And you can only take Epic Dodge at level 27 because that is the earliest point that you can have 30 skill ranks in Tumble skill.

In one sense, the Dodge feat is so horrible that its Epic Variant don't even want it as a prerequisite.
Haha. Ok.
Well I thought it was needed. Bummer.

By the way. This is description of Dodge : The character gains a +1 dodge bonus to AC against attacks from his current target or last attacker.

As I read it. If your target attacks you you get +1 to AC. Right.
But if someone else attacks you. He is last attacker. So you get +1 to AC as well.

No mater how hard I tied to find critic against Doge feat, you are only ones that ever expressed any thing against it.

Do you have some mechanic , code , screenshots ... whatever. To prove this ?

Really? Never heard anyone speak in favor of Dodge... Do a search on the DB and you will find that any decent build that has Dodge also has a PRC that requires it. There is no such thing as a power build with Dodge feat and no reason for it beyond the feat itself.

And no, if it was +1 to AC against your target AND your last attacker than it would really just be +1 AC...it's not. If you have an enemy targeted (i.e. their picture in the top of your screen) that's who you get +1 AC against. If you don't then it's last attacker. However, the issue is that if enemy 1 attacks you, then enemy 2, then enemy 3....the next round it starts over and you really won't ever get +1 AC Against any of them...so in my experience it only works if you target an enemy.

Any feat that only gives a conditional +1 AC is terribly bad when you consider LoH which gives an unconditionaly +1 AC and saving throws, Armor Skin +1 stacking with everything AC, Ranger Protective Ward for +1 or +2 AC depending on Ranger levels, and Two Weapon Defense which basically is like having a small shield while wielding two weapons.

I can't provide any code or anything, though maybe someone else can... It's really common knowledge that Dodge is not worth a feat except as a pre-requisite though. It's one of those things that works well in turn based PnP, but frankly even in PnP I would never select it unless required to.

It is kind of the same deal with the Mobility and Spring Attack feats. If your build does not require those feats, you should never take them. Mobility might have some use for a caster, but they can just cast in defensive casting mode and not provoke attacks of opportunity. Thus the price tag of two feats is just not worth it. Not to mention how enough points in Tumble just flat out deny all attacks of opportunity from moving, thus the price tag of three feats is just way too much.

Oh, and while Tumble denies attacks of opportunity, it does not deny attacks of mob range. Hence a fast moving mob can run up to you and land regular hits even if you are moving away with a Tumble skill of 99. This is why people go for Epic Dodge on sneak builds.

And yeah, all sneaks should take Wild Child as their backround trait. It is +1 to move silently and hide.

Yes. Well, as I said the boat has sailed. I got dodge feat. Very early. Should have taken two weapon defense. But I thought dodge is needed for epic dodge...

I am sure I will manage
