The man behind the bar and guards around would all be happy to talk about the Baldestone Foundation with the girl. She would easily learn that Bladestone is indeed a martial academy and they train most weapons and styles. Right now their rapier specialist is Lylan'Synor also known as Lilly, but they recently exapanded into magic training as well with miss Niyressa. Derik and Adrian, specialized in shield style and small weapons respectively, are also among their teaching staff currently. She can enroll as a student or pick classes whenever she feels like it, so there is good flexibility. As such, the elven girl is told that she can feel free to approach any of them or leave a letter. Also she is more than welcome to stay at the inn in of their rooms, if she wishes.
Any questions may be directed to Derik Ranloss.Rules for the Martial Tournament:
- 4 wards allowed, to be cast before Fight is called unless they are VERY short duration/instants. Must be self-applied via wand, scroll, or own abilities.
- No dispell casting allowed.
- No grenades/area weapons. They hit the spectators.
- Stealth may be used (HIPS) indefinitely but counts as 1 ward.
- Shapeshift may be used, but counts as 2 wards. Shapeshift may not be combined with Growth. We don't have the room, sorry.
- Wards may be refreshed 1 time during the fight each. (IE: if mirror image/stoneskin gets hacked through. EDM wears off, etc.)
- No copies, simulacrums, etc. This is a fight to see how well YOU are martially, not your magic.
- You MUST (even when in stealth) remain in the combat square.
- Using Fear effects to cause you opponent to run outside the combat square will NOT disqualify them. But if you chase them outside, it /will/ disqualify YOU.
- Be aware that the Magic User Tournament is coming up afterwards at a later date to showcase all your spells and prowess there. This is for hitting people with chunks of (usually) metal, sharpened or otherwise.
