Re: Conditional Examine

Just chiming in with my approach. I only put simple details in normal examine --- dark-haired, red-eyed, half-elf, eastern Faerûnian features, the way she carries herself, etc --- so people who glance there and ignore conditional examine can still get the gist of my character. I tried to keep it brief because I understand that some players don't want to read a lot of text.
Conditional examine has a more intricate description, and I wrote far more unconditional text in it than otherwise. I made it a point to keep the DCs 20 and under, and the things that are 20 are intentionally hidden details. 15-20 ranks in a skill is still a significant investment, and I feel it's important to be inclusive of lower level/skill rank players that are curious about your character. DC 40+ stuff is like fighting a god's avatar in pnp.
Barring changing the algorithm to account for skill bonuses, which would be preferable, is it possible to at least program the lore skill checks to account for a take 10? I love the system and I'm very appreciative of its implementation, but the lack of scaling skills is a bit of a hindrance.
