I'm not who I RP as either. IRL, I'm not a hot little 20 year old girl who is a nympho for other girls. I'm a 30+ man who enjoys RPing with other 30+ men who RP as hot 20 year old girls for ERP purposes.
woooooow ahahahaha!

Well, considering you've had me quoted in your signature for a long time now I figured you'd be putting a ring on my finger soon.

i've made a few good rl friends here
we make rl friends speaking oocly alongside our ic play and conversations
this is one aspect i truly enjoyed in pnp. the fun ooc chatter about what's goin on ic
some prefer to keep ooc chat to tells, which is understandable, especially during dm events. but the downside is that interaction can only be had on a person to person basis, rather than group basis
i feel it's a lot easier for folks to understand the difference between ic and ooc if they've gotten to know "the person behind the curtain"
sadly, for some, if they don't know the player personally, and have had no ooc interactions with the player, it seems challenging for them to separate the two
if any negativity has come from this, don't take it to heart. we're here to play a game and have fun together

I agree with his. The small ooc interactions make all the difference between seperating the players from the characters they play.

I always thought it has been good form to message somebody ooc after intense character resentment. Just give them a pat on the back, tell them you appreciate them for their IC hatred. Conflict is the spice of the game for me. That one message of "Thanks for the RP that was fun!" can clear up any ooc: "Why do they hate me!!!". It doesnt work all the time but its nice to reassure people we are a community. Even if somebody's character plays the fool, you need the fool in the persistent world to really see who the sages are.

While we share some similarities, as might be expected, her flaws are 1) listed in the biography that I've created, and 2) well-defined and well-established. When my PC reacts to situations and people, it is because I as a player am thinking, "Based on my concept, and based on the circumstances of her life at this moment, what would she do in this situation?"
Players, please stop OOC bad-mouthing, blacklisting, ignoring, and removing from Skype the players of PCs with whom your PC does not agree. Taking the IC actions of a PC as some sort of personal affront isn't conducive to the shared story we're supposed to create here. Be mad IC - sure! But please remember that there is an actual living, breathing person on the other end of any vitriol you direct at someone else over #firstworldgameproblems.
Now seemed a prudent time to revisit this key fact and perhaps remind others of it. A little OOC kindness, even if it's just a simple /t thanking the other person for the RP, goes a long, long way.

Nope that would still be ConvolutedLine, at least he stopped some time ago.
As for the kindness, I couldn't agree more. And if I forgot to give a good rp from time to time, sorry.
I enjoy all your plots be it evil, neutral or good immensely lately. And conversation with a purpose, thank you.
I remember some campfire dialogues some years ago, which were really a bit embarassing, but I haven't experienced any of this silliness at all lately.

Has 5 characters gets confused on rp, the worst is when I go from dwarf rp to orc rp....and vice versa, but I mostly player arch-type characters, where their stories are not super deep, and I don't discuss what I heard for breakfast for 1 hour of rp.
but to each their own, to op you will find there are some players that take stuff way to seriously...I usually avoid them if I can, but when you get into larger events(meta type) it gets kinda hard, and if the other player pushes other players to ooc ignore you, that when it gets bad and I would let the dm team know about.
Orcs prolly get it the worse, but it is what it is, they are orcs afterall
my 2 cents
