Update to previous posts for anyone that might be planning shortspear builds for the 100% RCR:
Shortspears actually
won't be finessable, despite being set to Tiny. This is because Weapon Finesse is hardcoded and you can't add new finessable weapons. This is more appropriate (shortspears are not meant to be light weapons). Because Weapon Finesse does not work for them, I may reconsider allowing them to be dual wielded as it will likely keep it rare enough that it doesn't matter (also apparently setting them to mainhand only only affects your ability to wield two of them at once, and not if you can put them in the offhand with another weapon type in the mainhand, so that problem isn't fixed anyway).
I can also confirm from testing:
Duelist Precise Strike
will work with shortspears. But as they cannot be finessed, I'm not sure I see many shortspear duelists in the future.

(although some stormlord/duelist combinations might be interesting for damage output, especially if I allow them to be dual-wielded)
Also double-checked that stormlord weapon features will work with shortspears. Good news, they do.

one question: with this addition, can on handed staff/Quarterstaff/magical staff be available to be used by monks flurry?
or be taken as weaponmaster weapon focus item?

Not possible without coding an entirely custom Flurry of Blows.

I have looked into this and it would require a lot of work. Adding to Weapon Master is easy but it'd be rather pointless as magic staves are missing all of the other weapon feats, too, as magic Staves were not designed to be used as actual weapons. I would need to create every relevant weapon-related feat for them and add those to every class with fighter bonus feats. This is obviously doable as I did it for shortspears, but I can't promise it for this update. If I finish the other stuff I have planned and get some free time (and approval by other staff, since I believe there has been concerns about letting people use magic staves as actual weapons before), I can work on this, but don't hold your horses.

In the next update, there is 50 new epic weapons being added to the server! They are mostly meant to fill the niche of underrepresented weapon types, such as scythes, short swords, darts and others. Most of them will be obtainable through new merchant NPCs — one at the surface and one in the Underdark. It means that, while all of the new weapons are added to the loot table, some of them are loot table exclusive, obtainable only through a lucky epic drop.
Happy treasure hunting!
New weapons is always good.
Only i dislike the "some only epic drops" because that creates a monopoly, someone gets it and they can change 100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 gold for it and nobody else can have it except for people who farm nonstop.
They should all be available from the epic shops or the shops should be removed and all epics items made drop only.

Final update.
All shortspears have been added to stores and loot tables and are ready for implementation when the server is next updated. The first post has been updated with the most up to date information. Copying here.
In a coming update, we'll be making a few changes to polearms. First off, all polearms except the scythe and magic staff will be getting increased range. Spear reach will be increasing to twice the current range while Halberds and Quarterstaves will receive a slightly shorter increase. That is 3.0 for spears and 2.4 for Halberds and Quarterstaves.
In addition, we will be implementing shortspears. Shortspears are 1d6 x3 one-handed weapons, with a standard melee weapon range of 1.5. They are mechanically classed as Tiny in order to have them use the proper animation set. This also means both medium- and small-sized races are able to use them one-handed. Shortspears cannot be finessed.
Shortspear Stat Card
Base Damage: 1d6
Base Critical Threat: x3
Base Damage Type: Piercing
Feats Required: Simple, Druid, or Spirit Shaman
Shortspears count as stormlord weapons. Duelist abilities that affect piercing weapons do work with shortspears. Shortspears, despite being technically Tiny weapons,
cannot be finessed, due to hardcoding. Because shortspears are not meant to be a small weapon for the purpose of dual-wielding, shortspears are set as main hand weapons only: You can only ever use one shortspear at a time. They can still be dual-wielded with other weapons, though, and you can still do Big Spear + Shortspear with Monkey Grip. This may be looked at later, but I want to start conservatively.
Shortspears are actually two weapon types in one. Javelins are also available. Javelins have the same stats as normal shortspears, but also include a throw javelin property. Javelins come in quivers of 6, and one javelin is spent with every throw (6 charges, 1 charge per use). A javelin throw is a ranged touch attack that scales in damage based off of the character's BAB. Javelin throws have a Reflex save for half and use either the character's Dex modifier or their Strength modifier (if they have Brutal Throw).
Javelins may one day be edited to use proper attack rolls, like Shield Bash does. Ranged Touch Attack version is a placeholder for now.
Javelin Attack
Damage: 2d8, +2d8 per the number of attacks a character has (2d8 at BAB0, 4d8 at BAB6, 6d8 at BAB11, 8d8 at BAB16, 10d8 at BAB21, 12d8 at BAB26).
Reflex Save: DC 15 + Dex mod (or 15+Str mod if PC has Brutal Throw). The DC increases by one point at BAB 23, 26, and 29.

Can Javelins recover charges, or are they assumed to be destroyed on use and the charges permanently decrease?
If the latter, and since they use charges, can Javelins be recharged at the charger-stations?

They can be recharged at charger stations like any charged item. So you can RP that as repairing them a limited number of times before they are no longer viable.
An epic javelin item has 5 uses per day instead of 6 charges, representing much sturdier construction.

If the javelin throw is reflex dc, does it allow for evasion to work vs it?

Evasion should work normally, yes.
