.
The Sunite paladin departs soon after the warrior is tended, and returns every morning thereafter to check on his condition.

Two letters are delivered to the Chapterhouse, one for Brother Simon and one for Lord Eldarian. Both are sealed with a cobalt blue wax, and from the desk of Moonlady Rania Arowaven.

Re: Order of the Radiant Heart Role-Play
The sounds of wails may have echoed into the road near the Chapterhouse one recent evening when members of the Order of the Radiant Heart Auxiliary and other individuals gathered within the infirmary. Rumors already whispered of the man who is sequestered within the infirmary as a warrior who had been afflicted by powers that he strove to fight, but new tendrils of gossip seem to spread soon after about how the man's burden was lifted the same night that his screams rang out - through the efforts of a few good people.
Disturbing, though, is the talk of a ghostly woman's appearance inside the Chapterhouse that eve, threatening vengeance in retaliation for the man's freedom from the curse which held him.

Re: Order of the Radiant Heart Role-Play
A startling sight is viewed on the road before The Chapterhouse. Forgetting one of the trained guards of The Grand Dukes resides within, a careless vandal is found himself dragged into the road by his hair by a large man clad in black armor.
Producing a studded club the guard presents it to the clear view of his prisoner.
"Have you forgotten!? Look at it!"
"How short is our memory!? Have we already forgotten The siege of Bhaal's temple!?"
Throwing down the prisoner, Thedran would turn to the passers-by and local farmers who are watching. Though he'd plant a none to gentle boot on the vandal's back.
"When we as a city -cried- out against our morality to save ourselves!? When we turned on each other and ourselves! We cried out for the blood of a -child- to save our skins! We all knew fear, we all felt dread!
How well we remember our heroes! But how we have forgotten our sins!"
Turning he would drag his prisoner back to his feet ignoring cries for mercy and protest alike.
"I was a boy that shared the roof and table of -Sir William!- I remember!"
Presenting the club again "A coward looking to turn Bhaal's ire brought this to our -home! To beat a -child-, he turned his back on The Gods!"
He'd turn a savage glare on the gathering crowd.
"He wasn't alone though. . . -I- wanted it done." He starts to point at others in the crowd. "As did -any- mortal soul! Doubt and treachery are the weapons of our enemies! What normal man could -not- know dread before such enemies!?"
Turning a cold glare back to his prisoner he'd heft the man one-handed and catch him around the road, strangling off a protest.
"There is a key difference, however. . ."
Lowering the vandal to eye height he would speak in a clear and carrying tone, though his voice is no longer raised for effect.
"We didn't -do it-. Not all of us turned upon the child, the cowardly, the weak and faithless turned. The disgraces and weak-hearted turned."
Turning back to the crowd he would drop the vandal in a heap after the half strangling and turns back to the crowd.
"We remember how we -won- the contest! But we have forgotten how only some fought it. We have forgotten how many times that The Gods came to our aid, how our heroes rallied against darkness incarnate! Now when our faith is once again tested "The Gods have failed us" is the rally of the weak!"
Turning back to the man trying to crawl away
"The gods have not failed us. . .-You- have failed us! You have failed your family! You have failed your wife, children, parents. . ."
"YOU!" He levels a finger at the downed man "Have -FAILED- Baldur's Gate! I pray you are -damned- for it!"
Refraining from kicking the man, Thedran would return to The Chapterhouse.
