Question:
What was the IG time to RL time adjusted to, actually?
I was wondering about that in conjunction with the new 5-hour Server reset, because, whenever the Server restarts, it is nighttime. And recently, it has seemed like it is ALWAYS night time, IG, when I log on.
Just a coincidence, and an odd perception, on my part? Or...?

As a primary UD player who has had reason to go to the surface I would personally prefer if the nights could be longer.
I definitely understand the need to have multiple day/night cycles per average game session, but having it too short can be just as limiting as having it too long. I voted for the 6:1 option because I think a little bit longer would be enough without going overboard.
EDIT: Oops, didn't realize just how old this poll is. Oh well, my vote still stands.

I believe it's currently running at the "most popular" level:
15 RL-min/game-hr.
As of last update.

This then translates to 20 IG hours per reset every 5 RL hours.
So we are not seeing a full 24 hours before the reset, which always resets to night time hours.
So...not to be too suggest-y here, but would forcing a Server Reset at 6 hours, not make every reset a Full IG day? And...maybe that would be kinda cool?!

I like that idea.

If we can improve the module's stability, we might be able to do that. I've talked it over with Endelyon, and we don't think it'd be a safe move right now.
Not because it's not a good idea, but because we've finally got the crashes somewhat under control. And pushing back the server resets, even by an hour, before further stabilizing efforts, might negatively impact the server's stability.

You work for the Lords of Darkness and wish for Everlasting Night!!!
JUST KIDDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Is there any chance that there is a switch to flip where when the Server resets—as it exists now in the time ratio—it is morning?

No please i like my night!
Best would be that it remembers the time when it shuts down and restarts at the same IG time

This is also a fantastically excellent idea!!! Is it even possible to script such a thing?

Yep, time adjusting persistence has been around for a while in the NWN sphere.

^ I'd be fine with it. Can you talk it out with the others on the dev forums, particularly if you know a way to do it, AoS? Unless you mean it's only currently possible on NWN1?

I implemented and committed the code for this to the SVN last night. Time will be persistent across resets to within 4 minutes ingame time (1 minute realtime), whenever that update makes it to the server.

It's provided via NWNX for both games.

Returning player here...
I don't know exactly what changed since last year, but the fact is that it's always night for me: in the last few days I've never been able to play in daylight, and it's getting really annoying...
