The hooded woman looks at it and laughs uproariously!

'I will never cease to be amazed by what constitutes as art around here. And to think a treasonous bastard can be given such -honor-!' How the nobles and honored soldiers must be fuming.'

Yet more laughter as she walks away humming to herself.

[Down by the Hanging Head]
t'was a nice young Lad,
He Brought life and joy to the land,
T'was an honorable authority,
But the this saint was laid to rest
Down by his hanging head
Down by his hanging head
Misery holds his company!
T'was a saint, T'was a healer
Saved lives by the day,
Saved lives by the weeks
Honorable was he!
Down by his hanging head
Down by his hanging head
Misery holds his company!
Now Corruption and Greed
Now criminals are free,
Spanning the countryside as the "Authority"

A man clad in chainmail with a purple tunic and cloak reads the song with a calm expression. By the time he is finished, the calm expression has been wiped away with one of fury.

"Singing praises of the traitor Lightbringer? Yes, let us rejoice in the use of dark magics and attempted murder. Bah!"

The man is seen strolling off toward the temple of Torm.

A tall woman in spikey armor walks near the memorial stone to see if some idiots would have left something valuable there. Once, she had found rubies and jewels near a shrine of a god, so it was worth to see. She grins, as she remembers she bought a sandwitch from a wierd hin a the merchant camp, and starts to eat it, as she looks at the song. There was some wolf meat along with some spice rolled up in a soft bread. There was also some tomatoe sauce that had a litle oignon flavor.

She reads the song, then nods a few times to herself.

"Hm.. hell yeah. That's true.

It was a damn good.. sandwitch."

The woman then walks off, throwing the piece of bread that is always left without meet that no ones eat.

Those who wander through the cloakwood and take a moment to stop and make a rest, those who escape the spiders and lizards which creep up behind every tree, those who take a short moment to listen, those might hear the sound of blades cutting the air. The sound of steel hitting steel. The sound of heavily breathing fighters. The sound of combat.

Men and women cheer. Bets are taken. Coins are changing the owner.

Those who wander through the cloakwood might listen to the Night of Bloodletting.

A Wood Elf in Blue Armor and Blue Helm was seen whistling happily past the camp fire toward the City of Baldurs Gate. He had a large slab of scalps over his left shoulder as he strolled along....stopping to show the Fist guards and tell his destination to his camp in the Troll Claws....

He winked at female passerby and was heard to say as she looked at him in horror....

"Ye'd think one would hafta kill a hundored o' these fellas around here to inspire enough people off ta go hunt the Shadow Menance, eh? Life is so entertain'....I"m inspired and tryin' ta do ma part...Shadow Druids ain't sa tuff...who needs Druid magic to kill a Druid eh? Gonna make me a pair o' boots"

*he laughed then continued on, whistling happily*

Rumors flit about the men and women of Baldurs Gate of horrid murders of the Trade Way. Human bodies have been found lacking any skin, gore splattered upon rocks as a whole caravan was destroyed. Skeptism holds back most, but it is undeniable that travel up and down the Trade Way has been more tense as of late.

Rumors talk about the horrid attack on the town Beregost of late, and all of the death and destruction.

However, on the happy lips of many survivors are tales of Chiriu of Twilight once again. She was one of the first into the town at its defense, and although even she struggled against the hoard of orcs, she was spotted countless times carrying the bodies of fallen defenders of the city into safe spots, even having courage enough to run right through the orc hordes to do it.

Directly after the battle, she also helped Weavemaster Ivaris to carry more of the fallen to a place to be kept until the proper burial services could be met. Visibly exhausted, Chiriu of Twilight stayed for a bit more to make sure the town was safe, and then vanished into the moonlight as so often she does.

There was a rumour of the warblade clad in blue armour, travelling alongside the Sword Coast looking for a katana master. It was said that he wanted to bestow the gifts on the one he deemed worthy. They say that he is over 10 feet tall, wields a large greatsword and can breathe fire. A few curious villagers attempted to verify the rumour by keeping the watch at the local merchant campfire. As they were watching the road for the 10-feet tall giant, nobody payed any attention as the slim fragile-looking girl in blue clothing crossed the bridge. To her back were strapped two katanas, one made from silver, the other - from cold iron.

Whispers from the south tell of another undead attack, but this one on the Amnish town of Nashkel. The group of adventurers that had been there to originally help with the giant infestation were at first overpowered, but they managed to hold the walls along with the defending guardsman.

The last time Kel was seen, he was soaring down the many stories from the Iron Throne headquarters' roof. Ending up on the cobblestones in a pool of his own blood.

A slightly surreal scene greets travelers crossing the bridge south of the Gate this morning, pinned to one of the pikes is a chicken's head with a small note.

For consorting with demons, for disobeying the law, death. Let this warning serve to discourage all who would slander our fair justice.

Rumours doing the rounds in the city tell of a blond elf presenting the guardsmen on the bridge with the bird, and subsiquent chase to recapture the fugitive when one of the guards dropped it. The story varies, but one of the less wild versions tells that it took four elves from the Woods of Sharp Teeth, and three guardsmen to chase the animal down and corner it so it could be "executed."

It is unclear exactly what insanity spawned the rumour.

With only a day after the events of Nashkel, another attack by the undead came on the Lion's Way outside of Candlekeep. Adventurers traveling the road were ambushed by skeleton soldiers and those who fell quickly joined the legions of the undead. One of the sole survivors, a moon elf, rushed to find aid and brought back a score of voluntary fighters to battle with the undead. By the coming dawn, the undead were driven back by the brave adventurers and the surrounding towns were saved from the attack reaching them.

After days of ceaseless attacks by the walking dead, a strange calm settles over the land. Far from peaceful, those whose task it is to defend the people find themselves increasingly uneasy.

The thought no-one wishes to voice is this: If this is the calm before the storm, what will happen when it finally breaks over the folk of the Coast?

Another dockside killing is on the lips of the harbour dwellers. A decrepit old man was seen fleeing at speed from the Flaming Fist, only to take sanctuary in the Iron Throne. The story becomes confused at this point, alas, but witnesses agree that a Flaming Fist patrol demanded the fugitive be turned over...

His fall, everyone present noted, was beautiful to watch. The reflexive wince as he failed to stick the landing, completely understandable. Whoever the fugitive was, the solid Baldurian cobblestones made short work of him.

Rumour has it he was raised from the dead later just so a sergeant could yell at him some more, then released after a fine for resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and littering.
