While patrolling with a small group of companions through the Fields of the Dead into the Ogre controlled Hills, we were attacked by a swarm of unusual undead. We battled through and continued into the Hills, where we were attacked by Ogre Mages and ambushed by a swarm of ogres. Many were falling, so I lead the swarm off to try to give the others a chance, but they still fell. Xoth managed to survive and after we regrouped we fought our way to our four fallen companions. I shouldered all four bodies of my dead companions and ran my way through the hills and the fields of the dead, chased all the way. Upon exiting the fields I ran into an assembled group of adventurers coming to the rallying call of the Fist. My companions were raised. Upon seeing the support for the fight and being physically and mentally exhaused, I returned to the Temple of Tyr to write this report and rest, assisted by Sir Dain.

Today while doing my normal patrol of the roads to the south, I helped an elf named Lomir by carrying his body to a temple to be raised, when on the way up the road I met with Hoihe and Laitae. Laitae revived Lomir and we began to talk after he was healed and feeling better. Lomir informed the three of us that the drow are responsible for comming to the surface and recently organized the Mountain Ogre's where sir Uriel and his companions were. Laitae said she was asked by the elves of Doran Amar to put up and alarm ward in the passage down in Durlags Tower.. it is where they all believe the drow are comming up from. Lomir the let it be known he is a follower of Shevaresh and wishes to find out where to find other "Black Arrow Hunters" to go and kill all the drow.

You honor me with your words Lady Elvina. It would be both an honor and a privledge to join the ranks of the Knights of the Silver Rose. It is the values of the holy Triad which manifest in the Code and which has been written on my heart. The out-flowing of such a condition is this Courtesy which I earnestly and eagerly embrace. I thank my Father and Uncle, may they be at peace by Torm's side, for teaching me this since I was old enough to learn.

On my way to the Fields of the Dead I encountered the man named Lomir which has been reported here as well. He was carrying the body of Uriel and asked for aid. I am thankful Uriel hears Lathander's call and came back to us. After some greetings Lomir told us about a necromancer he has encountered named Marance and his Master. Lomir did not have a name but only a description and that he used Infernal powers of osme kind, perhaps a devil or maybe a warlock. He also said he was warned by an unseen man to stop investigating "The Enclave". I am not sure which is refeer to since there are a few in the region. I will keep an eye out on my patrols in the area and pass on any information I find.

I also met two gentlmen named Sethos Warmonger and another man who did not give his name. Sethos is seeking to pledge to the Radiant Heart but has not been able to get in touch with their leadership. I will try ot seek out Sir Thiago or another member of the Radiant Heart so this man may gain an audience. Please if anyone else happens upon Sir Thiago or another Radiant Heart member lets ensure to help this man to join them.

After my patrol Squire Uriel and I also met a group of adventurers. A miss Shialla, a wizard named Zal and a dwarf named Brun. They told me of this necromancer named Marance and his cohorts. One a man named Michel who was seen summoning undead as well. I will have a more detailed listing of the others they described as well.

Today I was patrolling the roads travelling south from Baldur's Gate. Upon leaving Baldur's Gate I met with Miss Lilith as well as sir Xoth on the road. While we were conversing, one Vicho Steel III approached the party. He expressed interested in joining the Order of the Silver Rose. I explained parts of the code to him and gave him a copy to look over. He is a warrior of Tyr the Evenhanded. I told him I would mention his interest in the Silver Rose to my superiors and am doing so formally now. I am inquiring if the Commander, one of the Generals or Warrants may speak with him.

We proceeded down to the Friendly Arms Inn. At the Inn I met with two gnomish gentlemen, Delwynn and Nelwynn Burrows. One of the gentlemen was cursed with some sort of spoon. Thanks be to Torm I was able to remove the curse and aid the gentlemen.

To the Order of the Silver Rose, whom I hold in high regard:

I am sorry to relay that circumstances have changed one of my friends for whom I vouched before. Krumarth, the gray orc wizard, has become lost in spirit and while he has not yet spoken of destroying anyone, he is no longer a friend to other races.

As much as it hurts me to speak of this, I would advise caution should you run into him. He has taken to dressing in dark robes and hoods.

Sorry for the bluntness of this letter, but the pain is still very fresh.

Two evenings ago while traveling with the now squired Vicho, we encountered an outpouring of demons, succubus or something of the sort. We immediately engaged that with the others gathered and fought until a balor appeared. The balor cut us down but the Fist finally arrived to aid us. After the fighting the Fist mentioned that this was not the first time a gate had been opened at the campfire outside of he Friendly Arms Inn.

The next day I was traveling with Bo, Xoth and Miss Vel down to Nashkel. They had heard of a meeting for recruitment into the adventurers guild. It seemed a bit odd that the co-owner of the company was the same man I saw wearing red robes around the camp fire outside the Friendly Arms Inn.

Lastly, I had met up with Sir Mordalen and we were traveling north through the fields of the dead to patrol. When we entered the area infested by ogres we were greeted by the invisible Krumarth. I was weary when first encountering him but he agreed to release his wards once we found a safe place to do so. The sight we saw was disturbing. Krum has become very emotional, at several times he wished for death, even begged us for it. He seemed genuine in his wish to help his kin of the flesh but did not seem to understand the importance of mending oneself first. During the conversation Krum had mentioned receiving visions from Gruumish. I immediately informed him of the consequences of following such a path. At one point Krum began running around wildly claiming he smelled something, batting the air wildly. At one point he actually through a fireball out into the open, then Xoth, who had departed from us earlier appeared and cut him down. Luckily Sir Mordalen was able raise Krum from the dead as he bled out before we could heal him. It was after this point that his emotional state elevated into a suicidal frenzy, begging for death. We explained that we only use violence as a last resort and left him at this point.

