Re: Rumors & RP of Darkhold
A man in black armor, cloak, and masked hood stood in front of the gates or darkhold. He reveled his face to the guard and showed him his Symbol of Bane that's around his neck and under his armor. He then handed a sealed letter from Zhentil Keep to the guard with instructions to take it to his superiors.
"To whom it may concern,
We have sent this cleric, Michael Krown, to you. May he serve you and the black hand well. He also goes by the name Mick.
Sincerely,
'Official People' "
He then stays around for a bit to see if any one is free. He works on the training dummies for a bit and then decides to take the caravan out to sobur.
((If there are some issues let me know and ill adjust them. Still coming up with a bio. I like to rp a bit first. Hes only 4 right now.))

Kythorn 13, 1351 DR,
One of Darkhold's resident Black Cloaks, a Sky Mage, lodges a complaint with Dread Lord Xavier Aylomen regarding the absence of another Black Cloak from the Fortress. According to rumor the complaint alleges that Darkhold's aerial patrols have been thrown into disarray. There is gossip that it may be a ploy for personal advancement, that the missing mage had an unfortunate accident, or that the complaining mage is simply a daft fool.

Three Skymages are seen taking to the ashen skies of Darkhold crouched astride hippogriffs. They offer no explanation as to their departure and most onlookers chalk it up to a routine reconnoitering of the Sunset mountains. The detachment returns to Darkhold two days later, but they appear to be one colleague short. Whatever befell the third rider is anyone's guess as the novice Skymages refuse to answer any questions even under duress.

Re: Rumors & RP of Darkhold
Merchants and travellers coming by way of Darkhold begin speaking in hushed tones of strange occurrences within the shadowed keep.
There appeared to be some form of commotion late one night before the Dreadlord Xavier burst from the stables with a contingent of Ebon knights, heading east with scant a word.
As the dust settled it would appear according to whispered rumor, that Selengil Harkonis had been left as the new Dreadlord of Darkhold.......At least for the forseeable future.

Visitors to Darkhold ponder the events that caused the ramparts' latest ornament to dance the hempen jig. Different colorful rumors circulate the courtyard but the prevalent one would have the man provoking and attacking Ambrose on two different occassions within the same tenday and somehow managing to die twice. If only all enemies of the Black Network had such fortitude to endure punishment. The Whistler wrote:A rider in dark garb is seen dropping off a burlap sack outside the temple of Helm in Nashel at twilight. As soon as it hits the marble stairs the container jingles with the telltale sound of metal and the twine is unravelled, revealing several religious paraphernalia within. Some of them defaced but most still intact, they bear the upright hand of Helm. Someone might recognise them as bestowments belonging to Ronin Marcus.

Starting as whisper of a man clad in black armor cut down the corpse of who was rumored to be Ronin Marcus. Cut down was a nice way of putting it, he's decaying body was cut loose from the rampart walls hitting the ground with enough force that they could hear bones crack some would say. While other would say they could see limbs break off due to the force in which it hit the ground. One thing that was agreed on was that the body was tied to a horse to be dragged of to who knows where.

Re: Rumors & RP of Darkhold
Word travels by way of Darkhold that there has been a stirring within the fortress.
The keep has become a flurry of activity with workers, servants, and traders flittering about like bees. A great number of caravans came to and from the keep, shipping a myriad of as yet unknown goods, though some whispers on the road hint that they may contain living creatures of a foul sort.
Amidst the bustle of activity among the varying traders, carpenters, and engineers set to work. Each seeming to have their own little projects scattered throughout the Keep's courtyard. What they were actually making was still as of yet a mystery. Some traders swear they are making market stalls..Another may whisper that they are cages for the beasts they have brought. Others speak in hushed tones that perhaps they plan a grand human sacrifice to bane.
Regardless of rumor and hearsay, the Zhentarim were definetly preparing for something.

Re: Rumors & RP of Darkhold
After many days of stirring activity and general busywork within Darkhold, the reason for such a fuss becomes clear as word spreads out along the coast.
A great celebration is to be held at the arrival of the High Priest Fzoul Chembryl, lord of Zhentil keep.
Strange as it seems, word is spread that the event is to be an entirely public affair. All being welcome to attend, the day being rumored to involve feasting and games and even a makeshift market of sorts is purpoted to be present. Word even spreads of prizes for some of these competitions...Of particular note perhaps is the rumored monster fighting competition that is to take place.
((Hello all! Just to clarify this event is at present slated to take place on sunday the 27th
at roughly 16:00gmt. The festivities are open to the entire server so come and join the party.))

