Dinner on a Sparrowhawk
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do,
than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines.
Sail away from the safe harbor.
Catch the trade winds in your sails.
Explore. Dream. Discover.”

Air Genasi - An Air Genasi see themselves as the inheritors of the sky, the wind and the very air of the world. They appear mostly human, with one or two unusual traits reflecting their quasi-elemental nature, such as a light blue color to their skin or hair, a slight breeze in their presence at all times, or flesh that is cool to the touch. And I had one on my ship.

Very expensive, I like it! So, Sel, what exactly do you do with this ship of yours? Any daring missions, perhaps a bit of raiding here and there?
"Raidin? Nae, Treasure hunting.." *He smiled Yes..in fact was only a few ol tendays ago , took her out through a dangerous storm in search for lost treasure. We found wot we lookin for too.! Never seen so many gems!"
Oh, that must have been bracing! Sailing through a storm! You know, I do have several ways of controlling wind myself... I wonder if I could make this ship exceed its already high speed with the proper weaving...
"It was, a normal person would had evaded it, but we were being guided by a magical compass. We put our trust in the compass and it sought us through"
Ah, even better! Nobody ever gets anything without a bit of risk. And I do find storms in particular to be very lovely.
"Oh why is that?"
I could open portals to the Elemental Plain of Air, and summon living wind to fill your sails...Storms and great winds resonate with my very being.
"Will have to keep that noted."
Perhaps next time you go on an adventure, you could make little me tag along, yes?
"Will do." ....."So tell me, wot else yer be doin besides walking up on men bathing at waterfalls ?"

I always find it interesting how much many no longer seem to like coming to Roaringshore, yet some still do. There will always be rough days and easy ones. Like a ship, we must sail through both. After all when all seems to be against you, remember, a ship sometimes has to sail against the current, not with it. It's logical to think one doesn't command wind in the direction it blows, but one commands a ship in the direction it sails. But with magic you can bend such logic. But with an Air Genasi, I can damn well command the winds in my sails. Now that's a savvy thought. Guess I will be keep'n this one around. For the Shore.