Attention all Knights and Squires,

The other night in the northern farmlands a demon was summoned and a farming family murdered.. This is a horrible ordeal and one we must investigate further. Sir Uriel and Sir Seth were present for most of this and will be best able to write a full report on the occurance but please be aware a demon was fought there and a tiefling killed herself in front of the group that entered the house. The Commander and I hope to see the report so all may be informed. By order of the commander I post here the entry in the Journal that can be read that was found by our friend Kaltyra. I shall also ensure a copy is distribute to the Order of the Radiant Heart. This happened so close to thier keep and thier aid would be greatly appreciated.

"The damn sots of the Order of the Luminous Feather struck another one of our cells the other day - killed three more of the brotherhood and banished a hezrou back to the Most Holy Abyss. If our brotherhood is to expand in these parts, we will need to find a way to ensure that these demon-hunters do not cause us any further trouble. Also, note to self, we are out of cheese. Will have to go shopping later."

Ulgoth's Beard- Tonight while doing my patrol I went to Ulgoth's Beard. While searching the area I ended up comming across a very angry monkey who threw poo at me.. Then I climbed a ladder to find a sight that troubles me greatly.. Three cultists around a summoned Succubus.. I am uncertain if this has anything to do with the past few days events dealing with demons but I promptly defeated the cultists and sent the succubus back to its domain..

Patrol Log 134546

Friendly Arms Inn- I was about to head to the Mansion in the northwest cloakwood when I encountered a group of people who wished to speak to me. Mr. Zalvius, and Miss Shialla told me of a Half-Orc named Grog who seems to have fallen in with some bad people. Seems he has been traveling with a Necromancer. They told me how in the cloakwood they encountered this Necromancer with Grog and that the Necromancer had a Mummy servant. Miss Shialla said she was going to inform the Fist Captain so they are informed. The Necromancer is said to wear brown robes with spruce green coloring. I’d suggest that we ensure to keep up patrols in the Cloakwood for now just in case.

I also met a Mr. Beldore who I heard was from Candlekeep so I made sure to show him and everyone else the Journal that was found the other day at the site of the Demon summoning. He told me he would inform the Guide of Candlekeep for us and I thanked him for his gracious aid.

A dwarf named Nurster came up to me and handed me the armor and weapon of Vicho saying that Vicho had left the region for personal reasons. I am saddened by this and wish him well.

Cloakwood- Here I met two Dwarves and a Tiefling. One Dwarf a Mr. Nurster who I had previous met and another named Mr. Dielan. The Tiefling introduced himself as Mr. Xao and after a bit of talk I handed both dwarves a copy of our code and history since they expressed interesting in becoming squires of the Order. They asked me where I was headed on patrol and I told them to the Mansion in the Cloakwood. They decided to go with me and as I know it might have been too dangerous for them considering the trouble they seemed to have with the lizards, I know better then to argue with Dwarves. So we set off after I gave them some blessings for protection.

Mansion in Northwest Cloakwood- We entered and fought the animated armors and then took to the second floor. Again this place is filled with Vampires.. We then headed to the third floor where the Vampire master and its minions reside normally. It was a quick battle and there were no casualties. After searching the area we then went back to the second floor and destroyed all the vampires there as well. All in all it was a good cleansing and no casualties were incurred. After, I then took them to the Cloakwood because I needed to continue my rounds. They seemed in good spirits over such a grand victory over such vile creatures. I again blessed them with Lathander’s blessings and continued on.

Lion’s Way- I met Lady Elvina here and reported to her the events of my patrol at the time. We then headed back to the Friendly Arms Inn where we met Miss Mossy. Miss Mossy asked if we’d like to help her with the job for Thomas the Tanner up in the mountains. Lady Elvina sadly had to decline and retire for the evening but I went with Miss Mossy to aid her in Lady Elvina’s sted.

Troll Claws- After meeting our party of adventurers, Mr. M (he wishes to be refered to as only M.), Miss Mossy, Miss Lina, Mr. Anivoc (amazing with a bow), Mr. Kieriah and I we headed to the Troll Claws. Everything seemed to be going as normal until undead began to attack from the north. Once everyone had their hides some went to investigate. When I finally entered the area some of the party were already laying motionless upon the ground and a rather large Troll stood before the rest of us surrounded in magical power. It was a hard battle and in the middle of it Sir Alexander of the Radiant Heart showed to lend a hand. Together we all defeated the necromantic Troll. Soon as it was felled I began work reviving all those who had fallen and came to find an extra person had been hurt. A Miss Anu (whos name I found out later) had been caught up in the attack unawares. I helped heal her and she seemed very shaken up.

I then took the time to give Sir Alexander the Journal that was found so he could take it to the Radiant Heart and inform them of what happened the other day. I made sure to fill him in briefly as to those events as well. Sir Alexander then said that he had to hurry and go report what was going on to the Radiant Heart and headed off.

The rest of us all decided it was time to head back down the mountain in which as some were falling behind and we got a bit split up we came upon the other half of our group in the area which the Ogres have claimed. To my dismay Sir Alexander had fallen somehow.. I helped to heal his wounds and then for everyones protection cast a sanctuary so we could leave the Mountain safer. We then left and headed back to the Farmlands without further incident.