Re: Rumors & RP of Darkhold
A Celebration of Tyranny

Rumor spreads like a wild firestorm in a dreadful drought throughout the Western Heartlands and Sword Coast regions that none other than Fzoul Chembryl, the High Lord of the Zhentarim and Zhentil Keep, Tyrant of the Moonsea, and High Priest of the Temple of Bane, was soon to be arriving in the Far Hills mountain fortress of Darkhold, near the Sunset Mountains at the eastern edge of the Western Heartlands, with a celebration entirely open to the public to feature High Lord Chembryl's infamously charismatic and tyrannical presence.
It is even alleged that as part of the festivities that feasting, monster pit fighting challenges, games with prizes, and a goods market are to be established to entertain all guests of Darkhold. Many gossip that though there has been a decent number of interesting and entertaining public events in the region over the past few years, there has never quite been, nor may there ever be again, an event quite like this one, especially one held in such an imposing mountain fortress location! Many not affiliated with the Zhentarim from the Western Heartlands, even those that would not even think it in other circumstances, seem to speak about possibly attending Darkhold for the occasion. For surely, many say, it will be an event to remember, member of the Black Network or not.
//
-Event to take place on Sunday, September 27 at 16:00 GMT on the Darkhold in game map as said by the above Zhentarim player guild post.
-As the Zhentarim player guild has decided to allow this to be an open event IC, please keep in mind that all of the Laws of Darkhold IC still apply IC as well as reasonable IC expectations for how trouble would be treated by the Zhentariam guard at Darkhold with so high ranking a Zhentarim guest visiting. So, if a character ends up arrested by the Zhentarim guards at Darkhold, expect a likely permastrike is incoming for your character. DMs will be present at the event to enforce this. The Darkhold map is one of the most stunning in our server, so if you have not been before OOC/IC and normally would not have IC reason to go there or risk going there, this may be your rare IC chance to do so!

((( OOC - Enchanting Rules

No work on +4 EB or +4 skill items.
Must have available "slots", up to 4.

Re: Rumors & RP of Darkhold
The ominous citadel continues to bustle with activity for several more days after the festivities finally end.
Droning winds carry forth the song of steel pounding on steel as the black Zhentarim forges cough up shields and arms by the dozens every day. In the courtyard, collumns of Zhentilar are drilled mercilessly day and night by their superiors who callously disregard the biting Uktar cold. Even the outriders show increased signs of activity, proactively hunting down roaming bandits who lost their western hunting grounds to the undead and putting them to the sword.
It was as clear as day that the Zhentarim were preparing for something yet again, although their intentions looked much less benign this time around.

Sometime during Nightal, 1351 DR
The Year of the Crown
The Year of the Crown
As the sounds of metal upon metal spread through the courtyard, a lone figure appeared on the balcony overseeing the Zhentilar training grounds. His one-eyed gaze swept the courtyard briefly, taking note of the men and women committed to their regular routine. Finally a sharp whistle broke the clamour, majority of the eyes focusing upwards to the balcony.
"Those of you assigned to The Network, pick up your blunt weaponry from the smith. The rest of you, clear out and return to your regular duties."
The man proceeded to descend the side stairs, meeting the curious glances of those remaining in the courtyard. The first Zhentilar who showed a hint of disobedience ended up with a bloody lip, at that moment the others in his vicinity felt the despair that is brought upon those who cross the one-eyed man.
For the remainder of the day the group trained extensively with their blunt weaponry, the one-eyed man instructing them in the most effective techniques and ways to combat undead. Over the course of the next several days the same scene could be witnessed at the training grounds. Finally, the exhausted Zhentilar were granted a single day of rest.
DM Dialectic wrote: *The training of some of the Stormwatch preparing for the Corm Orp operation seems to have paid off, no one fell out of rank or disobeyed an order. Obedience from the training regiments appears to have been fruitful. Some gossip whether the Outriders will trained as harshly as their cavalry units cycle into patrolling around Corm Orp.*
****
In the weeks following the defeat of undead at Corm Orp, Darkhold's outriders could be seen extending their patrols all the way to the small hamlet, though they would keep their distance from Corm Orp's own patrols for the most part. From time to time they would be accompanied by a one-eyed man riding an Amphailan black charger. His full plate and lack of military markings would set him apart from the rest of the outriders. Unlike the outriders, he would occasionally stop by the hamlet and pass through the gates, rejoining the patrol after some time.Lord Maximilian Blackthorne - retired

A tall man in his early 20's wearing black dragon plate is seen approaching the main gate at Darkhold. After a brief discussion with the guards and Selengil Harkonis the man is escorted into the Temple of Bane. A full day passes. A vigilant observer will notice that the man is not seen leaving the Temple of the Lord of Darkness.

Re: Rumors & RP of Darkhold
Rumours can be heard amongst the caravan drivers who visit Darkhold of its robust security measures.
Just over a tenday or so ago, the alarm was raised in Darkhold when, during routine searches of one of the trade caravans entering the fortress, a stowaway is discovered.
Mysterious, black-armoured elites stand watch over the gates, and were able to spot the dark clad man hidden under a wagon, preventing his entry into Darkhold. However, he escaped into the shadows, fleeing the citadel before the Greyfeathers on the towers could shoot him down.
The day after, the Pereghost is seen commending the gate guards. The leader of the troop of Greyfeathers on the walls, however, is subjected to twenty lashes for failure.

A group of elves travel to Darkhold, far away from the walls. A body was laid on the trail with the intension for it to be found.
Whoever finds the body, there would be a message addressed for the Dreadlord
// PM me whoever finds the bodyand whether he wants to forward the letter.
