Lucia considers Bentley's update on the man's condition, and searches her memory for any possible enchantments that could match the man's symptoms (Lore Arcana: 11). "Does the healer have any thoughts as to what could be the cause of this enchantment?"

*Edit - Corrected my Arcana skill. Hard to check these things when the server is going up and down, and NWN2DB doesn't have all the correct skills...

Jarrol looks about and finally, with a great *harumph* that blows his moustaches up from his lips speaks to anyone willing to listen.

"Well, I do be feelin' like we owe that feller ta find out if'n there do be any truth ta his story. Seein' how he do be out o' commission, s'pose it falls ta us ta be findin' his genie an' wishin' his arm back. I do be willin' ta give it a go, alone if need be or with ya'll if'n ye want. "

Lucia turns her attention from the innkeeper when Jarrol speaks. "Oh, I am up for the adventure, so long as we're all agreed that his wish comes before any of ours."

When the barmaid came to announce she'd retire to her room for the eve, Maura turned to her for a few late requests. From the kitchen, traveling provisions in form of food that would not spoil for long journeys for a week, be they dried, smoked, pickled, honeyed or salted and her waterskin refilled with mead. What journey to be made, there was little to follow or prepare in certainty. Not a stranger to long trips, supplies were gathered into her backpack until it met satisfaction before she returned to the group.

"Attempt to wake him by morn, and if he does not then the enchantment on him is strong indeed and best left in the healers hands. More meticulous examination of the ring can be performed once I had a rest and a little time with my spellbook should there be need of it, though I personally do not think so." She held up a golden loop in hand indicatory that returned into her backpack.

While waiting for the others to prepare, Kadace studies the ring, moving about the tavern to get the best sense of direction, before moving to the door, and looking over his shoulder at the others.

Leave the man to those who are able. Either attend me and determine the cause of this, or remain behind and tend to him, or search his rooms. Regardless, make your choice.

With that, Kadace heads out the door, ring still wrapped up in cloth

\\Wait a minute, wait a minute, can we get some clarification, here? I thought Jarrol got to the ring before Kadace could.

After seeing the commotion die down and his companion's begin talking of searching and preparing, Druegar spits on the floor and heads outside. As he walks out the door, he rumbles to Jarrol;

How'l if you need meh' and fetch me before das be leavin'.

He gives him a nod and heads out to get some rest and meet his contact from the night before.

Lucia rushes to catch Kadace before he can disappear out the door.

"Would you hold a moment? Wait! It's been a long day, and it's yet late. I suggest we rest the night and wait until the morning to depart. Better to start fresh and provisioned than to rush off weary in the middle of the night!"

Standing ready at the stairs, Damian scoffs at the notion of waiting but seems to accept it as the moment of dissatisfaction passes.

"In that case. I suggest we meet tomorrow at sunrise. All who wish to partake... make your affairs in order, restock and be ready for departure at first light. If any of you want to do further details... I'll ague that you can inspect the guys room..."

With that said he goes to get some shut-eye till departure.

Muttering, Kadace agrees, reluctantly, to wait till the next morning before departure. That statement given, he returns to the bar, places the ring upon it, then starts to walk out once more.

We shall gather tomorrow then, and determine where the origin of this irritation is.

As Kadace speaks the final words of his departure, the ring, previously silent, now resumes its earsplitting hum

Jarrol snatches the ring off of the bar and drops it unceremoniously into the tankard of water to deaden the hum. He eyes Kadace suspiciously through one squinty eye as he makes for the door. Finally he turns to the remaining participants.

"I'll be holdin' the ring right 'ere till we do be ready ta make way in th' mornin'. Any of ye do be welcome ta stay 'ere with me an' drink away the last few hours o' darkness afore we ser out."

With that said, the burly, uncouth dwarf makes his way back to the bar and motions for the flow of ale to continue.

With a semblance of a plan for the morning in order, Lucia arranges for her provisions, before retiring to her room to rest and prepare her spells and scrolls for the morning.

Bentley had returned. Maura resolved to speak with him afore the days end, for there it was possible more answers that could be revealed. Would the man not wake by dawn, what travel plans the man had or notes penned on this genie Castle contained in his room, would surely be of help. Maura spoke quietly with Bentley on the matter.

Glancing over to the contained ring, she turned to the dwarf her last few words for the night.
"Should it become unbearable, drown it deeper."

She retired to her room for rest.

Jarrol grumbles to himself as Maura makes for the stairs...

Think I do be just drownin' meself deeper. Bwahahahaha!

He erupts in rowdy laughter, reaching for more ale, his hearty dwarven constitution limiting whatever minor reprieve the drink provides.

You know its within walking distance -- but not sure how far

As far as I'm aware Kadace got to the ring first:
Kadace wonders off to collect the ring being careful not to touch it
Eventually two guards come in to help Bently move the body, Maura wonders off to chase the barmaid while Lucia ponders the sleeping body.

To Lucia
Hidden: show
Watching the guards move the body -- you think hard and come up with several ideas onto what this could be. The ring could be a possible cause -- though you find this unlikely. You conclude it could either be a type of shock or coma, but are unable to see any wounds which confuses you.
Bently then turns to Lucia as the guards carry out the body "I dunno" he says "Best asking the healer - not something I dabble in, her tent is just outside" he motions to the door before briefly looking at Maura who is talking to the barmaid.

To Maura
Hidden: show
The barmaid looks very tired and over worked but she smiles poiletly and wonders off into the back collecting several supplies, bread, cheese, wine and a few flasks of water. "Be careful" she tells you about to say something but is cut off by a sharp voice from across the room
"Don't worry about it lass, i'll pay for it" Bently tells the barmaid from across the room, who is handing Maura some supplies. The barmaid softly nods then retires to her room. The sleeping body is then taken outside into the night. Jarrol begins to speak as he finishes Bently adds: "The way I see it lad, that ring be the only lead -- as long as you bring it back, I see no harm in it" Bently then nods at Lucia "Make sure ye all come back alive though aye? Don't want any more of you in the healers tent"

Maura begins making her way back to you all with a bag of supplies carefully tied together in a sack. Kadace remains fairly distant staring at the ring, spinning it in his hand and studying it very carefully not adding very much input.

To Kadace
Hidden: show
The soft hum continues as you point the ring in different directions - the hums tone shifting and changing slightly as you do. It very mildly vibrates your fingers. Your instincts tell you this ring is pretty harmless but something inside you also seems to be telling you to stay away, throw the ring and run for the hills
Bently watches you all as you group back together and half nods "You can stay here for free tonight lads -- under the conditon you all come back alive, aye?"

You all make your way to your rooms upstairs, it is late -- and suppringly quiet now, atleast quiet for a night at the Inn. Maura stays behind with Bently to chat for a brief moment while everyone else departs, some more eager than others.

To Maura
Hidden: show
Bently tells you the man was an odd one - and claime do have been to this crazy castle once, but wanted to go back to wish for his arm to be restored. There always was something off about him -- Bently expresses, but he was a paying customer. He also tells you that the castle was east of here, through the woods -- hidden within the trees, but by that point he was normally drunk and mubbled rubbish. Bently returns back behind the counter wishing you goodnight after a good hour of chatting.
The rain can be felt hamering on the Inn roof, though in a with a soft repetive tap. Some of you may find it easy to sleep - while others may not. Nether the less, the night soon passes bringing with it a new day. The sun shines through, partly covered by the clouds and the Inn is once again full with new people all drinking away, chating, laughing and shouting below.
