After the priestess dismisses the summons to the filth of the streets, the guard is seen speaking to a pair of males hooded and clad in black ornate padded armor their velveteen cloaks russle about them as if animated darkness followed their every move. They seem to head in the direction of the wandering evangelist of lolth.

Shadows seem very much alive everywhere she looks, within the winding alleyways and streets that represent the innards of the Darkwood ghettoes...

As the Priestess makes her way threw the city Val'feng watches from the shadows with his men of the Charnag Maelthra. Seeing the shadows Val'feng nods to Tobias and Duneth to retrieve her .

This one will no longer make a sound .As the two Charnag Maelthra members fade from sight, and Val'feng stands in the shadows waiting for them to return.

While the greater forces are participating in great things, the night has been also quite active for a... less important individual too. In less groundbreaking matters too.

Eldebryn was about to go after some beetles. Even though they pose no challenge to him lately, he heard that their numbers were increasing due to the lack of patrols from adventurers and had to do something about it... preferrably with a few explosive spells. For good or for worse this night many newcomers made their appearance in Sshamath. He used this opportunity to show some of them the surrounding areas and the city itself.
Hopefully he won't have to deal with the damned beetles for some time... He was glad to answer question and spread the knowledge and ever more glad to absorb information because of his innate curiosity.
In the meanwhile he attempted to learn more about the preacher named Agramiir. He even contacted Olath whom he knows for some time to no results...
Should he find out nothing more, he considers the possibility of secretly following the Diviner into the Darkwoods either from her house or from Varallas.

At the end of the day and after a cup tea which did nothing for his weariness, the wizard lay down on his bed feeling exhausted. He was running all day, asking questions, answering questions, learning and teaching... In the end he had sense of fulfillment... one he didn't have in a while... similar to learning a new spell it was, perhaps even more. He was really that there were things going on even though he was not exactly sure why... he had to sleep now.

// one of the best nights for me, had some nice RP, a little fighting too, helping newbies, I typed more messages in a night than I did in a whole week :P . It's really nice to see some activity down there. we should keep it up and do even better.

At first he thinks it is probably not worth it, but in the end Eldebryn decides to visit the crime scene and try to gather some information on that matter. Knowledge can grant power after all...

Hello everyone,

I am glad everyone is having a good time, and keep up the RP, but I would just like to remind everyone what this thread is for.

This is a "Rumor"/"Common Knowledge"/"Something really big happened" thread for the City of Sshamath and the close outlying areas. While I, and I am sure others, appreciate your RP it should not be posted here unless it is something that would be ... well ... unless it fits into those former terms mentioned.

So things like,
Eldebryn wrote:At first he thinks it is probably not worth it, but in the end Eldebryn decides to visit the crime scene and try to gather some information on that matter. Knowledge can grant power after all...
wouldn't fit into those categories and would be better placed in something like a journal or character bio. This is not the place to tell your characters specific story.

But something like "
rock god wrote:rumors of a female body is found in the back allyways of the city
is just fine. It gives no omniscient information, like what she was thinking before dying, and is done in 3rd person.

So before you post in here first ask yourself, "is think something people would be talking about on the streets?", and then when you post do it in 3rd person from an unbias perspective with no more knowledge than what the rumor would contain, or what people would be speaking about.

Thank you.

Rumour has it that the young wizard was seen recently visiting the School of Mages along with a person known as Deldur, the latter one might be known because of his unusual choice in following the path of a monk. The two were seen entering an empty classroom and left after no more than 2 hours. As to what they discussed there are be numerous speculations, all of them with little certainty.

The Gloura's Wings fest hall is unusually full of people, unusually even for the best drinking establishment. The cause seems to be the pair of drow, male and female, sitting together. It was sighted and heard that they started playing the simple tunes on the flute, the female trying to follow the play of the more skilled bard. Soon, it went on fast, simple sounds becoming melodies that touched the hearts of tavern folk. Both of them had skill and talent, but the last song decided the victor. The grand final was the tranquil music of the jaluk's flute that stopped even the most violent drunk fights happening during the contest. The rumors are pretty heated about the relationship of the two. Some claim that they are rivals, competing for the title of the best artist, another say they are lovers who came to enjoy the drink and play songs. Few of the folk suspect they were bards specially hired by glouras to increase the rush of income on the house. However, the most observant of the listeners could feel that the skill of the musicians was too obviously different. It was decided that most likely they were teacher and student, judging by the simplicity of the first sounds. Visitors speculate that perhaps it was a birth of the new talented song spinner. While the female was clad in the bright light dress, the tutor's face was hidden by the red hood and mask. The rumor mongers claim that she is the same woman who is sighted in the caverns decimating the population of the oozes.

*At the Gloura's Wings, a pretty young jalil is enjoying the company of several males. She seems to be in the middle of telling some amusing tale as a chorus of laughter erupts every so often.* "So then this self proclaimed 'King of Monks' invites me back to the Bregan Daerth headquarters where he tells me that he is second in command! A gnome for vith's sake! After a brief lecture on the guild rules from someone who clearly didn't have a clue, the conversation takes a turn for the pathetic. He then asks me to help him find a girlfriend." *a chorus of laughter erupts again* "Well I'd heard enough so I told the little fool how lucky he was I didn't beat him to death for wasting my precious time, though now that I think of it I consider making him live with himself to be the far greater punishment. Then I stormed out. It was a short time later while I was out shopping that I was suddenly shot in the back. Fortunately I was only knocked unconscious and the guards managed to detain the would-be assassin long enough for me to question him. He said he had been hired by a gnome meeting the exact description of the little fool that I had spurned earlier that day. No doubt he had intended to keep me from sharing his humiliation with all of you."

Few travelers and spelunkers of the caves tell strange rumor about the disturbance in the caverns. The play of the flute can be heard in the darkness. It is speculated that it is either ghost or perhaps even gloura.

Rumours quickly spread throughout the city that four kivvil escaped from the cells of the school of necromancy. Dead guards strewn about the school, stolen alchemists fire, one of the kivvil missing a head and another an eye. No one quite knows what to make of such a far fetched story.

Members of the Charnag Maelthra were seen frantically searching the city, questioning everyone they met as to the whereabouts of four escaped kivvil. Guards asked anyone they encountered to remove head gear. Some say that the kivvil were caught and executed, but the most popular opinion is that they somehow managed to escape.

That same cycle, reports tell of a large dragon, black or red, depending on who asked, showing up south of Varalla's passage. Several members of the Charnag Maelthra and even those of House Sshamath are rumored to have marched out to battle the beast. Casualties are said to be high, but all reports indicate that the dragon was brought down in the end.

A note was left on the place for the news and posters. It said:

"Lost a flute. The finder will get reward for bringing it to me. It has an insignia of the House on it. Leave message on the note, please."

A rumor spreads about the streets that three drow and a svirfneblin killed four illithid and a massive, mind-controlled umber hulk in the caverns west of Sshamath.

The tavern talk suggests that these illithid were attempting to infiltrate the city, for reasons unknown.
