Herran is seen slung over the shoulder of a monk, carried from the Ilmatari temple to the White Mask Theater.
Telia accompanies the pair, conversing with the monk as they go.
asleep? ... too many drinks? ... hit with a falling tree prop? .... rumors abound, changing with each passer-by.

After leaving the White Mask Theater, the monk makes his way back to the East Gate District. He finds a bench and sits quietly for almost half an hour, seeming to look at nothing in particular.

Posters like the one above would go up on a handful of bulletin boards in and outside of Baldur's Gate. Endelyon would also send several copies to individual locations. With the flyers posted, she begins collecting sworn and signed testimonies from the victims.

*A Note is left under it as the Order of the Silver Rose begins an investigation.*
To all those who feel they have been victimized in any way or have further information on the accused, being Liam the Golden, please seek out any Knight of the Silver Rose, or a hand written account (pm) handed to the guards at the gate to give your testimony as we begin an investigation into these alleged crimes. Please include which lawful authority the crimes were committed under or IN their lands.
Thank you,
Lady Elvina Aira-S'efarro
Knight Commander of the Order of the Silver Rose

The posters about Liam would start being torn down or otherwise left as a pile of ashes at the bulletin boards around the Gate. One might have seen a short, platinum-blonde girl doing this, if they were awake during early, early morning, though the figure was hooded.

A blue cloaked and fancy hat wearing elf, the same that could often be seen either lingering at the top of the stairs near the outdoor tavern, or sometimes underneath the message board when it's raining, would be seen strolling casually around the Gate at the wee hours of the morning.
As the elf exits the street behind the smithy and strolls casually towards the main square he would pause in his stride and peer curiously towards the hooded figure tearing down posters, then offer a quiet 'tsk'. "Hmm...", the elf murmured to himself before finding a nearby lamp to lean against and casually observe the vandal. The hatted elf would linger at that spot until the individual in question had moved off, his eyes seeming to follow the hooded figure as they left, before climbing up to loiter at his perch atop the taverns stairs again.

All are welcome to join in the festivities, though entry is limited to those skilled in melee combat. The entry fee is 600 gold coins, and the winner will walk out with 10 golden trade bars. There will also be a bookie taking bets. Tournament rules are simple You are allowed to use any of your melee skills, as well as up to 3 wards per match. For more information Feel free to contact Captain Greil of the Ebon Blade.
Late one evening, and as the moon reaches it's highest point in it's skyward apex over The Gate, a slim figure adorned in a hooded cloak and quality looking cloth finery might be seen to saunter past the fountain in the East Gate district, then move to linger near the message board in front of the Elfsong tavern.
The figure would then emit the faintest of scoffs and shake his hooded head as he hovered over one of the flyers posted on the billboard. Shortly thereafter, the hooded person would reach into a pocket within his cloak and move to scribble a short reply at the bottom of the flyer, the end of which would be performed with a noticeable flourish, before nodding to himself in apparent satisfaction and gliding off towards the Blade and Stars Inn.

In the light of early morning dawn, flyers pertaining to mention of a Masquerade Ball are adhered to notice boards around the city of Baldur's Gate; each of them baring an official wax seal of golden hue, stamped with the image of a radiant sun. The posters are later distributed down the Coast, inviting all to the extravagant event.

|| Time & Date ||
24th of October, 2015 at
1800GMT. [+0]
Add or subtract your timezone from this if you are having trouble.
|| Tickets ||
Tickets can be purchased from any of the Faithful (PCs) associated with the Song of the Morning temple at 5000gp each. You must assign a name to the ticket you are purchasing as there will be a list taken at the door. However, you may purchase a ticket for someone else. A tent will be set up at the Friendly Arm Inn at regular intervals in the weeks leading up to the ball. Here, PCs may purchase tickets and ask additional questions in character.
Ticket sales begin on Sunday the 4th of October. Tickets will NOT be available at the door. Purchases will be cut off 12hrs before the event is to take place. This is to better ensure smooth running and preparation for your enjoyment. Please have both a (real/fake) character name, and any login ready when you buy a ticket. This is to keep things organized and make sure no one is cheated.
|| Costume Contest ||
A costume competition will be held. After some trial and error at last year's ball, we have decided that this will be a pre-registered event. Those whom desire to enter the competition, must register their name upon purchase of their ticket and pay an entrance fee of 2500gp. Lock-out for entries closes 24hrs before the event itself. A screenshot of your costume is required with registration. This can be PM'd to
Hidennka. Voting will take place on the forum within 48hrs of the event. The victor will be awarded a (currently undecided) prize.
|| Rules & Baldur's Gate Law ||
Attendees are expected to adhere to the laws of Baldur's Gate; this includes the display of facial features to the town guard. Common sense is encouraged with the use of masks. The event will be attended and overseen by the church's Templar. Metagaming of NPCs will not be tolerated. Guests are expected to attend in costume, regardless of whether or not the costume contest is entered. However, we understand costumes and themes are not everyone's thing. Thus, for those not wishing to dress up, the bare minimum for required dress code is formal wear. Masks are encouraged.

Harbor District, 0400
A man in a dirty brown cloak may be seen late at night dumping a few small items into a sewer drain. His hood would be drawn up, his face shrouded in shadow, though keen eyes would notice a smooth gait and a sure step. He would then walk through an alley to the harbor proper.

A short while after the man in the dirty brown cloak had moved off, a silent figure would slink from his shadowy perch to peer down through the sewer grate towards what had been dropped.
The silent figures gloved hand would then flash towards the nearest alley in a rapid series of signals that only the most keen eyed of observers might catch.

A rumor may pass among the more literary inclined citizens and non-citizens of Baldur's Gate.
On the 20th of Marpenoth, a small commotion was possibly and inadvertently caused in the Shelf of Many Books in the Palace District, by a certain mixed-blood swordsman (who had recently been spending a fair deal of his time searching for books written in a far away language).
The rumor has it that this person—to some known as Smythe, or Jon Smythe—was far too eager to view all recorded history of siege defense made within the Gate stored in the Library, since its founding (if such ever occurred). As well, any recorded information about harbor defense.
If made available to him, he makes a number of notes as to routes within the Gate, some locations written down. He can be overheard to comment: "The panic could be...terrible."
Smythe also asks to view any possibly and available almanacs, communicating to the librarian that he wishes to consult the tides within the fall season...so as to gain direct and precise knowledge as to what hour, nee what minute, a ship could depart port, escaping departing the Gate at a moments notice.

The first
flyers advertising the college go up in strategic locations throughout Baldur's Gate.
"Come one, come all, and celebrate the formation of Bluesummer Academy, a college that will soon rival even Waterdeep's own House of Song! The Academy is currently seeking qualified applicants for both faculty members and students. Don't be a Bard, be a Bluesummer Bard! Interested applicants could write or visit one of the faculty members at the White Mask Theater."

A once-familiar figure wearing blue robes trimmed with white and wrapped in a starry cloak can again be seen wandering the streets of Baldur's Gate. She paused in front of one of the Bluesummer Academy notices and a very large smile began to spread across her features. She later wandered off with a nostalgic look upon her face until she disappeared into the Temple of Mystra.
