Re: Underdark General Discussion Thread
Hello!
I hope everyone is doing good and having fun.
I noticed the UD seems a bit quiet of late. Well I've been away from the server for several years now heh. That said, If anyone is familiar with my character Dilarra Zau'Afin and would like to re-start Zau'Afin here, that would be grand.
No desire for conquest etc etc etc. Just good ol'fashioned fun rp. Stompguts and Pinto, if you are out there, please bring back Eloril and Eclav. That was fun days.
As for all you other former Zau'Afins, whether you were first generation, second generation, or third generation, come on down!
Sshamath is devoted to the males, which is fine. Go Vhaerunites! I saw Nimmy in game recently and that is always fun. Hopefully Izz'orgoll will come back too. He once bragged about having an epic version of himself which was baddass. I think he wants vengeance on Aloria who slew him one too many times heh. All good Izz.
In any case, I would love to rp with some of you. Ahh yes, and Shyntra baby, where are you?
Hopefully we can all congrate again in this UD here in Baldur's Gate. I'm hoping to play with you guys. Lets avoid much drama and try to be funny and light hearted, well as lighthearted as you can be in the UD.
For anyone else who might want to play with me but isn't sure about creating a drow, I'm a good builder and I'd be happy to help you.
Sincerely,
Lam aka Dilarra Zau'Afin

Welcome back then. . . and the UD is quiet because noise brings only death. There are people in the ud, so there will be people to play with if you can find them. =)

Actually, for the time being Sshamath is leaning towards females and Lolth, especially after a certain trial....have fun poking the Ulathallar and her cronies!Lambert wrote: Sshamath is devoted to the males, which is fine.

Some wizards are Vhaeraunites (not all as many resent the divine power) and it seems like a natural environment for them to flourish. There is a huge RP potential here. Plus it will keep Lolthites busy and not bored

Re: Underdark General Discussion Thread
Personally, I am trying to gather all the lolthites of the server and restart the Arac Tinilith group. Should that not be possible, at least re-establish the Lolthite group and breathe some spark of life back into the UD, thus the lolthites will take precedence over everything/everyone else, at least for the time being.

Re: Underdark General Discussion Thread
I'd like to help you with that. I'm trying to bring back some veteran drow players to Sshamath. Mayhaps we can work it out?
Shyntra? Eloril? Eclav? Izzy? Wait Izzy isn't a Lothite. Bah who cares. Izzy! Nimmy?
Zau'Afins? Dabel'Kithians? Moris? Koralis?
Lets have an UD revival!

Re: Underdark General Discussion Thread
looking to join the underdark for some adventure, was planing on making a rogue/assassin tanaurk orc, anyone in need of a servant and or body guard.
Also do non-drow get excluded in a lot of the adventure down there? That is why I am kind of hesitant about it.
One can only hold so many "coats" before it gets boring.

You won't be permitted to engage in any of the intrigue stuff as a "slave-race" and drow PCs will take pleasure in talking down to you. That said, I'm sure many of them wouldn't mind having a slab of meat to stand between them and the blades, arrows and spells of their enemies.7threalm wrote:looking to join the underdark for some adventure, was planing on making a rogue/assassin tanaurk orc, anyone in need of a servant and or body guard.

Tanaturk are able to be wizards, and thus, it's against the laws of Sshamath to enslave them.Baboonicorn wrote:You won't be permitted to engage in any of the intrigue stuff as a "slave-race" and drow PCs will take pleasure in talking down to you. Didn't know that! I'd assumed they were like orcs, goblins and kobolds in that any taught to perform wizardry are considered to be parlor-trick jesters and not true wizards anyway.Passiflora wrote:Tanaturk are able to be wizards, and thus, it's against the laws of Sshamath to enslave them.
7th: You may also want to know that tanaruuks are very small (well, short and broad) IG and don't look as imposing as you may have hoped.

They can be slaves if they arrive from outside the city and have no knack for magic. If they do though, they are considered free.

Re: Underdark General Discussion Thread
alright then, another idea I had was to start the gnomish freedom league, and allie it with kraak helzak on the surface.
Alot of problems with dwarf rp on the surface is that dwarves generally don't care about human affairs on the surface, I seen it tried many times but the elves and human organizations usually take over 95% rp up there.
I know this is a bit of a stretch but would dwarf/underdark rp be a viable thing to spark some life into the ud
My overall idea was to have a neutral good sibvierin community started some where in between the kraak helzak and the underdark. This would allow dwarves/rock gnomes(only, we can enforce this with scripts) to go so far as the sib village and not enter the ud proper. Same thing for drow they could reach the sib village but not get to the surface.
But still allow for some dwarf/underdark rp sessions
or would that be to far fetched lore wise, for most of the players down there.
if the dm team got on board with this plan, I could easily make the areas and let it play out for awhile and see what happens lol.
